'Chittaphon.'

'Yangyang. What a surprise... I didn't expect you to betray me like that. I thought you trusted me. I thought we were a family.' Chittaphon said in a calm tone.

'Shut up.' Yangyang said, stepping in front of Chenle and Jisung.

'Don't you feel bad? What are you going to do? Leave your family behind? Just like that? Did all those years not mean anything to you?' He said in a more hurt voice. 'What are you planning to do, Yangyang? Who will you run to? Will they treat you like I did? Will they be a shoulder to cry on when you break down? Will they heal your wounds when you're hurt? Will they take care of you when you're sick? Will they be there for you when you need help?'

'Shut up!' He said, once again, advancing towards the exit.

'Don't you take another step.' Chittaphon said threateningly, showing Yangyang the knife his right hand was holding.

Yangyang's heart rate accelerated, and both Chenle and Jisung were holding their breath.

What if Yangyang betrayed them in the end?

All of them widened their eyes as they saw Yangyang taking a gun from under his sweater. His outfit was so discrete none of them had noticed the weapon hid underneath it. Chenle squinted his eyes as he analysed the gun.

It's not an anti-vampire gun. It's a regular gun. Yangyang was ready to kill a human if that meant we could escape.

Much to everyone's surprise, Chittaphon just smirked, not loosening his grip on the knife and not looking like he was getting out of their way anytime soon.

'You're not going to shoot, Yangyang. I know you. You would never-'

Bang.

A single noise that made everyone go quiet. The sound of Chittaphon's body dropping on the floor made Chenle assimilate what had just happened.

Yangyang shot.

Yangyang shot Chittaphon.

Yangyang quickly hid the gun again and motioned for the other two to hurry. They had to leave the building soon if they didn't want to get caught.

Yangyang pushed Chittaphon out of their way and they ran downstairs, not daring to look behind. The two humans felt as if time was slowing down. Kun, Chittaphon, Dejun, Kunhang, Sicheng... They were leaving all of them behind, throwing themselves in the arms of an unknown fate.

Jisung had told them not to worry, but Chenle couldn't help but doubt that. Where would they stay? How could they keep Yukhei and themselves safe?

They reached the outside of the building, immediately seeing the van that was waiting for them. Jisung sighed in relief, they had successfully escaped the building. With Jisung's friends around there was nothing the other humans could do to hurt them.

Taeyong was waiting for them, leaning on the van's side and with crossed arms. Through the window they could see Jaehyun on the driver's seat and Doyoung next to him. The back door of the van opened, and Renjun signaled for them to get inside.

The van was practically empty inside, besides from a stretcher that was in the middle and the three guys standing inside, it looked like a last minute ambulance.

As soon as they stepped in, Yangyang felt two pairs of unfriendly eyes on him. One of them, Jungwoo. He was shooting daggers at him. However, as soon as he saw Jisung placing the huge bag on the stretcher and opening it he proceeded to shoot daggers at Yukhei instead. The second pair was Johnny's. He grabbed Yangyang by the collar and pulled him closer, shamelessly sniffing into his neck.

'You smell of him. I can smell his blood on you.'

Yangyang shivered as he felt the cold breath against his skin. He didn't want to argue, he was surrounded by vampires and was in no position to talk back. He knew what Johnny was talking about. He smelt of Chittaphon. They'd slept in the same bed and now he was stained with his blood. He tensed up but didn't move an inch when Johnny started touching his body, brushing his nose against the fabric of Yangyang's stained hoodie.

Chenle saw that and gritted his teeth. He wanted to say something to the vampire for being a creep, but Jisung stopped him and discretely asked Johnny to stop.

Once he made sure they were all in the van, Taeyong closed the back door from the inside. Renjun was inspecting Yukhei's body, checking his eyes and mouth and making sure the body temperature was normal for a vampire.

'He's alive. He's just drugged, but he'll wake up soon naturally.'

'I'll wake him up.' Jungwoo said.

The vampire raised his fist, ready to make it land on Yukhei's face.

Chenle was mad. Not even five minutes in that van and Yangyang and Yukhei were already being treated like objects. And he knew if it weren't for Jisung he would be too. He squeezed Jisung's hand, tight, and closed  his eyes. He didn't want to see it.

He heard an impact. However, it wasn't as loud as he expected. He opened his eyes and saw Yukhei holding Jungwoo's fist. They were practically arm wrestling, but Jungwoo finally gave up and released his fist from the other's grasp, stepping back to leave room for the taller to sit up.

Yangyang immediately pushed Johnny away with all his strength and jumped on Yukhei, wrapping his arms around him and letting the tears flow.

'Get off.' The vampire said coldly. 'I'm not Yukhei.'

He pushed the human away harshly, resulting in Yangyang's butt landing on the floor.

Yangyang wiped his tears, happiness and sadness mixed in his heart.

'Oh, Lucas... It's good to see you too...'
