Beatriz laughed at the content of the newspaper before handing it over to Damon. "Read page 8" she said getting up to her feet and going to the lounge to seat next to Alicia who was organizing her final wedding plans with the wedding planner.

Curious to know what Beatriz was laughing about, Damon quickly flipped the pages, he was about reading the paper when the police forced it's way through the security guarding the gate creating a ruckus that triggered the police to pull out their gun, it was an extreme nightmare. Out of concern as to what was going on we all went out to find out, only to be shown a warrant for Damon's arrest.

Damon refused the handcuffs to be placed on him as he was willing to comply with the police, the scene was nothing worth watching, even the reporters were already present forcefully trying to get their cameras to capture each scene.

Alicia had fought through her way to meet Damon when he was a step into the car. Her eyes filled with tears she held his face, she uttered an heartfelt speech on how she would wait for him and would do everything in her power to bail him out.

The emotional side of me was already in place as I couldn't help myself from breaking down. I really wanted to go closer to him but my feet wouldn't let me, even the reporters had already crowded Alicia from speaking anymore to him.

Hoping he would look at me, my eyes were strongly fixated on him. Luck shined on me when he looked back, he only smiled at me. My lips pressed thin as I tried so hard to hold back anymore tears from falling, I gave him a nod before he allowed the police put him in the car.

The police car drove off with Xander's car trailing behind them. I really wanted to go along but Beatriz wouldn't let me, Alicia had gone with Xander instead.

She is Damon's fiancee after all.

The ambience of the entire house was sadistic, no one wanted to eat and there was worry written on everyone's faces, even I couldn't eat because I was worried as well. None of us cared to ask exactly how Damon was involved in Rachel's death, infact we weren't even aware she had died a day before Damon returned from his trip.

We all waited for Xander and Alicia to return with good news but that would likely not be the case since they haven't even bother to call us for the past six hours they've been gone. A distressed Beatriz kept calling on them but there was no response from their side which made us worry even more.

The whole TV was filled with news of Damon's arrest and how his stocks had fallen drastically under the past six hours. Here we are feeling restless about not having update about Damon and the news are busy having a round table discussion about the effect this had caused Damon's chains of business.

Indeed, Damon had lost a lot of his loyal investors, the worse was yet to come.

There phone call we were hoping to receive didn't come rather we received calls from family friends calling not to find out about Damon but about the cancellation of the wedding. It was like no one cared about Damon at all.

Out of exhaustion Beatriz fainted. With the reporters still hovering around the gate we were unable to take her to the hospital so the doctor was our best option.

The doctor complained about her blood pressure and that she should be taking things slow, he gave me some medicine to give to her every three hours and that no matter the case that she shouldn't be given any news that would increase her blood pressure.

The doctor left after wards. I sat close to Beatriz bed monitoring her, staring at her face, I wondered why she had so much wrinkles at this her age, was it that she worried to much or her bothersome sons made her this way.

I also took my time to look at the picture frames that held her graduation photo, her and her two sons, there was no sign of a wedding photo among the others. I did set my eyes on one that was face flat and a little dusty. Out of curiosity I raised it up to see Beatriz smiling beside a well built man with her head and hand on his chest.

Them man was so muscular, he had broad shoulders with large arm muscles. There was something scribbled beneath the bottom left corner of the photo, it read "B&L forever". The B stood for Beatriz but I wasn't sure what the L meant, either way unlike the wordings said it didn't last forever.

The door to Beatriz's room pushed open and Jeanette poked in her head and said, "You might want to come down, Alicia is back". My eyes beamed with joy with hopes that there might be good news regarding Damon's case.

I returned the picture frame the way it was and hurried down to meet Alicia. The facial expression she carried already explained what she hadn't said yet.

Alicia started with a sorrowful tone, her eyes watered with her own tears. I gave out a sigh taking my seat next to Jeanette, we both waited until she was ready to voice out what she was hoarding in.

Alicia took a deep breathe before she began. "Damon lied about his trip" Alicia voice strained as tears began to fall again," he was with Rachel the whole time, there is a footage of him coming out of her apartment thirty minutes before her presumed time of death, it was too short of time to determine if it was possible for someone to come in after he had left and there was no other person coming into her apartment.... evidence show Damon as the prime suspect" Alicia further explained despite her shaky, I knew this information would've hit her really hard, even I too couldn't bear it.

I was really hurt, it was like a sharp pain was thrusted into my heart cause I thought he told me he had moved on then why was he at her apartment that late, or why did he bother lying about the trip? Or was he at her apartment because he wanted to know if truly Rachel was pregnant cause I could bet he had no clue about that, all this and more speculations were running through my head.

I went to bed with hopes of a better news tomorrow. Even if he lied doesn't still make him Rachel's killer. He must be feeling lonely right now.
