Chapter 9: Chapter 9: Autunm Night

“Wow, this is amazing! It is really warm inside here!” Anne exclaimed happily.

“Thanks, older sister. If you like it, I can ask older brother (Fang Yu) to make it in your room as well. I don't think it is good for the baby to be exposed to the cold.”

It has been a week since Felix had the idea to use the konoe fruit as insulation for the house. At first, it was kind of hard to think of a way to put the filling on the walls. But Felix asked Fang Yu for help. And he had the idea of using some wood tablets to make an extra wall. Even if it used little more of the space, Felix was very satisfied. Now, the entire house has the konoe insulation. So no matter where you were, you couldn't feel the cold winds of the winter that was approaching.

“Well, then I will trouble little brother.”

“Fel, please go call your father and brothers, the dinner will be served soon.” Mother Rosie said from the kitchen.

“Okay.”

Today was the day that the farmers did their harvest. The winter was about to arrive, so all the farmers in the village went to help.

Walking to the fields. Father Lewis, Miles and Fang Yu were getting some vegetables in baskets along with other fellow villagers. Seeing Felix coming, the trio of men stopped their work with a smile.

“Father, Older Brother. Mom says that dinner is ready.”

“Already? It is good that Fang Yu helped us. Otherwise, we should still have to work until late. Thanks again, Fang Yu.” thanked Father Lewis.

“Not a problem, Uncle. Go and enjoy your dinner.”

“Haa… I am so tired. I'm dying of hunger. Come let's go.” Miles said, already walking towards home. Father Lewis said goodbye to the other villagers and was about to follow Miles.

Felix was also going to follow, but suddenly had a thought. Looking back, he said. “Brother Yu, do you…want to go and have dinner with us?”

Miles looked back at his father who had a similar expression. Father Lewis knew what his older son was thinking. He could only sigh and shook his head.

Lately, Felix and Fang Yu were getting along better with each other. Since they encounter each other in the forest, Felix goes to watch as Fang Yu does during the day. In medieval times, there wasn't much entertainment, so the villagers were full of gossip about those two. Specifically, Aunt Vilma and Aunt Susan were very excited as they were saying that Felix had finally found a good husband candidate. Even if Fang Yu was technically a beggar at the beginning, he was not homeless, he worked hard every day, had a good temper and was also good looking. So nobody looked down on him. What's more, there were some women and omegas that were jealous about the good relationship between the two.

Thinking about the rumors, the face of Miles was black as ashes. He quickly sped up to catch up with the two.

“Here it comes. Hope you are hungry.” Bringing the dishes out of the kitchen, the smell rapidly fills the room. The golden turkey was the main dish, besides there were some other vegetables dishes with some white rice.

“Wow, this is a really good Mother.” Rowen said. If there was a thing that he was sure was that his mother in law cooking was better that his own mother's. Of course, he will never say this out loud.

“Hehe, well I will have to thank Fang Yu. After all, he was the one who hunted the turkey.”

“Huh!? Really!?” Miles said with astonishment.

“Well, it was little Fel the one who saw it, and there were two, I thought that Auntie could make some good dinner.” Fang Yu said, putting his hand on the back of his head.

Felix was also looking at Fang Yu with admiration. Some days ago, he and Fang Yu went to the mountain at the back of his house. Felix wanted to see if he found some other useful fruits. But because of the previous accident, he wasn't allowed to go there alone, so he asked Fang Yu if he could accompany him.

There, Felix could see how amazing Fang Yu was with his bow. Like William Tell, with a single shot he took care of the turkey, he was sure if he had an apple on his head, Fang Yu could shoot it without a doubt.

Fang Yu noticed Felix staring and he got some blush on his face. Noticing the embarrassment of the other, Felix also got shy and looked away.

He still remembered the words that his rabbit system ask him a few days ago.

Even himself did not know. In his previous life, he didn't have time to think about love. He even didn't know if he liked boys or girls. Previously, he didn't care about marriage. But now that he had spent some time with Fang Yu he was not so apathetic about it anymore. Felix thought that if he married Fang Yu it wouldn't be so bad. He even maybe had some anticipation about it.

But he still hasn't made up his mind yet. For now he still wanted to get along with Fang Yu. His most important priority was to organize his feelings first.

“Is going very well! My teacher says that I have talent for this. Now, I can make some tools on my own.”

Rowen was actually a appredince of the blacksmith workshop.

Previously, he also worked with Father Lewis and Miles on the fields. But since Anne's pregnancy, he decided to join the Blacksmith workshop. Now artesans make more money than farmers.

Felix thought of how this world works. Apparently of what his system had said.

A person was only allowed to have an official job after the age of 10. Before that, the children could help whatever their parents did. For example, if your father was a farmer you could help on the fields or if your mother worked as a tailor you could learn to sew some clothes. But after the child turns 10, he or she can choose their own occupation.

In the case of Rowen, like his dad was working as a farmer, and he did it for eight years before changing to join the blacksmith workshop.

In the Felix family case, Father Lowis and Miles were farmers. Mother Rosie and Anne worked at the tailor workshop.

Felix also remembered that when he asked Qiu why did the previous Felix didn't have a job, his system said:
