The past few days has been miserable for me. There was a tension between Nikolai, Lachlan, and I. We weren't fighting or anything, but there was something between us.
Thinking about it, it's probably from when Rylan was here. He had caused a rift between us with what he had said. Nikolai was also pushing me to start standing up for myself but I just didn't see why I would do that.
I had been dealing with this for a decade, it's nothing new to me. Lachlan didn't like that this was normal for me and wanted to "talk some sense" into Rylan. When he said this I had become rigid. He couldn't do that and I told him it was a bad idea. Ever since then we had kept our distance from each other. It hurt me to stay away from them, but I didn't want to make them anymore upset or disappointed with me.
Right now we had decided to turn in for the night. Nikolai still helped clean up after dinner but tonight felt different for some reason.
We all headed to bed pretty quick after that and I tossed and turned before eventually succumbing to the darkness.

I was locked in the white room again. What had I done wrong this time?
He was going to come soon, right? Just a few days ago he had taken something important away from me, what is he going to do today?
"Damiennnn~ I hope you're feeling better. You're not mad at me, right?" He asked with a twisted grin as he grabbed my hair to force me to look at him.
I tried to answer him but my voice didn't work. Oh yeah, I had forgotten about that.
He let go of my hair before he picked me up and strapped me to a chair that was in the corner of the room. What's he doing now?
I watched as he grabbed a syringe. He had a crazed smile as he watched me struggle against my restraints.
No! Not again! Please! Someone, help me!
Please.... save me....

I shot out of my sleep, sitting up straight as I took in my surroundings. I was safe, he couldn't hurt me anymore. I wasn't back at that wretched place.
When I can back to, I felt someone embrace me. They pulled me into their chest and held me tightly as I sobbed silently and wrapped my arms around them, never wanting to let go.
They helped me calm down for a while before I pulled away slightly to look at their face. It was Nikolai who held me in his warm and welcoming embrace.
"You-you scared u-us, you kno-now." He told me softly as he gripped my waist tightly. I snuggled into his neck, just breathing in his scent before looking at him again.
I let go of him stood up from the floor that we had ended up on. I walked towards the table where I placed my papers down and grabbed one before I walked back over to Nikolai sitting down in his lap again and letting him hold me as I began writing.
'How did I wake you up?' I asked him. Just then, I felt a presence appear behind us. It then sat beside me and grabbed me tightly.
"I felt something crawling on me and realized there were a ton of spiders that had come into our room. I knew something was up with you so I got Nikolai and we headed down here to see what was wrong. When we got here you were thrashing around in your sleep with tears rolling down your face. I was so worried. He ended up picking you up and you calmed down after that." Lachlan explained to me as he hugged me tightly from behind. "I'm so glad you're ok." He mumbled into my neck.
"Can-can you pl-please tell us what you-your dream w-was about-t?" Nikolai asked me as he ran his hands up and down my sides soothingly. I nodded before writing down everything that happened.
'After my parents died I left. I left that house and never looked back, it caused me too much pain to be there. I ended up walking for a few days before I collapsed in exhaustion. Rylan found me passed out in the city and brought me to his house.
We were immediately friends, and I always stuck by his side. I should have seen the red flags sooner but by the time I noticed them it was too late.
His ability is magic. He can do anything with it. That's why he's in charge of the community, because he's strong and no one can oppose him.
One night we got into an argument and we went back and forth with each other before he had enough. He snapped and threw me into this room.' At this point I was crying while writing, making it hard for me to see. Lachlan and Nikolai both tightened their holds on me and helped soothe me until I could write again with my shaky hand.
'He strapped me down to a chair and chanted something. As soon as he was done speaking, my throat felt like flames had charred it. I tried to scream out but I couldn't make a sound. He soon realized what he had done and left.
I was alone in that room for days, slowly losing my sanity while I rotted away on the chair. He came back then and untied me, he brought me to a doctor and told them I had just suffered from a cold and lost my voice but it hadn't come back. I could tell he was panicking, the doctors found nothing wrong with me and he brought me back to that room.
He couldn't find any spells to reverse what he had done so he tried different kinds of injections. They were so painful but nothing worked.
Eventually he let me go but everyone was told that I was sick and had tried to attack him. After that people became hostile towards me and they never listened to what I tried to tell them. My dream was about one of those moments I had experienced during my time locked up' I finished off. Lachlan looked at me with such pity and sadness in his eyes that it hurt. Nikolai was upset too, he held me impossibly closer as he rocked us back and forth.
