Chapter 11: Chapter 11: New Contract

{Amanda}

I sat across from my parents feeling very self conscious as if I was being put underneath a microscope. At least that's what it felt like. Finn was sitting next to my parents grinning like a fool.

My parents were scowling at me and then my Dad looked at Finn and said, "Stop grinning like a fool and learn from your sister's mistakes."

Finn rolled his eyes. "Wow, even when my sister fucks up you still praise her! If it were me in her shoes you'd be sitting there scolding for the whole day! Finn, why can't you be like your sister! She never gets in trouble and she's super smart! And you two wonder why I hate you and her so much. You know what, fine! I'm going to say it as many times as I can. I hate you guys and I always will. As a matter of fact…"

He left the room and came back shortly with a document.

When Dad saw it, he was seeing red. "What is the meaning of this? A petition for disowning? For your own parents?"

"You guys always favored Amanda over me. You guys favor so much so that you praise when she's fucked up so hard that she gets demoted to a Class D Cadet! If it were me I would be the one signing that petition for you guys and I'd be out the door so fast that I wouldn't be able to count to three! Oh and I was going to invite you to my celebration party but I changed my mind," Finn said.

Mom looked at Finn. "Celebration party? What for?"

Finn smirked. "I'm glad you asked that. Lieutenant 32 has finally chosen her second-in–command and who it is?"

Mom's eyes went wide. "But isn't that spot filled by her husband Sergeant 54?"

I thought the same thing for a while but apparently Sergeant 54 is Lieutenant 32's husband like Mom just said, however, it doesn't mean he's her second-in-command. Oftentimes, spouses of Congregation Leaders don't have positions like that; they just work their regular jobs that they were assigned to before they got married. Much like how neither George or Branden is Triple X's second-in-command but Liam is. There had been rumors going around that Lieutenant 32 was looking for a second-in-command for a while now and no one believed her.

But now that Finn's been chosen to fill that spot he finally has something to gloat about. Not to mention he's absolutely right. If Finn were in my shoes he'd be disowned from the family faster than you could blink.

"It's funny because you guys praise Amanda for her failures and successes but overlook mine all the time! It's like you don't even have a son," Finn said. "So I'm finally able to make your wish come true. You two and Amanda need to sign this and I'll be out of your hair forever hateful of you guys."

Finn handed Mom, Dad and me a pen and we all reluctantly signed the paperwork.

Finn nodded. "Goodbye and hopefully I never see your faces ever again!"

He took the paperwork and marched out of the room, slamming the door so hard that I was surprised it didn't fall off its hinges. I don't blame him, I'd be mad too if I was in his shoes.

Once he left, Dad rubbed his temples in annoyance. "Damn, if he'd just stayed a little bit longer then he would've been satisfied with what we're going to do to Amanda."

Mom shook her head. "Probably not because he's right. The fact that we told him to learn from Amanda's mistakes did kind of sound like a form of praise and now we've lost our son when we should've been paying more attention to him."

"Yeah right, you're just feeling bad because we had another child who succeeded over our favorite child who failed miserably in life," Dad growled. "No use crying over spilled milk now."

"That's what happens when you play favorites. I'd say it serves you guys right," I said.

"Amanda Dawning! How dare you!" Mom snarled. She made like she was going to get up from the couch when Dad stopped her.

Dad shook his head. "She's right though. If we hadn't played favorites we would've still been proud parents regardless of Amanda's failures."

"Hey!" I protested. "I'm not a total failure. I'm still married to Congregation Leader Triple X. So that's gotta be worth something right?"

"You're right it is worth something. That's the only reason you're not a total failure," Dad said. "Which is exactly why I need you to look over this contract and sign it."

I groaned. "Another one? Can we just don't and say we did?"

"Absolutely not!" Dad snapped. "All we've done for you your whole life is bend over backwards and give you what you wanted and now look where it's not us. We lost a son through disownment and now we have a daughter who got demoted to a Class D Cadet because of how bad she screwed up her job."

"Alright fine, let me take a look at this first," I said.

When I read over the contract I stared at it in disbelief. The contract pretty much stated that if I don't get pregnant by Triple X in order to keep my marriage to him then I would be disowned as a daughter to them. The fact that my parents want me to get pregnant by someone that I don't even like just so I can stay married to him says something. But then again, that's exactly what I tried to do to George. So I guess this is what it feels like when the shoe is on the other foot.

