âOh, youâre both here.â
Tina Holt did not seem well. Her face looked sharper and thinner than before.
She nodded slightly, âItâs better for me not toâ¦â Before Tina could even finish her sentence, Christopher Gellert had already taken her hand in his.
âSince weâre all here, we might as well treat this as our honeymoon. We havenât spent a honeymoon since we got married anyway!â Christopher beamed.
Tina was taken aback by Christopherâs behavior. She frowned. Christopher, however, just smiled widely at her.
Back then, he told Eudora George that he liked Tina. That was the reason they got married in the first place. Now that Amos Granger was here, Christopher did not want to look pathetic next to him.
Tina had never seen this winning, handsome smile from Christopher before. Her brain short-circuited for a moment. They merely stared at each other in silence.
When Eudora saw what was happening, she left the couple alone happily and walked back to her car with Juju in her arms.
The three cars then started the journey to their destination. They were heading towards the hot spring resort that theyâve booked.
â¦
Eudora had booked three rooms, one for each couple.
Upon arrival, Harley Louis was the first to make a big fuss, âWho in heavens would want to stay in the same room with this blind woman? I want to change my room!â
Both Christopher and Tina were also staring furiously at the receptionist at the front desk, waiting for him to confirm that they could change their rooms.
However, the receptionist merely sent them a polite smile, âIâm very sorry everyone. Itâs peak season now so all of our rooms have been fully booked.â
Before Harley could kick up another fuss, Christopher had already spoken.
âHow could you operate a business like this without any empty room?!â
Tina, sensing Christopherâs reluctance to share a room, frowned. When Christopher turned back, she spoke up, âThatâs right! It is not convenient.â
The receptionist then asked them, âArenât you both together? Why would you need separate rooms?â
Christopher was at a loss for words.
Just then, Eudora and Amos came in with Juju from the behind. Upon hearing the receptionist, Eudora nodded hurriedly, âYes, theyâre married,â Looking back at Christopher, she asked, âWhatâs wrong? Is there a problem?â
Christopher picked up his suitcase in irritation, âNope, none at all.â
On the other hand, Harley and his companion had calmed down.
Both of them looked at each other and in an instant, they rushed towards the direction of their room.
âThe bed is mine!â
Eudora was speechless.
When the other two pairs left, Eudora rubbed her forehead in worry, âWhy did Harley take the girl with him?â
Amos laughed helplessly, âHe said that he was the only single fellow among all of us. He didnât want to feel like a fifth wheel so he just had to bring someone with him. It doesnât really matter, you donât have to worry about them. Iâll deal with it.â
Eudora shook her head, âI donât think that we need to mind them too much. Theyâre obviously a perfect match!â
âAre you turning into a matchmaker now?â Amos asked.
Eudora was confused, âAm I?â
âWhat do you think?â
The receptionist next to him smiled, âBecoming a matchmaker is not a horrible thing, you know. Itâs said that only happy people would want to convey their happiness by matchmaking others around them. You two certainly look like a very happy couple.â
Eudora looked at the man who was a real smooth talker.
After collecting their room card, they headed towards their room. When she walked past Christopherâs room, she deliberately perked up her ears to hear if there were sounds coming from the inside. However, all she could hear was silence.
Harleyâs room next door, on the other hand, was the exact opposite. It seemed like those two were fighting in there.
Eudora frowned, âWill anything bad happen to them? Itâs unfortunate that all the rooms are fully booked. They wouldnât be able to change their rooms even if they wanted to.â
âI think theyâll be fine. Donât you think that this is better?â
Eudora had thought the same initially. However, looking at the situation now, she really wasnât sure anymore. Amos, on the other hand, looked calm and relaxed, as if he had already expected this. Something clicked in her brain.
âYou booked up all the available rooms here, didnât you?â
Amos smirked, âTake a guess.â
â¦
Of course. How could there be such a coincidence? Everyone couldnât have come to soak in the hot springs at the same time. Eudora frowned, âWhy?â
Amos remained silent. He took out their room card and opened the door, putting everything down on the table.
âBecause he flirted with you.â
This guy was really narrow-mindedâ¦
Just then, a loud bang came from next door. Something had fallen to the ground. Eudora shot up from the bed, âIâll go to have a look.â
âMommy, Iâll go too,â Juju volunteered earnestly.
Amos looked at his girls helplessly. Both clearly had an affinity for gossip, âDonât move, both of you!â
The two immediately turned and looked back at him. Both of them pouted at the same time.
Amos surrendered in an instant. He walked over to them and bent over to lift the little one into a hug, whilst he circled Eudoraâs waist with his other hand.
âLetâs not get involved in other peopleâs affairs. The ride to this place was bumpy and long. Arenât you guys tired? Come, letâs have a rest.â
Juju was really tired. She hadnât been out in such a long time. On the way here, she could not bear to sleep, wanting to capture every moment on the road with her eyes. Now that Amos mentioned it, Juju let out a long yawn.
âMommyâ¦â
When Juju was going to sleep, She used to seeking for her mother. So, Eudora had to hold her and accompany her to lie down on the bed.
Patting Jujuâs back, Eudora started feeling sleepy as well. In a sleepy haze, she felt some rustling behind her. It was Amos, enveloping her and Juju in his arms.
Smelling the familiar scent of mint, Eudora found a comfortable position and finally fell asleep.
When Eudora woke, she heard the loud, insistent knocks on their door. Outside, he could hear Harley shouting, âAmos, Eudora, open the door!â
Eudora rubbed her eyes. Amos kissed on her forehead, âGo back to sleep. Iâll go out and take a look.â
Eudora had just woken up and she was still a little dazed, so she merely nodded.
Amos then walked over to open the door. He pushed Harley away from the door and proceeded to shut it, âYou better get something important.â
He was rewarded with Harleyâs smile instantly, âAmos, are you insatiable again? Iâll help you take care of Juju and give you two some private time. I promise Iâll do my absolute best!â
âShut upâ¦â Amos said while gnashing his teeth.
âOh!â Harley nodded as if he had just remembered something important, âItâs really late. Weâre going out for dinner and then enjoy the hot springs. Are you coming with us?â
Amos wanted to say no, but at that moment, Eudora had already opened the door, âOf course! Letâs go!â
They had slept away the whole afternoon. If they continued to sleep again, theyâd turn into pigs for sure.
âEudora is always kind. Well, weâll be waiting for you outside then!â
â¦
In the end, everyone wanted to take a bath in the hot spring. So, after having a light dinner, they went to the hot springs straight.
Since they all came together, the men and women were divided into two groups to enter the hot springs. The three women took the child to the womenâs side, while the three men went to the menâs side.
On the menâs side, as soon as they entered, Harley kept yapping on and on, âAmos, I have a problem. How could you stay sane with both a woman and a little girl at home? Women are literal demons.â
Amos glared at him.
âMy woman are different from yours.â
At the same time, another voice rang out, echoing Amosâ sentiments.
âHow could you compare your woman to them?â
