Steven laid there, lifeless. He did not smile, nor did he respond to her words.

After slapping him across the face, Kesha reached out to hold Steven and began to cry.

“Didn’t you say that you had other things in mind from the start? Why did you save me even after I tried to kill you? Are you stupid? You might as well be cruel to me like that day. That’s how you should be.”

She stood there and stared at Steven for a while.

Amos had always been in good health, so he woke straight up after the surgery.

Clint was confused.

After Clint left, Eudora glared at Amos as she went to sit down on the sofa. She then lowered her head and ignored Amos.

Truth be told, Eudora was not angry at Amos, but she really was worried.

She didn’t have much time left. Even if she was the one who got stabbed, she still could’ve protected her child. However, she did not expect Amos to block the attack.

She felt very regretful at the thought of the doctor saying that there would be complications.

However, Amos thought that Eudora was angry with him. He called her several times, but she ignored him.
