Gia grinned as Garrett opened the door and she entered the waiting room, the door snapping shut behind her.

Alpha Terrant was in a state of destruction, as was the room. A table was flipped and a few chairs knocked over. Alpha Terrant was intently ripping up the documents and leather folder. He turned toward her and growled. It was very apparent that he was about to shift, and after looking around the last thing the library needed was to have a giant rampaging wolf in it. 'This is worse than the conference table' she silently said to Garrett on the other side of the door, she could hear his amusement.

"How dare you ask me to sign a blood pact!" He growled prowling towards her, "I have never been more insulted in my-"

"Alpha Winters would not ask you to sign it unless it was absolutely necessary." This wasn't the first time a male Alpha had gone AWOL in the library, most of the time asking to sign such a personal and binding document could only be done between good friends or as an attempt to stop a war. Never has any pack abused the use of the blood pact like Alpha Winters has.

"I will not sign a contract with someone that I have never met."

"Then you will not meet Alpha Winters."

Alpha Terrant blinked, his intelligent eyes were giving way to the dark eyes of his wolf, he was so close to shifting, Gia was looking in concern at the chair he was standing next to, it was Chris's favorite chair to read in.... She would not forgive him if he broke it.

"You have to give me more explanation than that." Alpha Terrant was trying really hard to reign himself in, "You have to-"

"I don't have to do anything. I don't have to explain to you the reasons why. If you want to know then sign it."

"This contract is practically a peace treaty. If I could speak with Alpha Winters, we could rewrite it to fit the circumstance."

"No! I have already explained the one condition to meet with Alpha Winters and that is to sign the contract. There is no other way. Do not pass go, do not collect 200 dollars."

"Do you think this is funny?!" Alpha Terrant growled. He was taking deep breaths, his fists balling up, as he glared at Gia.

Gia grinned, not a fun grin but a dangerous lethal grin, "You are not the first person we have had to kick out of here because they refused to sign."

"What I have to say is too important. I NEED to speak with him."

"Why do you think there is so little known about Alpha Winters and the Winters pack?" Alpha Terrant paused, listening intently, "Alpha Winters has learned the hard way that to protect this pack, certain precautions need to be met."

Alpha Terrants eyes narrowed, starting to look more human, "Like?"

Gia had to stop herself from rolling her eyes, "Secrecy. The reason why no one knows anything about the Winters pack is because they can't say or act on anything they do know."

Alpha Terrants eyes lit up, "You're not- That's insane." He went deathly still, considering what Gia was implying "Are you telling me that everyone has signed a blood pact? The whole Winters pack?"

"I am telling you that no matter how important your information is, Alpha Winters values the packs secrecy more." Gia hissed, "So sign with blood, or get out." It was obvious by her tone that she was done trying to reason with him.

"No. I need him to hear me out. Contract or not." Alpha Terrant started walking toward the door that lead into Alpha Winters office. Gia didn't move as she sent a silent message to both Garrett and Chris. "This is his office." Alpha Terrant said not really asking as he reached out a hand for the door knob.

It turned by itself and opened. Garrett stepped in the doorway, forcing Alpha Terrant to take a step back. "Can I help you?" he said leaning on the door jam, allowing the door to swing open behind him.

Alpha Terrant stared intently at Garrett, "I do not know you or your pack well enough to sign a blood pact. It is insulting that you would ask that of a Alpha that you don't know and refuse to meet. But now that you're here, I have time sensitive information that I need rely to you." He eyed Gia who was standing behind him calmly, almost bored.

Garrett folded his arms, "I am not Alpha Winters."

Alpha Terrant looked blankly at Garrett, apparently not able to comprehend what he said, he looked at Gia who nodded. He closed his eyes and took a few tentative breaths. Gia could tell that he was trying to calm his wolf down, because when he opened his eyes she could see the struggle of control. "Then who are you? And where is Alpha Winters?"

"I am Alpha Winters Beta. My name is Garrett. You have already met the Omega." He motioned at Gia, who smirked, "And you cannot see Alpha Winters until you sign the blood pact."

"Enough with the pact. I will not sign it! You cannot-"

"I don't know about you, but you are in NO position to demand anything from us. You are on our pack land. Our rules and laws are why we are one of the largest and strongest packs in the country, and our Alpha is the one who made it that way. So I don't care how many pieces of furniture you break. You will not be seeing Alpha Winters until you sign." Garrett's eyes grew dark, his wolf rearing for a fight.

