WARNING

If you're an arrogant, egotistical, homophobic, racist, narcissistic, anti-feminist, bigot then this is not the book for you. So please, kindly, fuck off.

Also, this book is going to be intense.

There will be discussion about mental health issues. There will be some suicidal ideation, so only read if comfortable with that.

There will be mention of growing up gay in a strict religious household (Christianity).

There will be discussion about black lives, and about growing up as a person of colour.

So I'm only going to say this once, if you do not agree with any of the topics mentioned above please fuck off. I won't bother replying to your comments, I will simply remove, block and report. I will NOT tolerate ANY hate towards my characters or readers.

So if this offends you, even just a little, and you're still reading, then I'll say it again, get the fuck off this book.

All hate comments will be removed and reported.

I'd just like to take a moment to say that I fully support the BlackLivesMatter movement. I will not tolerate any racist or ignorant behaviour. It's time the world stopped hating people for something that a person is born with. It just doesn't make any fucking sense. It's time the world was properly educated. Why is it that people are hated for being a certain colour? Or for choosing to love a certain person? Or for being born with an illness/disability? Or for being born a certain sex? And then why does the world hate them more when they try to change themselves? It really breaks my heart. Why do these things determine a person's worth? A person's autonomy?

It's up to us to change the way the world is, and to spread awareness. If you want the world to be a better place then that change needs to start with you as an individual. The change you make as individuals directly affect the world around you, and hopefully one by one we're all accepted regardless of race, sexuality, gender, disability. The dominoes will fall one by one, it might just take a while but that does not mean you stop implementing change because one day change will come, as long as you don't give up.

Remember you're not just changing the world for yourselves and those around you but for those that are to come after. We need to help them have a better future just like our ancestors did for us. Think of Martin Luther King, Malcolm X, Emmeline Pankhurst, Marsha P. Johnson, Rosa Parks, Mohamed Bouazizi, Irene Sendler, Ryan White, Lilly Ledbetter, Misty Copeland, Malala Yousafzai, Tiananmen Tank Man. They were all just ordinary people and look at just what they achieved. Look at what they did. If you don't know who they are then I urge you to google them. If you know the names, or they sound familiar, but you don't know quite what they did then Google them. Please do some research. A lot of people think that they can't impact the world because 'I'm just me. What can I do?' These people were just like you and I but they impacted the world whether or not we know it. For example, the picture of Saffiyah Khan standing up to an EDL member that went viral. We all vaguely remember the girl who stood up to the white supremist even if we don't know the name or situation.  They stood their ground and did what they believed was right, no matter how hard the world they were living in was. No matter what they stood for what was right. Don't let the world knock you down, keep your head hold high no matter how loud their voices get.

Now I'm not telling you to go and get shot or to set yourself on fire. All I'm asking for you to do is look at what these people represent. What they gave up for us to have a better future. Stand up for what's right. Speak up when you don't agree with something. Because your voice matters, don't ever let someone drown you out.

A lot of books on wattpad have cliché storylines where the two main characters fall in love instantly and confess their love for the other within like two days; or love triangles that just infuriate me more than anything.

I'm a sucker for romance stories, even if they're cliché. Just as long as they're good and well written.

I think it's true that people fall out of love just as easily as they fall in love.

And I really don't like love triangles, cause well how can you say you truly love that one person when you couldn't even decide in the beginning, was it love or just infatuation. The way some stories are written on here it just seems to be a case of infatuation rather than true love.

Also it annoys me when someone feels a strong emotion towards another and they instantly jump to label it as 'love'.

It just shows how seriously people take crushes and lusting after someone, so certain that they're in love. How can you be in love with a person you know nothing about apart from what they look like? And no, I do not believe in love at first sight either.

I don't believe you can truly fall in love with a person until you've seen them really being themselves. Until you've seen them goofing around, smiling. Until you've witnessed their sadness, seen them cry. Held them close.

So I have attempted to write a book including all the cliches / stereotypes I feel comfortable writing about but with twists along the way.

Where the lonely kid doesn't fall at the jocks feet. And the jock doesn't have a clue what he's feeling towards the lonely kid.

Where I've tried to actively discuss issues going on in today's society for different groups of people. So if there's an issue you want me to mention or address, then please let me know!

I've tried to change my writing style as the main character's thoughts and feelings change, but I'm not sure if that comes through.

Also I love a good build up to a romance, where you can see the  character development before and after they've gotten together. So this is me warning you right now. There won't be any confessions of love or any jumping to do anything sexual for a while, A WHILE. I'm going to focus on them getting to know each other first as they gradually grow closer. So, don't go complaining about the slow build up.

Hope you enjoy reading and sorry about the very long author's note, I don't usually include them. There will be very few in this book, feel free to skip them (I normally do).

DON'T FORGET TO VOTE AND COMMENT!! I LOVE READING ALL YOUR COMMENTS! AND THEY KEEP ME MOTIVATED :))

Follow me if you want to be kept to date on when I'll be updating or if there are any issues with my update schedule. Don't worry, I don't spam my wall. I just keep readers up-to-date with what's going on.