Even in Triple X's new marriage contract it said the same thing. It said if I'm not pregnant by our one year anniversary then he could choose to divorce me and I would have to marry a spouse of Triple X's choosing. If Triple X decided not to divorce me then my only purpose for being kept in the marriage would be for having children. Even though I'd serve as a Class D Cadet I would basically be reduced to a Breeder Lab Rat but with more rights in the Organization.

Now I had a choice. I could either get pregnant by Triple X and still have some connection with my parents or I don't sign the contract and cut off connection with my parents making them out to be fools? Even though I resented my situation I didn't have the heart to leave my parents and make them look like fools. They don't deserve that because they did everything they could to make their golden child come out on top. I was on top there for a moment and then I fucked up.

Now Finn's on top but he cut off the connection and I don't blame him. As I said earlier, that's what they get for playing favorites. I sighed and signed the contract.

Dad smiled. "Good choice. I knew you wouldn't let us down!"

"Well I'm not pregnant by Triple X yet," I said. "The only time I had sex with him was a week ago right before he punished me for challenging his orders."

Unauthorized tale usage: if you spot this story on Amazon, report the violation.

"Wait? Did he have sex with you as part of the punishment?" Mom asked.

I nodded. "Yup. Probably because the punishment was that I wasn't allowed to have sex with anyone for six months."

Mom's jaw dropped. "Wow what'd you do?"

I looked down in shame. "I threatened George that if he stopped having sex with me that I'd get an order from the Council to make him continue to have sex with me. Then Triple X went to Queen Amore about it and she handed out an order that said that I wasn't allowed to have George's children and then Triple X told me not to go to Queen Amore to protest or he'd punish me. I went against his orders and went to Queen Amore. And then I was punished."

Mom facepalmed. "Where did we go wrong with you Amanda? We gave you everything you needed. If you'd just followed orders and done your job correctly then you'd still be on top. I think right now you need to work on not challenging your superiors orders. Next time Congregation Leader Triple X gives you an order, you follow it."

"Your Mom's right because the more you make him happy the more chances there'll be for you to have sex with him even though he's gay," Dad said.

"Yeah I think I understand that. I'll uh… I'll work on it…" I said. I looked at the time and it was almost 9pm. "Is it okay if I go to bed? I'm starting to get tired."

"That's alright dear, you can stay in the guest room," Mom said.

"What about my room? I thought you might have kept my room the way it was whenever I came to visit," I said.

"Oh, we didn't think we needed to. We figured wherever you were at you wouldn't have time to come visit us anyway. We did the same thing to Finn's room. Your room and Finn's have been turned into guest rooms. However, we do have your things from your room if you want to get them," Mom said.

"One more thing before you head up to bed young lady," Dad said.

"Yes Dad?" I asked.

"I'm going to meet your new husband. And I'm pretty sure we can reach some sort of agreement about you getting pregnant to keep your place in his family," Dad answered.

I nodded. "Okay."

Without another word I went upstairs to one of the guest rooms, took a shower and changed into some clean clothes and went to bed.

{Triple X}

I let Amanda stay with her parents until after Junior, Zoey and Levi's birthday party's. Zoey's birthday is the same day as Levi's so they always celebrate their birthdays together. I think it's cute the way Levi dotes on Zoey even though it's also his birthday.

Letting Amanda stay with her parents until after the birthday's I think was a wise move so that she wouldn't try and challenge my orders and show up anyway. I have a feeling throughout this whole marriage Amanda's going to do nothing but challenge me. Although now that I think about it Liam was like throughout our whole relationship especially with the other partner. I'm glad I broke up with him and can still be friends with him with hardly any ill feelings towards each other.

However, lately Liam's been asking about Elder Lewis a lot and when I asked him about it he told me he had feelings for Elder Lewis. I looked at him like he had grown two heads because honestly, how on earth can anyone fall for a guy like Elder Lewis? But that just goes to show there's someone for everyone. That is if Liam and Elder Lewis ever get together.

Anyway, when I went to pick up Amanda her parents' house looked nice. A cute little two-story house and the driveway looked well kept. The landscaping was a lush grassy front lawn with a cobblestone pathway that led up to the front door.

