"HELLO, NEW YORK! how's everyone doing tonight?" jimmy cheered, his voice booming with enthusiasm.
the crowd went wild, clapping and screaming as jimmy waved them down. "tonight's going to be great, folks. we've got a special guest tonight, someone who's been absolutely slaying the music scene-please welcome, the one and only, valerie wilson!"
valerie walked out on stage to the sounds of applause. she looked effortlessly chic in a sleek black outfit, the soft fabric of her blouse flowing as she made her way over to jimmy. he stood up to hug her as she sat down.
"thank you! thanks for having me," she said, grinning at the crowd. her smile was bright, and she waved at the audience, feeling the rush of excitement and love from the crowd.
"you look amazing, as always," jimmy remarked, leaning in with a grin. "now, let's talk about your new album solace. what can you tell us about it?"
valerie's eyes lit up at the mention of the album. she had been dying to talk about it. "well, solace is a love album," she said, her voice warm and confident. "it's different from my last one-more personal, more raw. it's about love in all its forms, not just romantic. and it's really special to me."
the audience cheered, clearly excited. jimmy nodded, a teasing smile on his face. "a love album, huh? that's a first for you, right?"
"yeah," valerie said with a soft chuckle. "it's the first time i've really dedicated an entire album to love. it's kind of a big deal for me."
"well, we're all ready for it," jimmy said. "but here's the thing-i've gotta ask. why december 18th? is there a special reason you chose that date?"
valerie chuckled, clearly aware of where this was going. "oh, you know exactly why i chose that date," she said, playfully raising an eyebrow at jimmy.
"come on, tell us anyway!" jimmy teased, his grin wide as he leaned forward. "i bet the fans are dying to know."
"alright, alright," valerie said, rolling her eyes dramatically. "it's because december 18th is... someone's birthday." she gave jimmy a pointed look, knowing exactly how he was going to react.
"no way," jimmy said, gasping in mock surprise. "whose birthday?"
valerie let out a laugh, leaning in. "it's for billie."
the crowd immediately erupted in cheers and applause. jimmy's eyes went wide, clearly enjoying the moment. "billie eilish?! wow, okay. i see you, valerie. that's sweet."
"yeah, it is," valerie said with a small smile, her heart swelling at the thought of billie. "but, you know, i'm pretty lucky."
"you guys are the cutest," jimmy said, leaning back in his chair, clearly enjoying this little tease. "so, you're telling me that this entire album is for billie?"
valerie shrugged nonchalantly, her lips curling into a smile. "yeah, it's a love album. what can i say?"
"i'm here for it," jimmy said, grinning widely. "i think the whole world is." he paused, his expression turning slightly mischievous. "but, listen, i have one more favor to ask. when you see billie later, can you tell her that i, jimmy fallon, am her number one fan? like, really make sure she knows that?"
valerie raised an eyebrow, her lips twitching as she played along. "you really want me to tell her that, huh?"
"i'm serious!" jimmy said, pretending to be dramatic. "billie's probably watching right now, and she needs to know how much i adore her."
"alright, alright, i'll make sure to tell her," valerie said with a wink, turning to the camera. "hey, billie, jimmy says hi." she blew a kiss at the camera, her smile wide and playful.
the crowd went wild, cheering and laughing at the playful exchange. jimmy leaned back, nodding in approval. "see? she's perfect for you, billie. i'm telling you, you two are my favorite couple. i can't get enough of it."
valerie smiled, feeling her heart warm at jimmy's words. "thanks, jimmy," she said softly. "but honestly, this album is for all of my fans. i can't wait for everyone to hear it."
"we can't wait either," jimmy said, smiling back at her. "you're amazing, valerie."

after the interview, valerie returned home, still buzzing from the excitement of the show. she kicked off her shoes by the door and tossed her bag onto the couch, calling out for billie.
"baby?" she called, her voice light and playful as she stepped further inside.
within seconds, billie appeared in the doorway to the kitchen, holding brutus in her arms. brutus' tail wagged excitedly, his paws scrambling in billie's arms as he reached for valerie. behind her, shark trotted over, his ears perked up and a playful look in his eyes. shark barked happily, recognizing his favorite person.
"hey, love," billie greeted, her eyes lighting up as she walked toward valerie, her smile broad. "how did it go? i saw a few clips, you were amazing."
valerie smiled, her heart fluttering at the sight of billie. "it went great, baby," she said, bending down to rub shark's ears as he nuzzled against her. brutus jumped from billie's arms and immediately started licking valerie's face.
"you were so cute with jimmy, though," billie teased, laughing as she watched the playful scene. "he's such a fangirl."
valerie chuckled, wiping brutus' slobber from her face. "yeah, he was practically begging me to tell you that he's your number one fan. i told him i would, so..."
"aww, tell him i love him too," billie said, her voice warm and affectionate. she walked over to valerie, pulling her into a tight embrace. "seriously though, i'm so proud of you, pretty girl."
valerie melted into the hug, her fingers lightly tracing billie's back. "thank you, love," she murmured, feeling the rush of warmth that always seemed to flood her chest when billie called her that.
"i can't believe how far you've come," billie whispered, her lips brushing against valerie's ear. "you're incredible. i'm the luckiest."
valerie pulled back just slightly, gazing up into billie's eyes with a soft smile. "no, i'm the lucky one," she replied, her voice full of sincerity. "you've made everything better."
billie smiled, her eyes twinkling with affection. "and i'm never letting you go, baby. you're mine."
valerie grinned, leaning up to kiss billie lightly on the lips. "good, because i'm never going anywhere either."
as they broke apart, shark padded back over to them, his big paws thudding on the floor. he let out a playful bark, looking up at them expectantly.
"okay, okay," billie said, laughing as she reached down to ruffle shark's fur. "let's all go cuddle, yeah?"
valerie nodded eagerly, still grinning. "yeah, let's. but only if we can all fit on the couch."
the two of them made their way to the living room, where brutus and shark immediately claimed the couch as their own. billie flopped down beside them, pulling valerie into her lap.
valerie snuggled in, resting her head against billie's chest. "this is perfect," she said, her eyes fluttering shut as she felt completely at ease. shark curled up at their feet, while brutus rested his head on the couch next to them.
billie smiled down at valerie, her fingers gently running through her hair. "you're perfect, love. i can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you."
valerie's heart skipped a beat at the words, but she didn't say anything. instead, she closed her eyes and sighed contentedly, knowing that this moment, right here with billie, was all she ever needed.
