Eudora George stayed home to finish her design for the next two days and she would fetch Juju to and from school.
Juju had gradually familiarized herself with the kindergarten. However, it seemed like she did not like Vincent Granger. She did not like to mention him at home.
It was a good thing for Eudora, since she had never wanted Juju to have a lot of contact with Vincent anyway.
At this moment, Auntie Valerie knocked on the door.
âMiss, the servant from the main building had come over and invited you, the Young Master, and Juju for dinner.â
Eudora was taken aback, âWhatâs the occasion?â
Auntie Valerie shook her head, âThey did not say.â
Eudora nodded, âOkay.â
Eudora told Amos about this when he returned. He was not surprised and he said, âLetâs go then. Auntie Valerie, you should go back earlier then.â
â¦
Everyone was already there at the main building when the three of them arrived.
They sat in the same position as they did last time, while Tiffany Leon sat next to Eudora.
The Old Master spoke after everyone sat down, âLetâs have dinner since everyone is here. In fact, there is no special reason for dinner tonight. I just thought that we rarely have dinner together even though we are living together. So, I thought that it would be best for us to have a family gathering once every weekend.â
Ah, so this was the reason why. It was not a big deal. After all, the Old Master was seriously ill, so it was reasonable for him to request to eat with his family once a week.
Harry Granger suddenly said, âBrother, thatâs such a simple request. If you want to, we can all have dinner every day!â
âThat wonât be necessary. I will get annoyed if there are too many people!â
Bethany Hamilton added, âYour brother likes peace and quiet now. A family meal once per week is enough. We live in the same household and itâs not like we are unable to see each other. Letâs also have the two children visit the Old Master more often.â
Speaking of this, Harry suddenly said, âActually, these two children have already proved their identities. Why donât we make an announcement about it?â
Bethany was taken aback while Kaylene Yoder, who was next to her, nodded in agreement.
âThatâs a good idea. The Granger family is not big. The Old Master must be in a good mood now that the family has two grandchildren.â
Eudora and Amos exchanged meaningful looks and they were a little unwilling.
What Eudora had in mind was simple. Being a child of the Granger family would bring forth too much attention and the pressure would be too much for a child. Moreover, she was not married to Amos yet, and announcing Jujuâs identity to the public might not be a good thing for Juju.
Amos obviously had the same thought and he immediately said, âItâs a rush for Juju. She is my daughter. In the future, we will naturally make an announcement after Eudora and I get married.â
Harry nodded and said, âAmos is right but itâs different for Vincent. Hank left us early and itâs not good to have a child without an identity. Brother, why donât you make an announcement about Vincent first?â
Harryâs words seemed to have stirred Bethanyâs sadness. She lowered her head and reached out to wipe the corner of her eyes.
Seeing this, Old Master Granger immediately held her hand, âWhat do you think?â
Bethany said hurriedly, âYou should decide about this matter! In fact, identity is not that important to me as long as the child is around. Iâm just afraid that it would be hard for Vincent.â
It was indeed not a good thing for a child to not have a proper identity. They had to acknowledge him sooner or later since Hank Granger had already passed away.
Old Master Granger nodded, âThen, itâs decided! Harry, you should arrange this!â
Harry was taken aback, he looked visibly flattered. âMe?â
âIâm not in a good health and Amos is busy. Youâre the only one who can do this, so Iâll let you do it!â
âI will make sure that everything goes well! You can rest assured!â
The event was set to happen in three days.
In the blink of an eye, three days had passed. Everyone in Rosaville City knew that the Little Young Master of the Granger family was about to return to the family. After all, this was the Granger family, the backbone of the entire Rosaville City.
Furthermore, he was a little young boy, who was likely to be the future head of the Granger family.
Therefore, as soon as the news spread, every media and businessmen wanted to get close to him.
It was a grand ceremony in the Granger familyâs new hotel, Rosaville City Hotel. Eudora did not like such an occasion but she had no choice but to go.
Eudora did not want to steal the spotlight, so she only wore a dark dress for the event and Juju had a simple dress on as well.
When they arrived at the main hall, they saw Tiffany in red and she looked dazzling. Everyone could see that she was in a good mood and she also wore a lot of jewelry.
Vincent was also dressed in a suit. He stood beside her and he looked like a young master.
Tiffany raised her chin to show off when she noticed Eudora staring at them.
Eudora pretended not to see it. Tiffanyâs dreams were not what Eudora wanted.
At this moment, the Old Master had already made his way downstairs. He was wearing a formal suit too for such a special occasion. Behind him, Bethany pushed his wheelchair and she looked elegant in a gorgeous rose dress.
After exchanging pleasantries, the Old Masterâs eyes fell on Tiffany.
The next second, his face darkened and he asked, âWhy are you wearing such a bright-colored dress?â
Tiffany was taken aback. She probably did not expect the Old Master to say that. Bethany also frowned, âArenât you going to change another dress?â
Tiffany immediately lowered her head bitterly.
âItâs all my fault. Vincent said that I would look good in red, so I didnât think too much about it. Iâm going to change nowâ¦â
Bethany sighed, âYou probably didnât think too much about it. Itâs alright. Hurry up and change. We are about to go!â
Tiffanyâs face turned pale and she quickly turned to return to her room to change her clothes.
Bethany then glanced at Eudora, âEudora is very well dressed today and Juju looks good too. Come on, Juju, come to Grandma.â
Tiffany, who had not gone far, turned back to glare at Eudora after hearing Bethanyâs words. The anger in her eyes was clearer than ever.
â¦
Soon after, all of them rushed to the venue.
Harry had spent a lot of effort into the event. It did not only look magnificent on the outside but the interior was also heavily decorated.
Harry and Kaylene immediately went to greet Old Master Granger when he entered.
âWhat do you think, Brother?â
Old Master Granger looked around and nodded. âNot bad, you have done a good job. If thereâs such an event in the future, I will ask you to hold it again.â
âThank you, Brother! Itâs great as long as you like it.â
After going through some of the agenda, Old Master Granger was tired and he went to the backstage to rest. After he left, Harryâs eyes finally fell on Tiffany. She had changed into a cream-white dress and looked much more low-key.
âWhy are you dressed like this? Arenât you taking the leading role today?â
Tiffany sneered, âWhat leading role? The Old Master didnât like me dressing up like that. What could I do? They even liked Eudoraâs dress more than mine! That stubborn old man!â
Upon hearing this, Harry was stunned, âIt seems like my brother doesnât think that highly of you.â
Tiffanyâs eyes darkened, âHe likes Eudora, doesnât he? If Eudoraâs reputation is ruined, would he still like her?â