I walked up the pathway and rang the doorbell.

"Coming!" Someone called out. The door opened to reveal an older lady who looked like an older version of Amanda. She had sandy blonde hair and blue eyes. Her hair was pulled up into a ponytail and she was dressed in a uniform the Sergeants wear when they're retired. The uniform Sergeants wear when they're retired is an olive green shirt with green and black camouflage pants. She wore brown steel toe boots to complete the look.

I heard Amanda came from a family of Sergeants and they came from the congregation called: Army. The Army congregation is the lowest ranking congregation within the Organization. It's also the congregation where a lot of Sergeants and Lieutenants come from.

"Oh my!" the older woman said, "Where are my manners? My name is Grace and I'm Amanda's mother. I'm assuming you're here to pick Amanda up?" She looked at me and her eyes went wide and I'm going to assume that she recognized who I was. "Oh my goodness! You are my son-in-law aren't you?"

I nodded. "Yes, can I come inside?"

Grace smiled. "Oh yes! Come in, come in, come in!"

As soon as I stepped into the house I was escorted to the living room area and Grace ran upstairs. "Miles! Amanda's husband is here! Amanda get your ass out of bed now!"

I chuckled at Amanda's mother's antics. A moment later, an older man that I'm going to assume is Amanda's father and Amanda came down the stairs.

The older man who I'm going to assume is Miles came up to me and said, "Hi, I'm Amanda's father, Miles. It's so good to finally meet my son-in-law!"

He sat down on the couch next to Grace.

"And I must say you are very handsome. Whatever babies you and my daughter make are bound to be adorable!" Grace gushed.

"Don't forget to add in strong! They're definitely going to be strong as well," Miles said.

I cleared my throat. "It's nice to meet you two. Amanda, are you ready to go?"

Miles shook his head. "Oh no you don't! I want to spend a little bit of time with you discussing something in private if you don't mind?"

I shrugged. "Sure."

Miles had me follow him to a room that looked like an office room. On the wall next to the desk were a bunch of family photos. It was interesting to see what Amanda looked like when she was younger.

Miles took a chair from his desk and sat down motioning for me to sit down on the small couch in front of him. When I sat down Miles said, "So, when do you plan on getting my daughter pregnant?"

I choked. "Well not anytime soon. Not with what she did."

"Are you planning on keeping her in the family?" Miles asked.

"Until I'm done with her. I know that sounds harsh but she's not stepping out of this marriage on her terms but it'll be on my terms," I said. "She doesn't get to force her way into someone else's life and then leave as if nothing ever happened. Let me guess, you've never told her no on anything when she was growing up have you?"

Miles sighed. "You're right. We never told her no because she was the favorite of the family. That was our mistake. Our son recently disowned us because of playing favorites. It's unfortunate because he's been picked to be Lieutenant 32's second in command."

"Oh that's right. I heard rumors that she chose someone for that spot finally. I guess they were true after all," I said with a smile.

"Hopefully, Amanda will listen to you but she may not. She'll be a handful and I apologize on her behalf," Miles said.

I scoffed, "Don't apologize for her. She's the one who needs to suck it up and apologize for herself. So it's going to depend on her if I get her pregnant or not. If she follows my orders then I'll be more inclined to donate my sperm by artificial means to get her pregnant. She should've thought twice before forcing her way into a relationship where no one's attracted to women."

There was a short silence between us when Miles said, "Well let's go join the others so you can pick up your 'wife.'"

I snorted at the fact that he put the word "wife" in air quotes. Honestly, as far as I'm concerned, Amanda's only married to me on paper and it'll be the same thing for if or when she has a kid with me. There will be no feelings for her other than hate. That I'm 100% for sure on.

I stood up and followed Miles out to the living room where Grace and Amanda were sitting. I also know for a fact that I won't be calling Amanda's parents father or mother even if she manages to earn her spot in my family.

I sighed when I saw Amanda. "Alright, let's go home 'wifey.'"

Grace chuckled as Amanda's face turned red in embarrassment.

Good if that's what it takes to embarrass her, I'll keep that in mind, I thought. Little did I know that not only would Amanda keep embarrassing herself but she would be an embarrassment to the whole entire Organization.