Alpha Terrant was starting to lose control again, his face contorted as he growled in fury, "I am not leaving here until I speak to him."

"YES YOU ARE!" A deep voice growled back. Garrett and Gia's eyes widened as they heard Chris's voice grow deeper. She already had a relatively deep voice, for a female, but when she used her wolf it became even deeper and more dangerous. Most importantly it did not sound necessarily male or female. "You are offended because of my packs policies? Who was it that came here unannounced and shredded my library?! If you do not leave now I will assume that this is an act of war and proceed to eliminate the treaty our fathers signed and trust me when I say you do not want to find out if the rumors are true."

The color and fury left Alpha Terrant's face, he did not move to see the person behind the voice. He took a step back, his wolf was gone from his face and he glanced around himself, apparently finally able to realize the situation his temper had put himself in.

His brow furrowed, Gia thought he was going to start yelling again, but instead, he turned toward Gia and bowed. Not just a bow of respect, a low bow of apology. Gia's mouth fell open, he then turned and bowed again to Garrett, whose arm's unfolded in shock.

"Please forgive my inappropriate behavior, please send the bill to the Terrant pack. I will replace everything that has been damaged." He then turned and left quickly through the lobby door.

Garrett and Gia looked at each other in shock. "Did that just happen?" Garrett said.

"An Alpha bowed to us." Gia said, "That is a first."

A bow of the head is in respect of a higher ranking officer such as Alpha, Omega, Beta, or Delta. A low bow is a bow only used as a deep apology, and is never used by an Alpha; not because an Alpha cannot bow but because traditionally an Alpha has nothing to apologize for. Only an Alpha can compel a wolf of less rank to bow, which is another reason why it is almost unheard when an Alpha willingly bows.

They walked back into Alpha's office, "Everything taken care of?" Chris said still sitting next to Claire who had finally calmed down.

"He bowed to us." Garrett said sitting across from Claire.

"Who?" Chris said.

"Alpha Terrant, he bowed to both of us and apologized. He said to send the bill to him if anything was damaged."

Chris's face went blank, she seemed to be communicating with her wolf. "That is... interesting." She said standing up again. "Do you think he would do that to be in our good graces? Or is he actually sorry for what he did? How old is he? I might understand it if he was an older Alpha who was more mature."

Gia bit her lip, thinking, "I don't know he seemed young and appeared to be apologetic. Not like he was forcing it. It seemed like he lost control of his wolf for a moment there. From our previous experience other Alpha's just let them take over.... The poor library has had more wolves try to destroy it then read in it."

"Hmmm..." Chris said, in deep thought, "Gia I want you to find out more on his pack. Dispatch Alpha team if you have to. Also pull the file for their pack. I want to see what we already know about them. Garrett call Joseph tell him I need to meet as soon as possible. We need to discuss a very possible war."

"War?!" Claire squeaked.

Chris looked down, apparently she had forgotten that Claire was still in the room. "Is that guy really that bad?" Claire said pointing at the picture of Trawley on the desk.

Chris looked at her intently until Claire shifted uncomfortably admitting, "I accidentally peaked through the file when I was putting the documents in here for you."

Before Gia or Garrett could admonish her for looking at top secret files, Chris turned and walked away saying, "He is the reason I am Alpha."

Claire's face scrunched up in confusion. Gia coughed and said, "Okay, let's leave Alpha to it. Oh there is also a meeting for the departments at 1700 hours."

Chris nodded moving back around to her desk, she sat down and started sifting through the papers again. "Let's plan on telling them about Trawley then. Oh and Claire there is a brother wolf in my quarters, Please make sure he has some food and water."

The black phone on Chris's desk rang as everyone started to leave. Chris didn't pause as she picked it up, continuing her reading she said distractedly, "Alpha."

A deep, dark voice, with a thick British accent said, "It's been a while Alpha Winters. Or should I call you Christine, because we are such good, old friends." Gia stopped dead in her tracks and Claire bumped into her. Garrett's head whipped around as the phone emitted a dark maniacal laughter. Gia turned seeing the same shock on her own face reflected on Garrett's and Chris's. Chris's eyes narrowed, as the voice continued, "I really missed you."

"Who is it?" Claire whispered to Gia.

Chris's grey eyes had gone hard and her teeth clenched as she hissed into the phone, "Trawley."

The line went dead.
