Chapter 18: Chapter 18: The Chaos Faction is Mine!

I was sitting in the pool table area that served as headquarters for the Rebellion looking over some files that Blade had left behind. I noticed there was a small file on a faction that had just recently popped up called Chaos. There were a couple of pages in the file so there wasn't much to go by about this group.

What Blade had already found out was that the group was new and only made up of fifteen members. That was everything that Blade managed to find out.

I groaned in annoyance as I looked at the file. "I hate not having much information on things!"

"What information do you need? Because I have some information for you," I heard Liam say.

I looked up and smirked at him. "Well, well, well if it isn't Informant 656! Congrats on the promotion by the way."

Liam rolled his eyes. "It was more like a way to make things right because I got fired for a bullshit reason in the first place."

I chuckled. "Of course. The Council can make stupid choices sometimes."

"Oh I have information on that new faction called: Chaos. I know who the leader is and I've reported it to the Council," Liam said.

I raised an eyebrow. "Oh? And who is it?"

Liam smirked. "I can't say. The Council has told me that they're just going to observe and not expose her just yet. Kind of like the situation that happened with Blade. Given who she's married to. They're wondering if her spouse can keep her on a short leash. And I feel so bad for her spouse."

That last statement tipped me off. I knew exactly who the leader was. Before I could say anything my cell phone rang and I rolled my eyes because the caller ID said that it was the leader of the faction group called: Cobra's. It was the same group that kidnapped Agent 36 and Agent 72 last year. It's hard to believe that they got kidnapped and their children have just turned four and Agent 36 is just months away from being back on the battlefield.

"Yes?" I said. I didn't even bother to hide my annoyance with him. His name is Anthony.

"Hello there, if it isn't my good friend Ronda!" Anthony said.

I rolled my eyes. "What do you want, Anthony?"

"You know that new faction that just popped up called: Chaos?" Anthony asked.

"Yeah I have someone looking into it-" I started.

"Well don't look into it because that group will be mine!" Anthony declared.

"Oh? And why not?" I questioned.

"Because I call dibs," Anthony said.

I groaned. "How old are you? Five? Good grief, if you want the faction then go after it. From what Blade was able to figure out before he died was that the group is relatively small. Only fifteen members. You'll have to fight the leader of course or convince the members to leave the current leader."

"That should be easy enough because their leader has been MIA for the past six months. I have a mole planted in there and from what I've been told Chaos's members have been rather complacent since they haven't been able to get in contact with their leader. I just wanted to let you know that I call dibs and once I take the faction from their incompetent leader it will help my group grow," Anthony said with an evil laugh.

I facepalmed and sighed, "Again, if the group then go after it. I'm not stopping you."

"Of course you're not, just letting you know," Before I could say anything else Anthony hung up.

I groaned again and honestly I've lost count on how many times I've groaned in annoyance today.

Liam snickered. "Aw how cute that he wants to take over Chaos. I wish him good luck on that. Hopefully, he won't expose her too soon because the Council is waiting to see what happens. They know about her cheating on her spouse because not only is the dude a Boot Camp Instructor but he's a mole or Informant for the Council if you will. I can't wait until she gets exposed finally. Another note: I finally have the child that Auntie 21 gave birth to about a week ago. It's a girl and I'm naming her Luna."

I smiled. "Well congrats on that too! Luna huh? That's a beautiful name."

Liam smiled and nodded. "It's a beautiful name indeed."

"So, the Council is just observing this new group?" I asked.

Liam nodded again. "Yup, they're just observing…"

I smiled when I hung up the phone with Ronda. Even though she was annoyed with me, it's pretty much an unspoken rule that you have to let the leader of the Rebellion know if you plan on taking over any new faction that pops up.

The Chaos faction has only been around for a year and after Blade took most of my members as punishment for kidnapping his daughter I could use some new members. I've already convinced some members to leave the group and join mine. Some of the members have become complacent because their leader has been absent for months now.

