Finally!!! Here you go, things are starting to warm up with a certian sombody... :)

Sorry for making you wait so long! Thanks! for waiting!

Emmet's view

I silently watch from the other end of the cave as Aurora tries to reason with with the mermaid. I couldn't help laughing at her facial expression when my sister told her how we communicated. The shock was so clearly written on her stunning face. We use the invisible links through the water that carry our messages to the merperson we desire. Although, everyone just uses the open links unless we need to tell a secret to someone but using a private link is a pretty hard skill to acquire. Luckily I've mastered it fairly well.

"Aurora, just leave the poor mermaid alone." I tell her privately.

She stubbornly replies, using the open link, "No. I don't even know her name yet."

"Yeah and you won't!" The mermaid huffs out and she crosses her arms but then her eyes grow twice the size. I sense her emotions rising into a new panic as she notices her transformed hands. "WHAT HAPPENED TO MY HANDS!?" She panics.

Aurora tries to calm the frantic mermaid, "They have formed connections between your fingers to make you swim faster, do not worry!"

"Im such a freak!" She whines again. A pang of disappointment hits me as I wonder why I am able to pick up on her emotions so well.

Aurora is clearly offended by the mermaid. "Excuse me? I could have let you die in the water but I chose to save you! We are not freaks. How dare you say that in front of the royal family?" She rants, the mermaid is stunned but stays quiet.

"Aurora, let's just leave her alone until she's learned some manners. Humans are quite unreasonable." I sneer, purposely using the open link.

The mermaid turns to face me. She's quite angry with me, I can tell from her raging emotions. "I hate you."

"Ouch." I snap back sarcastically, but in reality, ouch. That stung quite a bit at my heart.

"Just please tell us your name, this would make this a whole lot easier! I'm trying to help you here." Aurora pleas.

"NO." the mermaid snaps.

Aurora puffs out her chest but then smiles slowly at the sound of the mermaid's stomach rumbling. "You're hungry yes?"

"Obviously. I've been down here for hours!" She coldly replies.

Aurora steals a glance at me with a spark of victory in her eyes. "Then you are't going to eat at all until you corporate!"

The mermaid squints her eyes and stares at my gleaming sister. "Fine."

"Fine!" Aurora barks back. "Come on Emmet, let's leave her alone." Aurora swims past me and out of the cave and I reluctantly follow.

Charlie POV

I gotta get out of here! I thought to myself as the horribly hot, merman leaves with his annoying sister. Although, I'm not exactly sure how to use my new- tail. I groan out load but it's cut off as I remember I'm underwater! Fortunately I was able to breathe through my new gills. I shiver at the thought of me having gills but they are saving my life with every breath.

Glancing down I study my own tail. Golden scales start from my mid waist and travel all the way down where my legs used to be and are formed together to make a long, elegant tail. Faint silver lines mark the fins of my tail in an almost ancient-like writing. My tail feels heavy but the water around me makes it lighter than it is. I would be lying if I didn't think the tail, my tail, was beautiful. Looking up, I hope they are really gone before I grab the side of the cave with my hands. It's slimy and hard to hold on to from the sea life and algae, but I'm determined to get back to land.

What will I do with my tail once Im back on land? What if someone other than my brother found me? I wonder to myself.

The cave is extremely large and booming with all sorts of sea life. Many colorful schools of fish swim in and out of the cave. On the floor of the cave are much underwater plants which house many small fish. It's stunning down here, but I can't waste anymore time. I grab the wall of the cave, cringing a bit from the texture, and pull myself through. My tail remains lifeless as Im not exactly sure how to even move it.

As I continue to pull myself through the water, my tail drags on the floor. The sharp rocks stab into my tail and I bite my lip through the pain. The side of my stomach is also screaming out in pain from my wound. Apparently Aurora healed me while I was sleeping, which is a flat out lie. I probably was in a coma or something for weeks. I notice the fish in the cave have stopped and some have gone to hide. They seem to be watching me, waiting for something to happen.

Or I'm just going nuts. I continue down the cave and stop for a brief moment to rest. I hate myself for even allowing Johnny a chance. I should have seen through him. I should have known he would never want me. My heart takes a stab at the realization I was used, nothing more. All those sweet things he said to me meant nothing.

