Joe sat at his desk, trying to concentrate on the text in his journal.

He explored his side of the room, pleased with its neatness and order.

Then his eyes shifted to Tong's side, which looked like a war zone.

He sighed deeply. 'No point in being handsome if your place looks like a haunted house,' he muttered to himself.

Joe was grateful that his apartment was big enough to have two bedrooms. At least he could be alone in his place when things got too wild.

He read his diary again, trying to get rid of thoughts of the mess Tong had made. After a while, Joe decided to take a break and clean his aquarium. He found solace in watching the fish swim peacefully, a stark contrast to the maelstrom of chaos in Tong's life.

Just as he finished speaking, the front door opened and Tong staggered in, dragging a strange man behind him.

'Don't worry about me,' Tong said, waving his hand as he headed straight for his room.

Joe blinked, confused. -Tong, who is that? The stranger, tall, pale, and rather strange looking, nodded briefly to Joe before disappearing into Tong's room.

The door to Tong's room slammed shut, leaving Joe standing there with his mouth gaping. -What the hell? -Joe complained, shaking his head.

' I'm not even going to try to understand it. '

He returned to his aquarium, but his mind was still with this stranger.

Within a few minutes, he heard muffled noises from Tong's room followed by the signature laughter of Tong.

'Terrific,' Joe sighed.

Now there's some stranger in our apartment.

What's next?

He packed up his cleaning things and went to his own room, determined to focus on his studies.

But curiosity got the better of him, and he found himself eavesdropping outside Tong's bedroom door.

'So, are you a real vampire?' Said Tong, sounding incredulous.

'Yes,' the stranger replied, sounding slightly annoyed.

For the hundredth time, yes.

'Very good,' Tong said. 'Can you turn into a bat? Or, for example, hypnotise people?'

Joe rolled his eyes. Of course Tong would be fascinated by the strangest things. He knocked on the door, deciding it was time for an answer.

The door opened and Tong smiled at him.

'Hi, Joe! Meet Mark. He's a vampire.'

Joe looked at Mark, who nodded politely.

'Nice to meet you,' Mark said, as if this was the most normal introduction in the world.

Joe pinched the bridge of his nose.

'Of course. Tong, why are there vampires in our apartment?'

Tong shrugged. 'I woke him up in the old warehouse. Now, it's my responsibility.'

Joe couldn't help but laugh at all this nonsense.

'Only you, Tong. Only you can wake up a vampire and bring him home.'

Mark raised his eyebrows. 'Are you really surprised?'

Joe shook his head.

'No, not really. Welcome to our mental hospital, I guess.'

Tong patted Mark on the back.

See? I told you he wouldn't mind.'

Joe turned to leave.

'Just keep your vampire gear close by, okay? And no biting.'

Mark smiled. 'I'll try my best.'