I took out the file that I had on the remaining members that had yet to leave the group. The Chaos faction was actually a little bit bigger than what Blade thought. It was actually thirty members long and not just fifteen. The leader seemed to be smart about hiding her actual numbers. It seems that the leader only picked fifteen of her members and listed them as the complete group.

In order to find out about this information I had one of the members who had left the group hack into the leader's computer.

The fifteen members who were listed as the complete group, have left and joined me. So Chaos might as well not be a group anymore. But in seeing this issue the take should be relatively easy.

After I hung up the phone I turned to my right hand man named Bob. "So what do you think?"

"I think if the leader keeps being MIA because of personal problems, I think this takeover will be like stealing candy from a baby," Bob said.

I smirked. "I think you're right."

This tale has been unlawfully obtained from Royal Road. If you discover it on Amazon, kindly report it.

Little did I know how right I would be about an easy takeover.

"So, any word from my informant yet?" Amanda asked.

I looked at her and shook my head. "No."

I knew the reason the informant hadn't shown up yet. He hadn't shown up yet because he left the group and joined the Cobra's. I was the one who told him the truth about Amanda's character and what she did. He didn't like her character and that's why he left.

As a matter of fact a lot of Amanda's group didn't like her character especially after finding out about what she did to Congregation Leader Triple X, Instructor Branden and Agent 72. With someone as stupid as Amanda who the hell would want her as their leader? In fact the only reason I'm with her now is to keep tabs on her to report her to the Council and to the leader of the Cobra's Anthony.

Yes I'm a Boot Camp Instructor, but I also have other duties because of my rank. The moment I found out about Amanda's group it was my responsibility given to me by the Council to keep tabs on her.

True Amanda's good in bed but as far as romantic feelings for her goes, there's no feelings there even though Amanda thinks I feel something for her.

Right now we're sitting in the living room of my house and I brought her home under the guise of bringing her home to the family. Since I'm not married yet I'm expected to bring a girl home even if it's a girl who's already married. I talked to my parents about the situation with Amanda and they have their reservations but have accepted her as my girlfriend for the time being.

In order to prevent an arranged marriage from taking place I would have to get Amanda pregnant and if she's still married to Congregation Leader Triple X, it counts as an automatic divorce and Amanda will become my wife. So every time we've had sex I've refused to put a condom on. At the moment it's a race to see if I can get her pregnant before her husband does.

After "waiting" for the informant to respond for another hour my parents called us to the dinner table.

Even though my parents had cheerful looks on their faces I could tell their cheerfulness was fake.

"Soo, how are you doing Amanda?" Mom asked.

Amanda responded. "Oh I'm doing fine."

Dad rolled his eyes. "I wouldn't be too friendly with her until she gets a divorce from Congregation Leader Triple X and marries our son."

"Dear! That's rude!" Mom scolded.

Dad rolled his eyes again. "Whatever."

The rest of the dinner was eaten in silence and after dinner I started to take Amanda to my room Dad pulled me off to the side.

I raised an eyebrow. "Yes?"

"You better make sure to get Amanda pregnant before her husband does," Dad growled.

"Or else what? You know I'm a grown man right?" I said.

"Yeah, I do," Dad said.

"Uh Dad, can I talk to you in your office privately?" I asked.

Dad nodded. "Sure."

We headed towards his office and after I closed the door I sat down on one of the chairs across from his desk.

"So what's going on?" Dad asked.

I sighed, "I'm not with Amanda because I love her."

"Why are you with her then?" Dad said with a raised eyebrow.

"You know how I'm also an informant sometimes for the Council?" I said.

Dad nodded slowly. "Yes…" Then he looked like he understood. "So, you're only with her to keep tabs on her?"

"And to keep you and Mom from filing a petition for an Arranged Marriage with me," I said. "And I'll get bragging rights for stealing a Congregation Leader's wife. But I didn't think it'll be much of a flex because Congregation Leader Triple X hates Amanda and he's only with her at the moment as a means of revenge."

Dad laughed, "Yeah I don't blame him considering what she did. And I'll talk to your Mom about the whole arranged marriage. Knowing her, she'll keep setting you up on blind dates until you find someone you like."

