It had been a few days since our relationship had been established. We all lived happily together and Lachlan's wounds were healing beautifully.
Currently we were seated at the table when a knock at the door startled us. I walked cautiously to it before grabbing a knife I kept by the door. Ever since Lachlan was attacked, I made sure I was prepared for anything that could happen.
I opened the door and was met with Rylan's beady brown eyes.
"We're here to deliver news." He said confidently. It was then that I noticed the group of townsfolk behind him.
"Out with it." I told him so we could speed this up. He seemed surprised to hear my voice before he shook it off and continued.
"According to a vote that was held yesterday, the three of you are to be banished from this community. You have a few hours to pack before you will be forced to leave." He told us before walking away.
I closed the door and sunk down to the floor. What were we going to do?
"Damien, baby, you need to breathe." Lachlan said from beside me. "We will just go to the next town, it's not a big deal." He said calmly.
"But you're still hurt, what if your wounds open up because of all of the walking?" I asked. He seemed to think about it before shrugging.
"You'll be there to help fix me up if the happens. It's going to be fine babe." He said. I took his words into account before looking up at him and nodding.
"Ok. We should probably go pack our essentials." I told them. Nikolai helped me up from the floor and the two followed me upstairs.

We packed quickly and head out before anyone could come and force us to leave.
We walked with the occasional conversation here and there and eventually decided to set up camp. Lachlan pushed for a while but his stab wounds became too much for him to continue so we settled down for the night.
"I'm going to check again and make sure you didn't open the scars." I told him as I went over to where he laid. Nikolai was currently setting up a fire for us so we would have warmth when the sun went down.
"That's alright, just be gentle. They're extra sore today." He said with a grimace. I nodded in understanding before pulling up his shirt. Everything looked fine to me so I pulled away to put his shirt back down.
"Thanks for taking care of this." Lachlan said as he gestured to his abdomen.
"You're welcome." I replied and sat quietly beside him.
Nikolai returned with firewood and started making the fire. It didn't take him long before we had a good sized fire and he backed away to sit by us.
It was at this moment that I knew everything was going to be alright. I had two beautiful males by my side that would protect me from anything that came my way.
I was finally free from my past and could move on peacefully to my next chapter of life.
They had helped me in my times of need.
They had saved me from the curse.
