Jisung's phone rang. Doyoung, knowing the younger was probably busy taking care of the human, picked it up.
'Hello?'
'D-doyoung?'
'Oh, Baekhyun. What's wrong?'
'W-where do you have Chenle?'
'Why do you want to know?'
Baekhyun didn't respond. He heard some faint noises coming from the other side, Doyoung knew there was someone with Baekhyun at that moment.
'Baekhyun?'
'I- Uhm... I want to know b-because I'm c-coming back home and... Uh I want to know if he's staying with us.'
Us? Baekhyun doesn't live with us, though.
'Oh, yeah. You'll find him here, he's staying in your room actually.'
'O-oh... Don't kick him out, yeah? I'm f-fine with it. Anddonthurthim!' Baekhyun hung up right after.
Jisung came out of Chenle's room teary eyed. Doyoung threw him his phone and the younger caught it.
'Baekhyun called. We might need some help.' Doyoung said. 'I get the feeling we'll have some unwanted guests soon.'
'What now? I don't really trust humans and I'm not in the mood to die yet.' Taeyong complained. 'Everything would be way easier if we got rid of Chenle, really.'
'No.' Doyoung argued. 'Baekhyun told us not to hurt him. I don't know why, but something tells me we should do as he says and keep the human alive for now.'
'You heard your boyfriend. Don't touch Chenle.' Jisung spat glaring at Taeyong.
Taeyong groaned. Oh, how he wished he could rip that damn human to shreds.
Jaemin was grinding on Jeno, feeling his bulge against his ass. They were on the couch and their make out session started getting heated as he felt Jeno's hands squeezing his butt. Jaemin's hands went to cup the older's cheeks and connected their lips again, moaning when Jeno bit his bottom lip harshly.
Jasmin started unbuttoning Jeno's shirt when an annoying ringtone interrupted them. Jeno took the phone and Jaemin groaned, jumping off Jeno's lap and sitting next to him instead.
'Doyoung?'
Jaemin didn't pay attention to their whole conversation and stared at the wall instead until the call ended.
'Yeah, we're coming.' Jeno hung up and Jaemin immediately went back to straddling his lap. 'Jaemin, not now. We have to go.'
Jaemin rolled his eyes in annoyance and went straight to their room to change.
'Y-yeah, don't worry. It won't take too long, promise.' Renjun hung up. He felt a strong gaze piercing through him, but when he turned around he only saw Dejun working with his stuff. He shrugged that feeling off and continued with his task.
Yukhei barged into the lab, startling Renjun.
'Guys, we have to rescue Chenle.' The tall male said.
'I... Uhm... Can I stay? I have something to finish and...'
'Yeah sure. I don't really think you'd be useful in a fight anyways.' Yukhei said.
Renjun was searching for any hint of amusement in Yukhei's face, but he found none. Yukhei was being serious. He just called him weak. Renjun wanted to argue back, but he knew the taller was actually right. Besides, he had some important stuff left to do in the lab.
'Are you coming, Dejun?'
'Eh... No, I'll stay. I need to do something here too.' Yukhei read Dejun's body language. It basically screamed 'I don't trust Renjun', so Yukhei just nodded and left Kunhang's lab. He then went to Dejun's, where Chittaphon was with the two vampires.
'Johnny, baby. I have to go. Be a good boy and wait until I come back, yeah?' Chittaphon kissed Johnny's cheek and the vampire himself went into his cage. Chittaphon didn't even bother locking Johnny's cage. However, he did lock Mark's. The shorter vampire glared at him, to which he responded by winking before leaving the lab with Yukhei.
After the car accident, people started gossiping about his father's death.
'I heard the curse even affected his own father!'
'I knew he was dangerous.'
'What is he going to do now?'
'Who knows. I'd rather not ask, though. They say even going near him is going to get cursed.'
'That's true! I once accidentally dropped the pencil near him and the next day I almost fell down the stairs!'
Chenle hid his face with his crossed arms on the table. He sighed loudly and tried to keep his tears in. He didn't want to cry, not anymore. It's not like that would help him, no one would even try to comfort him at this point.
He felt a light tap on his shoulder and turned around abruptly.
'Don't fucking to- Oh... Ji...' Chenle was surprised to say the least. As far as he knew, the vampire didn't go to the same school. In fact, he didn't even know if he was going to school at all. 'W-what are you doing here?'
'I... uhm... I heard about... the accident... I just wanted to comfort you, haha...' Jisung awkwardly said.
Chenle immediately got up from his chair and hugged the younger, staining his shirt with tears. He used the vampire's chest to muffle his sniffles, letting it all out now that he had someone to comfort him.
Jisung caressed his hair and hugged back, ignoring the whispers that he could hear coming from Chenle's classmates.
'He's so cute, it's sad he will probably die soon too...'
'Do you know him?'
'I think he lives near my house, but I've never talked to him.'
'Why is he here?'
'I heard he's a vampire.'
'That's why he's so good looking.'
'Who were you talking to?' Jaemin stopped walking. They were on their way to Taeyong's and Jeno had received another call a while ago, and Jaemin knew for sure it wasn't Doyoung again.
'No one.'
'Come on, Jeno. You were on a call right in front of me a few minutes ago. Who was it?' Jaemin tugged on Jeno's hand.
'It's nothing important, baby. Don't worry.'
Jaemin huffed but let it slide. He trusted Jeno, but lately he'd been having that feeling Jeno was hiding something from him. Jaemin didn't want to seem paranoid, but Jeno's actions were quite suspicious.
Once they were in front of Taeyong's door, Jeno knocked. Jungwoo opened the door and let them in.
'And Donghyuck?' Taeyong asked.
'I don't know. He said he'd come soon. He's been acting weird lately.' Jeno said.
'He's not the only one who's been acting weird lately.' Jaemin said rolling his eyes. He walked past them and plopped on the couch, next to Jaehyun.
