I relaxed my head on the arm of the chair and stretched my legs to the other end while waiting for Alicia to return with snacks she sought out to get. My attention went to Alicia's phone that kept vibrating and ringing non-stop.
I checked to see who was calling her.
The caller name was unknown which made me want to check it out but Alicia came in that moment. Her movement was so swift that I didn't see her coming, the bowl of popcorn, crackers and cookies she had brought fell from her hands but nothing was spilled, she picked up the call close to when it was about to cut and exited the living room in a haste.
I titled my head to the front door were she stood. She kept on looking side ways to see if anybody was coming before she stepped out.
I wanted to follow her to eaves drop on her conversation but I was hesitant of how curious I might get if I do listen and it leads to something else.
Normally I would've sat on the chair and deliberate on whether I should go or not but I didn't. I chose to be that curious cat and followed her. She was around the botanical garden but didn't go in, probably because she spotted Beatriz doing something in there.
I closely followed her into the storehouse and hid behind the pile of bags of rice. "Mhm..." I held my tummy when I hit the wheel barrow so hard I would've lost my balance, the pain was so much but I tried so hard to suppress it in.
"...... If she is still alive make sure to find her and the other one, you know what you have to do, don't call me until I am married, I will send you some money for the mean time" Alicia hanged up which was my cue to tiptoe out of the storehouse before I was caught.
There was little time for me to create excuse of what I was doing outside. I just went closer to the gardener who was cutting the overgrown flowers used to design the name of the mansion. I pretended like I was interested in what he was doing to avoid any unwarranted questions from Alicia.
"Priscilla!" Alicia yelled and I turned to see her waving her hand with a smile on her face, a fake smile, what I took out from the short conversation I heard I knew Alicia wasn't whom she appeared to be and she was hiding something big.
"I will be right over" I said to her, turning back to the flowers the gardener was cutting off, Alicia went in.
The sun got too hot for me and I knew my alibi had already played out perfectly before I went back into the mansion. Alicia sat in the position I was previously in and Jeanette was right opposite her, they were munching on the snacks Alicia had brought in before she went out for a phone call.
Alicia was laughing so hard like as if Jeanette had just said something funny.
"Here comes Miss Smitten" Alicia teased as I walked towards them, I didn't understand what's meant understand she started pestering me to talk about the conversation I had with the gardener. "So.... What do you think? He is boring right?" She asked.
"Not really...." I replied not understanding where she was coming from.
Alicia covered her mouth in horror, "I can't believe.... You find him interesting" she said and I nodded in response.
I did actually learn a lot about flowers from him, if it wasn't for the scorching sun I would've gotten my notepad and gotten ready for a lesson about flowers.
"What is it Alicia? Tell me" Jeanette urged Alicia in an unrecognizable accent. "Who isn't interesting?"
"I can't believe you really are into boring Daniel, which explains the flowers" "What?!" I would've said but Jeanette took the word right out of my mouth as she too couldn't believe it.
I was the only one lost which made me think back to the flowers from that night and I didn't stop myself from covering my mouth as well.
Alicia took it upon herself to fill Jeanette on the the exciting missing details about the flowers from yesterday. She added a bit of spice on the story which wasn't there...... I am sure every body loves an overly exaggerated part of a story cause Jeanette couldn't help herself from laughing at my plight.
Only if they knew who exactly sent those flowers.
"Yeah... You need to see her face when I called out to her, she blatantly refused to come along with me, it was like she was in love" Alicia prolonged the love to my face and they both laughed.
"I have never had an admirer before, you sure are lucky Jasmine" Jeanette said which made me frown.
Didn't she know my name?
"Janet it's Priscilla not Jasmine" Alicia thought to correct her before she automatically starts calling me Jasmine.

They both went back into laughing at my choice of men before Xander walked in on
us.
"Hello Ladies, mind if I join" he didn't wait for any of us to respond before he sat next
to me but not very close. "So what were you all giggling about".