I deadpanned. "That's exactly what I'm afraid of."

Dad snorted. "What? We just want to see grandchildren before we die. Is that too much to ask?"

I rolled my eyes. "You guys aren't even in your fifties yet. So stop acting as if you can't have another kid."

Dad pouted. "But we don't want another kid. We have an adorable son who's bound to give us adorable grandchildren."

"Yeah, yeah whatever you say Dad," I said.

"Actually," Dad said. "Your mother and I should've been divorced a long time ago. The only reason we haven't been is because we agreed to have our relationship be an 'open relationship.' I've had a couple of affairs and she cheated as well. So it's been a back and forth thing and quite frankly we're getting tired of it."

"So why haven't you gotten divorced yet?" I asked.

"We're waiting on a couple of things…" Dad said.

I raised an eyebrow. "Like?"

"I get the woman of my choice pregnant and she gets pregnant by the man of her choice. The woman that I'm with I've already proposed to and she said yes. The man that your mother is with already proposed to her and she said yes," Dad answered. "We want to walk away from each other with our families happy with our choices. That's another reason why we want you to have a wife. If you have your own family when we part it'll be a happy ending for everyone involved won't it?"

"Well that doesn't make any sense at all!" I said with an annoyed tone of voice. "If your prospective marriage partners have said yes to you then just go ahead and get divorced already! Don't drag me into this just because you want me to 'have a happy ending!' For fucks sake! I'm a grown man and I can take care of myself."

Dad sighed, "We know and now that I know exactly how you feel about it, I'll convince your Mom that you'll be fine on your own."

I rolled my eyes. "Yes please do that. But I will still work on getting Amanda pregnant."

Dad tilted his head. "Why? You don't love her."

"I have a feeling that even if you talk to Mom about this she'll still set me up with suitors of her choosing," I said.

"Alright then, it's getting late. You go up to your room and work on getting Amanda pregnant, and I'm going to bed," Dad said.

I nodded and we left the office and went our separate ways.

I managed to contact an Informant that works for the Rebellion faction and he seems to be agreeable to help me take over the Chaos faction. The reason being is he's got a bone to pick with Cadet Amanda. He talked to Congregation Leader Triple X and he agreed to help us out. He knows about Cadet Amanda's faction and yes she's been reported to the Council but for some reason they just want to observe her.

Congregation Leader Triple X agreed to let Agent 72 be the bait to lure Cadet Amanda in. But not physically be there. He convinced Agent 72 to make a video of him looking like he was in distress by having him tied up to a chair and having him wear special effects makeup so that when one of my soldiers fake slapped him it would look like he had an actual bruise on his face.

I don't know how good Agent 72's acting skills are but hopefully it's enough to lure Cadet Amanda out in order to "rescue" her true love from harm. I can't wait to see the look on her face when she finds out that I'm the Chaos faction's new leader!

Today's the day that I'm finally going to put my plan into action. I knew that Cadet Amanda wouldn't answer the phone for an unknown number so I sent her a message. The message was: I have your man and if you want to save him you'll meet up at the gas station down the street alone.

Sure enough I got a response back: I don't listen to kidnappers. I don't believe that you have Congregation Leader Triple X.

I laughed as I responded: Oh no, it's not your husband that we have. It's Agent 72. You know, the love of your life? If you still don't believe me then check out this video…

I left an attachment of the video and her response came quickly: Okay, I'll meet you there! Just stop hurting him!

I responded: Okay you know what to do. You have two hours to get here or Agent 72 is dead!

After that I didn't send her any messages or look at her response. I just blocked her number and sent one of my men to head out to the location that Cadet Amanda would be picked up in. The man that I sent used to be one of her informants and she'll probably get tipped off that someone's betrayed her.

Two hours later my informant texted me: She's here and we got her.

I sent a message back saying okay and didn't respond after that. A half an hour later my informant arrived with Cadet Amanda knocked out in his arms.

I gave an evil laugh when I saw that and said, "Showtime…"
