A special kind of happiness was radiating from my face. My lips were smiling on their own. They didn’t even seek my permission to do that. Everything was appearing great to me. I asked myself, “Am I in heaven? Is heaven like that? Everything is over. Everything is finished. Now, only happiness remains that I have to enjoy for the rest of my life. The nectar of life is right before my eyes and I have to go on drinking until my last breath. Wow! What a life I have got? No, no. Say it in this way. What a great life I have made of mine with my own hands! Yes! It’s the right statement.” I said to myself within my mind, “It was a long struggle. And yeah, a very hectic struggle too. I had to work a lot for what I have achieved. Day in and day out, I went on toiling hard mentally and haha, I guess physically too, to place my hands on the baggage of happiness that every boy under the blue wants.”I picked up a glass of hot milk placed on the side of my table and took one sip, “Wow! It’s very thick! Enjoyed it!” My eyes fell on the photo frame that was placed in the showcase right before my eyes. It was the group picture of my class when I was in the ninth standard.FlashbackI, Aman, was sitting by the side of the window of my classroom which was ninth standard. Beside me, sat my best friend, Paras.  There was no teacher in the classroom, as the history teacher was absent. Outside the window, the rain was pouring down. The cool wind coming from outside was making our hair move to its tune. I could easily see the waving hairs of my friend. On our table, rested the assignment files crying to be completed by us. In our right hands were the ink pens as using ball pens or gel pens were not allowed in our school.I said to Paras, “Buddy, in this cool weather, my desire for a girl’s company is increasing incessantly. I really want someone in my life now with whom I can share my feelings, sorrows and happiness, who can help me in completing my assignments.”Paras – Hmm...Aman – Don’t you feel like that buddy?Paras – Yeah, I also want a girlfriend. I don’t know how long we have to wait for that...He took a deep breath. I understood the meaning of his helpless breath since I was also the victim of the same.Aman – I don’t know why our society does not allow us to make girlfriends? What’s wrong with making girlfriends? Paras – Yeah, there is nothing wrong in it. In fact, it will be very good. If we get our partners right now, then we will not suffer from distraction. We will be able to focus on our studies better than ever.Aman - Valid point. Whatever you told is true, but the parents are worried about the security of their children. Because break ups often happen and the life of a girl is ruined.Paras – Hmm... Then what’s the solution to this problem? The way we are living our lives is also not good. We have to suffer from distraction, mental agony, loneliness...We are not feeling complete in ourselves.Aman – Yeah, there’s one solution to this problem. The solution is marriage. If parents get agree to marry their daughter, then I guess every problem is solved. Just think for a while that we are married. Now imagine how wonderful our life would be!Paras – Yeah, really, our life will become wonderful. In this cool weather, there would be someone who would be preparing tea for me. Aman – And there would be someone who would help me in completing my assignments too.Paras – Marriage is a good idea, but I don’t think that parents will ever agree to it. They don’t want to see their daughters become pregnant at the age of fifteen!Aman – But nowadays we can take precautions, so there is no problem with that. Now it’s 2022, and even kids know about all these things.Paras – But I guess parents still don’t want to take any chances. Aman – Sometimes I think parents are fools. They are not allowing their children to live their life. I mean, they are not allowing their children to live a happy life.Paras – Well, that’s true.Aman – You know, Paras, actually, I don’t want to make a girlfriend. Paras – Firstly, you were talking about girlfriend and now you are saying that you don’t want girlfriend. Aman – I talked about girlfriend because I wanted to talk about soul late. In our age, normally, we don’t talk about wife and marriages, that’s why I didn’t use the word “Wife.” Actually, I want to use this word “Wife.” I don’t want a girlfriend. I want a wife. Yeah, it’s the true expression of my feelings. Now, I am using the right words. Paras giggled, “Aww! You want a wife. Hehe.”Aman – Are you making fun of me? Paras – No, no. I am just trying to make you smile. That’s it. Aman – Hmm... I am very serious about what I said. Paras – Yeah, I know that. I am your best friend. I know about you very well. Aman – Thanks for understanding me. It‘s only you who can understand me. If I talked about this to anyone except you in our class, he would have made fun of me. You are very understanding. Paras – In fact, we both understand each other very well. We know each and everything about each other. What do we want in life? What are our thoughts on any area of life? What do we feel about anything? And somewhere, we are also the same in what we feel about girls. Both of us are not looking for a girl just for having physical pleasures. We are looking for our soulmates. Aman – Yeah, true. All the other boys in our class look towards girls with their dirty eyes. Their focus always lies on the physical organs of a girl. But we always look for a pure soul. (If you liked this part then please don't forget to comment.)