"About Priscilla's admirer and soon to be boyfriend" Alicia replied.
I tried to shy away from Xander's gaze that were now hovering around me. I should've tried to seal Alicia's lips, that way she would stop talking about things she doesn't fully know of.
"And who is this admirer?" Xander asked to no one in particular.
"Daniel the the gardner" Alicia said almost sounding like she wanted to laugh but was holding it in.
I notice the sudden strain in Xander's voice when he asked further if I was considering dating him and I refuse to respond.
And Why? Because I will be indirectly saying yes to Damon and which isn't what I wanted. I don't want to date Damon, I don't even like him in that way and what's worse is everyone would be thinking Daniel was actually the guy I would be dating and they would later be disappointed when they find out he truth which is not what I wanted. "I don't know yet" I replied rudely snapping at him and it caught Alicia's attention, it wasn't my response but the way and manner I had said it came out wrongly. Xander gave me a stern look before getting up. What right does he even have to look at me that way? This is someone who left my room to explain things to Alicia who was initially sad a week to her engagement ceremony and had refused to come out of her room for a whole day.
Xander left which made the whole excitement die down rapidly and we all had to look for what to say next to change the entire mood. After sometime Alicia sneaked away with an excuse of wanting to use the ladies room, which to her was on the the outside. She later came back in with questions about the baby and if it had started kicking. I didn't know how to respond because I haven't yet paid any attention to it yet and I have been receiving different pains, so I can't say it was the feet of the baby kicking me, when it is time I will know.

I thought of bring up the whole secret thing Alicia had wanted to tell me before but was scared she might not want to talk.
Though I didn't have to cause she began either way. "I am sure you are curious about that secret thing I said to you before, well it isn't much of a secret since almost everybody in this mansion knows including the maids, those ones even knew before I did"
"Yeah I am a little curious" I said to her.
"I knew it, well first off I will advice you not to get involved with Xander and Damon but since I am marrying Damon we will stick with Xander..... I am sure you are aware Elizabeth was actually close friends with Xander before they started a relationship, at that time I had already started something with Damon and it brought me and Elizabeth together cause of how she would always come in with Xander. Well to cut the story short.... I had a massive crush on Xander also at that time and it would've have been a reason I might've not wanted the wedding with Damon which is why I don't blame Damon for our first failed wedding." Elizabeth paused to look at my face and saw how interested I was in this whole story.
The truth of her having a massive crush on Xander wasn't new to me cause I know there is still a higher chance possibility of that crush still being or maybe it is even more that just a mere attraction.
She went on, "Soon I realized I was in love with Xander sexually and with Damon it was physical and mental attraction" Alicia giggled at herself. "I couldn't choose to be honest, cause I knew my best friend was involved with one of them, Elizabeth eventually picked Damon who also had loved her since they were kids before Damon was taken out of the country to study abroad, the whole Elizabeth marrying Damon was a disaster because Beatriz never even liked her for Xander and now she forced Damon to marry her.... God that girl is so...." Alicia bit her lip from speaking any further. I knew Alicia wanted to bad-mouth Elizabeth which was why she shut up. "Anyways, Damon and my wedding was called off and Elizabeth was received while Xander heard about it when he later came back a year after he ditched Elizabeth at the altar, I can't say what happen next but all I do know is Elizabeth caused the ruination of this two brothers...... May her soul rest in peace to peace, Amen" Alicia closed her eyes then opened it back again to see my facial reaction before she bursted into laughter.
I damn knew she was pulling my legs.
"Of course this isn't how it happened, one day I shall tell you when we get really close for now let's just gradually build our friendship, I had fun today make sure you gist me about your date with Daniel.... Jeanette and I are going shopping tomorrow evening at Damon's mall and I want you to come, hope you won't say no this time or bring up an excuse like the last time".
I laughed. "Sure I would come, I can't say no to another day of bonding".