Even my own brother was fooled by his charm. Oh Nate. I wonder what he must be doing. How he feels right now. My heart mourns for the loss of our crewmen and I wish I could see Nate once more. He was my only family I have ever known and now I can never see him again. What will he do without me? I wonder.

"You know we wouldn't leave you alone right?" The deep voice of Emmet sparks into my mind. Ugh, I hate how they communicate down here!

I look up and watch him gracefully swim towards me, staring at me with hard eyes. I study his features as he approaches. A strong silver tail which shines blue in the little light of the ocean. He has a shocking contact of gold markings down the side of his tail and up along his waist and I wonder what that means. Matching blue eyes and broad, muscular shoulders. I notice their bodies are larger than humans, if he had legs he surly would stand over 6 feet tall! His silver hair is kept short but still long enough that in the water it flows around his head. I estimate it probably hangs down past his ears. I can't help myself to not think he's absolutely gorgeous but I force myself to push that away.

I frown at him and let myself float down onto the floor. I really don't like you. I mentally respond back, unsure if he even heard that.

His eyebrows go up and he sneers at me. "I heard that. You're not good keeping your thoughts to yourself."He crosses his arms and rolls his eyes at me.

For royalty, you don't seem to have great manners. I throw back at him.

"For a human, you're just what I expected." He replies.

I feel a bubble of annoyance stir through me and I'm surprised at the sudden emotion. I don't feel annoyed but I am? Ugh, mermaid emotions are confusing. I meet his eyes again and for some reason, I feel as if they are his emotion.

Why are you here! If I still had feet, I would have stomped my foot.

"To watch over you of course. So you don't escape but it seems to me you cant."He again, mocks me. Now I'm annoyed, beyond annoyed. Angry, pissed, a I-want-to-rip-off-his-head emotion! Emmet scoffs, "Calm down."

What? I ask, stunned.

"You're uh- easy to read little mermaid."he replies, he's obviously hiding something.

You are too. I snap back.

"Are you hungry?" he sighs, surprising me with his sudden change of hostile to gentleness.

Yes. I carefully say.

"I brought you some clams to eat." he throws me some sort of net made out of kelp.

Uh, clams? Uncooked clams? Gross! I eye the bag of clams, not wanting to even touch them.

"They're not going to kill you." he pauses before asking, "What do you mean by cook?"

Cook? You don't know what cook is?

"If I did, would I be asking you mermaid?" He barks back.

I scoff inside my head. Cooking is like, where you.. um prepare something to eat using a stove or oven. He raises his, cute, eyebrow and gives me a confused look. I let out a sigh, air bubbles flowing out of my mouth. An oven is where you cook something with fire.

"Clearly, we cannot cook since fire cannot start under water." he answers snobbishly.

Ugh whatever! I almost scream. I don't need your help! Just leave me alone, you- freak!" I spit out that last word and immediately I wish I could take it back. I feel shock run through my body and is quickly replaced by a hint of sadness.

"Just so you know, in case you had forgotten, you are a freak too." He angrily replies. "Eat or not, your choice."

Fine. I reach for the bag and take out a clam. I turn it over in my hand, unsure how to even open it.

"Like this." Emmet swims down and takes a clam and uses his fingers to pry open the shell at the mouth. Then, he puts it to his mouth and with a slurp, swallows it whole and throws the shell down. "It's good."

Gross... ew, no never mind. I'll starve. I protest.

"Come on, don't be silly." He says warmly. "Just crack it open with your fingers."

I shiver inside when I crack it open. It looks so, weird. I put the shell up to my mouth and I tip back my head and the clam slides down my throat. It's so slimy!

Emmet lets out a small chuckle and hands me another one. "You'll get used to it. Clams are my favorite, especially the white ones."

Why the white ones? I ask.

"They're extra slimy!" he says with a playful wink.

I shake my head. Gross.

"There are other food we eat, like crabs and certain kinds of water plants. I'll bring some later." He watches me crack open another and cringe when I swallow. He hides a small smile on his face when I struggle with one.

Looking up at him, I find his smile to be amazingly beautiful. Before I could stop myself I blurt out, You have a cute smile.

He inhales sharply and meets my eyes. "Uh- thank you..." he awkwardly mumbles.

Charlie. I state.

"What?"
