kenaið»ð
Aunt Delia??
kodað»ð
omfg
I completely forgot about her
mamabearð»â¥ï¸
Wait why does
Dylan have to be warned about your aunt
kenaið»ð
Because she has judged our dreams to become actors
and your decision to let us try out for Disney
kodað»ð
Mom, Dylan acts too in case you forgot
what if she says something to him?
mamabearð»â¥ï¸
Surely your aunt has more common sense than that.
kodað»ð
Do you remember what she said to Crystal when she came with me last time??
"I'm sure you'll realize soon enough that acting isn't reliable when this show falls through"
kenaið»ð
Ouch
I remember that
kodað»ð
Yeah I do too obviously
She said that right to me and crystal's faces, two weeks before the show premiered
I don't want her near Dylan
mamabearð»â¥ï¸
Oh honey I'm sure everything will be fine
kodað»ð
Mom, Dylan is really important to me
I don't need Delia scaring him away
He told me once that he had a girlfriend who didn't support his acting career
mamabearð»â¥ï¸
And?
kenaið»ð
What happened?
kodað»ð
They broke up!!
Obviously
And I maybe, kinda want to date him
So
I'll warn Dylan but you guys have got to keep her away from him, okay?
mamabearð»â¥ï¸

"This is freaking perfect!"
Out of all the reactions Olivia expected from Jeff Davis, this wasn't the one she thought she'd ever see. Blinking, she asked, "I'm sorry, what?"
"You two asking for the weekend is exactly what we needed," Jeff explained with a happy smile on his face. "I was going to give both of you Friday off anyways because we needed to move your scenes to tomorrow. That way on Friday we can film the stuff from World War Two with Arden and the guy playing Rhys."
"So you're letting us both go?" Dylan asked with his eyebrows raised, hands crossed over his chest.
"Yes!" Jeff assured wholeheartedly. "You guys deserve a weekend to relax and Liv, I know it's been a while since you've been home. Make sure you tell me bye before you leave on Thursday!"
With another charming grin, Jeff turned on his heel and headed back to the writer's room while Olivia and Dylan stood there, stunned.
"Did that actually happen?" Olivia questioned aloud, glancing at Dylan with wide eyes.
"I think it did," Dylan chuckled, nodding. "So, what time we leaving on Thursday?"

Dylan knew something was bugging Olivia, and her anxiety only worsened the closer they got to their destination.
Her hands gripped the sides of her seat and her teeth chewed nervously on her bottom lip. She couldn't sit still either, Dylan raising his eyebrows once she crossed and uncrossed her legs again. "Okay, what gives, Livie?" he finally questioned.
Her head snapped towards him, eyes slightly widened. "What?"
"I asked what's wrong with you," Dylan clarified, turning his body to face her completely. Motioning to who she gripped the seat tightly, he pointed out, "You're obviously stressing about something. I mean, you're acting like you were before you told me about the wedding."
Blushing, Olivia let go of her seat and placed her hands in her lap. Her eyes stayed trained downwards but Dylan, not wanting the topic to drop, leaned over and rested his fingers over hers to grab her attention. "Come on, the sooner you tell me, the sooner I can stop pestering you," he teased, grinning triumphantly as she cracked a grin.
"Okay," Olivia sighed, glancing up at him. "You know I how I said my cousin, Jack, comes from a small family?"
"Yeah," Dylan confirmed, his eyes squinting in confusion. "It was just him, his parents and a sister, right?"
"Well, I mentioned his parents but I didn't go into a lot of detail, especially about my aunt, Delia," Olivia revealed, holding onto his hand. "She can be...difficult."
Thinking she was just being hard on herself, Dylan playfully replied, "Everyone's family has someone difficult."
"Difficult is an understatement," Olivia scoffed, already getting riled up again from the last time she saw her aunt. "Aunt Delia is one of the most judgmental, and harsh, people in the entire world."
Dylan stifled a laugh at her hyperbole, responding reassuringly, "Livie, I'm sure that's not true."
"Oh really?" Olivia quirked up an eyebrow, ready to accept the challenge. Letting go of him, she adjusted her body to match his position and leaned her head closer to add emphasis. "When Delia found out Mom approved of me and Dani auditioning for Disney Channel, she went on a complete rant that's lasted to this day."
Intrigued, Dylan tilted his head. "A rant about what?"
"Acting!" Olivia burst, then lowered her voice as she remembered they were on the plane, seeing a few turned heads. "She thinks it's unreliable for a career and never understood how Mom could be supportive of us going to California. Ever since we made the first movie, she always tells us that our projects will fall through. I mean, I once brought Crystal home for break because she didn't have a place yet, and Delia insulted us about how 'We'll find out about the real world' or something like that."
Dylan's brown eyes widened; he couldn't deny that he was surprised. "Wow," he breathed, nodding his head. "That's...not what I was expecting you to say." It was a struggle for Dylan to grasp how someone in Livie's family didn't support her dream. To him, Olivia had to be one of the most talented actresses in the business, booking role after role to work her way up. How could someone say it was all a waste?
Then, his thoughts turned. "Wait, why are you worried about her now?" His curiosity got the better of him. "You're surely used to her comments."
"I am, but you're not," Olivia replied, gently poking his bicep.
Those words made Dylan completely understand what was running through her mind, causing his face to soften. "Livie, I'll be fine."
"You say that," Olivia shook her head, letting out a sigh. "But...you don't know her like I do. She's actually super sweet, but the moment someone mentions acting, Delia turns into the devil. I just, I don't want you to be uncomfortable or feel like you should be ashamed of following your dream, because I remember what you told me about Holly, and I'd hate to bring up memoriesâ"
Dylan acknowledged her nervous babble, smiling to himself before he needed to intercede. Tucking her fingers underneath her chin, he brought her face closer to his. Immediately, Olivia snapped her mouth shut, feeling her heart rate pick up from their close proximity.
"Have I ever told you that I adore your rambling?"
That is what slipped out before Dylan could think, but he let it go the second he saw Olivia trying to bashfully look away from him. "Hey, hey, hey," he faked a frown and moved his hands to her cheeks, feeling the warmth from her blush. "I'm going to be okay," he swore honestly. "We live very public lives, Livie, and I'm used to critics. Aunt Delia is your family, and even though she doesn't support our careers, that doesn't mean I'm going to ignore her. Your concern is adorable, and greatly appreciated, but everything will be fine. You trust me?"
Olivia tried to hide her smile, but it quickly burst at its seams, stretching across her face and brightening her blue eyes. "Yeah," she breathed, her worry melting away as she looked into his cinnamon eyes, seeing them practically sparkle. "I trust you."
Happy with her answer, Dylan grinned. "Perfect. Because I trust you too, and this wedding is going to be a weekend to remember, I guarantee it," he told her seriously, before leaning forward to press his lips to her forehead tenderly.
When he sat back, Olivia joked, "That's a big promise, O'Brien, you sure you can uphold it?"
"Oh, I know I can, Mason. Just you wait."
