When Kenneth and the other two returned to the camp, Cassandra was in front of her computer with her fingers typing fast.

She still looked very serious. It seemed that something bad was happening.

Kenneth hurriedly walked to her and asked, “Cassie, what happened?”

Cassandra said, “A group of people are attacking the surveillance system of the camp. Another group

of people wants to hack my mini–program and master all the surveillance information of this country. I haven’t figured out who these two groups of people are!”

Cassandra was still typing. She didn’t stop typing for a brief moment. People beside her were waiting to witness a historic moment.

Cassandra suddenly shouted, “Jeremiah, catch that bastard!”

Jeremiah replied, “All right!”

People who had been fighting with Cassandra and Jeremiah began to carry out Cassandra’s plan, surrounding these people in the middle. Now it was time to put an end to it.

About another hour or so later, Kenneth was still standing beside Cassandra. He did not leave. He occasionally handed her water and food.

He knew Cassandra had an uphill battle to fight so he decided to take care of everything else.

More than a dozen people in the information security department were fighting with Cassandra. They could take turns to support her but Cassandra couldn’t. No one could replace her.

Eight hours later, a message finally popped up on Cassandra’s computer: Defense Succeeded. She pressed enter and breathed a sigh of relief.

“Ahhh!”

“Wow! We succeeded!”

Jeremiah smiled like a child. He said excitedly, “Elaine, you are amazing!”

Cassandra stood up and felt a little dizzy. She leaned against Kenneth and said angrily, “I don’t need you to remind me of that.”

Kenneth was happy to be Cassandra’s support. He took out a chocolate bar from his pocket, “Get replenished. I’ll take you to dinner.”

Nine hours had passed after he came back. They had been working before he came back. Cassandra had low blood sugar and being hungry was bad for her.

Cassandra said, “Okay.” After eating the chocolate, she seemed to feel a little bit more energetic.

Yannick couldn’t help but ask curiously, “Ms. Yates, who is the bastard that you were looking for?”

Jeremiah said with a mysterious smile, “If you beg me, I’ll tell you!”

Yannick was speechless.

Yannick hooked his finger and said with a wicked smile, “I’ll beg you if you come here.”

Jeremiah walked to Yannick proudly. Before Yannick realized what was happening, Yannick wrapped his arm around his n*eck.

Yannick said, “How dare you ask me to beg you? Do you think you can force me to do anything? Tell me now!”

Since Jeremiah knew it, he didn’t want to bother Cassandra.

Yannick was still wrapping his arm around Jeremiah’s n*eck. Jeremiah felt like he couldn’t even breathe. He shouted, “Let go of me!”

Yannick said, “If you don’t tell me, I won’t let go of you!”

Jeremiah said, “If you don’t let go of me, I won’t tell you!”

Chapter 266

They were in a stalemate. When they were bored of it, they found that they were left alone

in the tent.

In Cassandra’s tent, Kenneth fetched two lunch boxes and said, “Hurry up, I brought you two extra drumsticks.”

They had to make do given the current harsh environment.

Cassandra said, “Okay,”

Cassandra was hungry. She began to cram down the food. The moment she ate the carbs, she felt like she was back to life again. She was in a much better mood. “How does your negotiation end?”

Kenneth said, “Well, not bad except for a minor accident.”

Cassandra raised her eyebrow curiously.

Kenneth said, “Her Majesty was suddenly attacked by her illness and fainted. The negotiation was about to come to an end so we came back.”

Kenneth explained everything to her patiently.

Hearing his explanation, Cassandra nodded.

After eating some food, Kenneth had a meeting with Kayden, Daniel, Jeremiah, and Yannick. They summoned the negotiation to find out how to make both sides satisfied.

Yannick said, “Kamila is ridiculous. They want us to get involved in their dispute with Zosteylor.

“I don’t think we need to respond to this. There is something that can make Kamila compromise. At least, we can skip those unreasonable conditions.”

Jeremiah turned on a computer and opened a video.

It showed that it was Kamila’s men who attacked the Falcon Special Operations Force’s

camp. And it was also Kamila’s men who wanted to take down Elaine’s mini–program and control Zosteylor.

As long as this video was made public, what Kamila did would be offending Clusia and basically declaring war.

Before Kenneth could say anything, Yannick asked, “Where did you get this?”

Jeremiah said, “Who do you think is the bastard? There were so many people attacking Elaine’s mini–program. They must have a leader. The leader is the bastard. This bastard happens to be hired by Kamila. It cost a lot of money. Naturally, her purposes were made very clear to the bastard.”

Kenneth nodded. He thought this was plausible.

Daniel volunteered and decided to negotiate with Kamila in person.

Kayden hadn’t said a word. Suddenly, he said, “I would like to switch to another team. I want to go with Daniel to negotiate with Kamila.”

He didn’t want to go to the Queen’s Palace again.

He was afraid that if what happened today happened again, he might go crazy. He felt so sad for Cassandra.

At night, the camp was quiet. Cassandra and Kenneth were on duty tonight.

It was obviously Yannick who arranged this.

Cassandra suddenly said, “Ken, let’s have a vacation after the Evacuation Operation is over.” Every time she was away from home in the past few months, she was fighting with Kenneth. All she could remember now was related to the battles. It was quite a special experience.

Kenneth gently said, “Okay, but the shooting of Hello, Life is about to start. I guess we have to do it before having a vacation.” He was now the biggest sponsor of this variety show so he would know everything earlier than the artists.

Cassandra smiled mildly, “That’s fine.” Kenneth suddenly found that she was not in a good mood.

Kenneth asked with concern, “You seem to be in a bad mood. What’s happening?”

Cassandra shrugged casually. “I just had a nightmare. I am a bit affected by it. That’s all.”

Kenneth moved closer to Cassandra. “What kind of nightmare? Tell me and I’ll explain to you the reason why you had this dream.”

Cassandra said, “I dreamed that I was a little kid. There was another baby beside me but I didn’t know who he was. I saw a pregnant woman take him away and leave me there.”

If it had been someone else, it wouldn’t even have been counted as a nightmare.

Kenneth wondered whether Cassandra was abandoned in her dream.
