Chapter 359 Check On The Surveillance.
Boom!
Deirdre seemed to be struck by lightning. She was so shocked that her soft lips couldnât even close together. âWhat?â
She thought she had misheard, but Kyran was extremely sure.
âI like you. The first time I saw you, I already liked you.â
Kyran typed very quickly, and his eyes were flowing with endless affection. âActually, if I hadnât fallen sick, you would have known it the day before yesterday. I asked you out to confess to you and formally pursue you.â
âHow could it be?â Deirdreâs mind was completely numb.
Kyran liked her? How could it be? How was it possible!?
âWhy canât it be?â Kyran rebutted calmly. âThe first time I saw you, I already got the feeling that itâs you.
It must be you. Iâve never had this feeling all these years. I think itâs called falling in love at first sight.â
Deirdre gasped and couldnât believe that Kyran had fallen in love with her at first sight.
That was simply too ridiculous.
âWith such an appearance of mine, you can obviously have a better candidate.â
âIf you fall in love at first sight just because of the look, thatâs tarnishing the word.â Kyran pursed his lips into a line and said earnestly, âI just felt that we are the same kind of people from the first sight. When I first met you in the church, I just paid attention to you. You donât care about how other people see you, and you have your own shining points. Those little details have attracted my attention to you. I canât help it. You have attracted my eyes to lock on to you.
âDeirdre, if I being mute, and you being blind is destined by God, then God has also destined that I will be your eyes and you will be my voice. We are, perhaps, a perfect match.â
âWe are, perhaps, a perfect match.â Although the icyâcold mechanical voice read those words out, it was scorching hot and scalding for some reason. It was so hot that Deirdre became confused and at a loss for words.
âKyran, donât be silly,â said Deirdre after a while. Kyran didnât type to reply, but he took a step forward.
Before Deirdre could react, Kyran had already leaned toward her, and his hot thin lips fell on her face.
She felt part of her skin was unbearably hot on those ugly scars.
âSo, do you still think Iâm joking?â Kyran was extremely serious. âMiss McKinnon, I wonât do any good by lying to you.â
Deirdre couldnât regain her composure. Thus, Kyran tactfully took a step back and stopped pressuring her.
âIâm telling you, just to let you know whatâs on my mind. I donât mean to ask for your consent. You can still treat me as a friend. Deirdre, you just need to know that I will never hurt you.â
When Deirdre came out of the ward, her footsteps remained slow. Someone came up to her. âAre you Miss McKinnon? Mr. Reed has called me to send you back to the hotel.â
âThank you very much.â
âYouâre welcome.â That man smiled and led Deirdre the way.
Meanwhile, Charlene walked into the hospital. Because the pendant on her bag was very valuable, she requested the nurse to check on the surveillance.
âJust check the one at the hall. There were so many people there, and I was squeezed. Someone must have taken that opportunity to pull the pendant off my bag.â
The staff manipulated the monitor, zoomed in on the screen, and sped it up.
Charlene stared at the screen closely. She suddenly saw something and demanded, â Stop!â
The staff stopped the video immediately. Charlene pointed to a crowd and ordered, â Zoom in.â
The staff did as per requested. In the image with relatively low quality, a woman was seen in the crowd.
She had simple, tied hair, striking knife marks on her face, and empty eyes. She was hiding in the crowd with her face full of panic.
In an instant, Charlene was surprised. âDeirdre McKinnon!?â
