Chapter 49 The Man She Cheated With
The waiter dared not speak and timidly looked at Rosalie.
Rosalieâs beautiful face instantly turned ugly as she only prevented Claudia from spending money, but
did not say she would buy all the dresses.
The total cost of buying all the dresses in this store would be several tens of millions.
She didnât even try on some of the clothes, how could she have bought them all?
However, in front of so many people, Rosalie couldnât directly deny it, so she had to politely say to the
waiter, âWrap up what I just said.â
Claudia sneered and began to choose a dress.
Now, neither the waiter nor Rosalie dared to speak up anymore.
Claudia chose a white strapless long dress.
The handmade lace of the long skirt was lined around the hem, and the area of the bust was adorned
with small pearls strung into little butterflies, encircling the shoulders. They harmoniously echoed the
white roses on the chest, creating a unique and delicate design.
She really liked this design.
The waiterâs mind was filled with that card. Seeing her pick up this dress and examine it, he
approached and asked softly, âDo you want me to wrap this garment for you?â
The attitude was completely different from just now.
Claudia chuckled lightly, impressed by the waiterâs skill of serving dishes to customers.
âHelp me wrap this package.â Claudia ignored her and handed the dress to another waiter.
The waiter was a new intern who hadnât taken any orders all day and had been hiding in the corner,
secretly watching. At that moment, Claudia handed something to her, and she thought she was
dreaming.
She remembered that this piece of clothing cost 300 thousand dollars. If the order was successfully
placed in her hands, the commission alone would be enough for her to live on for a year.
The initial waiterâs face immediately fell when he saw Claudia handing the clothes to someone else.
Edmond stood by and watched her, a slight smile playing at the corners of his lips.
He knew that Claudia would not let herself be taken advantage of.
When he saw her take out that card, he was even a little happy. This indicated that she didnât want to
distance herself from him, at least not to the point of never having any contact again.
However, the cashierâs words in the next second made him lose face.
âExcuse me, is the cardholder of this card named âPedroâ?â
Claudia softly murmured âHmm.â
When Pedro left, he gave her a pack of cards, telling her not to treat herself badly and to spend it as
she pleased.
40 Vouchers
During the time of the Lamont family, Edmond was never strict with money toward her, and she didnât
need to use her own savings.
But now divorced, she left all the valuable jewelry and clothes with the Lamont family. If it werenât for
the Friedan familyâs home banquet, she wouldnât have casually bought such a dress.
In Enigma, her money was always managed by Pedro, so she naturally didnât hesitate to spend it.
âGet me another one of your latest handbags.â
Edmond found the word âPedroâ to be harsh on his ears.
What does it mean?
She had already started openly spending other menâs money before the divorce.
Edmondâs face was terribly gloomy.
Others didnât think much and assumed that this âPedroâ just happened to have the same name as the
celebrity.
Rosalie also thought so.
âEdmond, is this Pedro the wild man she cheated on with?â What kind of man can be so wealthy and
willingly be a mistress? She doesnât believe Claudia has such great charm. âWill she keep financially
supporting that man?â
If it was like this, then everything could be explained.
Edmondâs narrow eyes narrowed slightly, cold and indifferent.
âI thought she was so capable, but it turns out she was just using someone elseâs money all along,â
Rosalie said, wishing she could have
stopped Claudia right then and there.
After Claudia finished swiping her card, she sarcastically snorted, âDo you have any occasion to wear
this kind of clothes?â
âYou are a designer, and there are very few occasions where you need to wear this kind of clothes. I
advise you to think carefully, there is no need to pretend to be rich.â
The thought of her spending Edmondâs money made Rosalieâs blood boil.
âPutting on a brave face?â Claudia laughed. âMs. Clayton, you really like to meddle. Money canât buy
my happiness, I am willing.â
Rosalie wanted to say more, but she was stopped by Edmond.
âEdmond!â Rosalie exclaimed angrily, âShe is spending your money!â
It was because of this.
Claudia sneered, âYouâre thinking too much. This isnât his money.â
âIs it not his money? Can someone who earns a monthly salary of ten thousand afford this?â
She had investigated Claudiaâs salary, which averaged only ten thousand per month. Meanwhile, this
dress costs millions, something she couldnât afford even after working at the Lamont Group for ten
years.
âThey divorced and still spent other peopleâs money, really shamelessâ¦â
âRosalie!â Edmond frowned, âShe didnât spend my money.â
He remembered that when Claudia moved away, she even left behind
the jewelry he had given her.
She lacked nothing and scorned everything about the Lamont family.
This realization embarrassed him a little.
âIâm tired, make sure you call me when youâre ready,â Edmond said, furrowing his brow. He walked
away first, pausing briefly as he passed by Claudia.
Finally, he quickly walked out.
I bumped into Derrick just as he walked in at the entrance.
âHey, Edmond, what are you doing here?â Derrick exclaimed in surprise.
âCome over and do something.â Edmond nodded at him and as he brushed past, Derrick called
Claudiaâs name.
âWhy does it take so long to choose a piece of clothing? Did you find something you like? I am a VVIP
member of this storeâ¦â
Derrickâs enthusiastic appearance left the people in the store dumbfounded.
Is today the top member day?
How come all these VVIPs came?
Edmond tightened his lips and couldnât help but look back, only to see Derrick coming out with bags in
his hands, chatting and laughing with Claudia.
In the sunlight, the boy looked handsome and sunny, while the girl had skin as smooth as clouds, with
clear and sparkling eyes, like an escaped elf.

Watching their receding figures, Edmondâs narrow eyebrows furrowed tightly.
When she was with him, she was cautious and reserved. After the divorce, his wife, on the contrary,
blossomed like a flower.

In the store, Rosalie watched as Derrick and Claudia left together, unable to snap out of her daze for a
long time.
What did she see?
She saw Derrick and Claudia coming in and out, talking and laughing.
Didnât Elva tell her that Derrick didnât like Claudia? How come they now look like a family?
The words âa familyâ popped up, scaring Rosalie and making her tremble all over.
Hasnât the Friedan family already recognized Claudia?
She took a photo of the two of them from behind and quickly sent a message to Elva: âI just saw
Derrick, he was leaving with Claudia, laughing and talking. Whatâs going on? Didnât you say Derrick
doesnât like her?â
Elva, who was putting on makeup, quickly stood up and replied, âAre you sure itâs the two of them? Did
you not see it wrong?â
Rosalie: You didnât see wrong. I just had an argument with her. Derrick came in and took her
somewhere. Do you know where they went?
Elvaâs hands trembled and she fell onto the chair.
âOops!â The makeup artist didnât hold the lipstick steady and accidentally smeared it on her face. âMs.
Friedan, Iâm sorry!â
The makeup artist was sincerely terrified, trembling all over in fear.
However, Elva didnât care at all. She sat numbly in the chair, feeling a chill run through her body.
Today was the Friedan familyâs annual family feast.
Derrick didnât plan to bring Claudia home, did he?
Did they already know that Claudia was Seraphina?!
