After about three minutes, I saw her. She was coming with her three damn beautiful friends, obviously who were girls. She was nothing before her friends in beauty. For a second, a thought occurred in my mind, âWhere were these girls when I used to send messages on shadikamaal.com? Not even single girl like them ever replied to me!âI greeted all of them with Namaste but they greeted me with good afternoon. They were all very beautiful, stylish and with very fluent English except Samaira. She had become dwarf before her beautiful towering friends. I thought, âSamaira is a stupid girl. She has brought beautiful girls with her when she is going to date with a boy!âShe asked me, âWhere should we sit?âA thought popped up within my mind, âOh! Now, they are four. Now, whatever I was going to buy, now I have to buy four times than that! That means, today they are going to rob my pocket and I know girls never pay the bill!âI said politely, âYeah, we will sit in within the bus stand as we decided.âHer friends made their faces that I noticed them at once. I said to them, âActually, we are already late. So it will be better for us if we go in any shop within the bus stand itself. It will save our time. All of you and I have to reach back home in time.âSamaira nodded her head, âOkay.âWe all sat in the first shop that we saw. There was a menu kept on the table. I looked at the menu and thought for a couple of seconds what I should buy for them. I donât want to waste much money now as nothing was final between me and Samaira. One of her friends said, âI am feeling very hungry. I havenât eaten anything since morning.â Her second friend said, âI am also feeling very hungry.âI asked them politely, âMay I order lunch for you?âHer first friend said, âYes, it will be okay.âI looked at the rate of lunch. One lunch was of three hundred rupees! I thought, âOh, gosh! Fifteen hundred rupees are gone! And itâs also not going to put a good impression on them!âAs I had no other choice, I ordered five plates of lunches for all of us. Her friends were talking to each other. Neither Samaira was saying anything to me nor I said anything to her for about five minutes. Breaking the ice, I said to her, âSo, itâs how I look.âShe said in a normal tone as if she was not happy with my hospitality, perhaps, âYou look good.â I said, âYou also look good.âSamaira â Thanks. The servant placed before us our lunch plates. There were aloo k prantha (kind of sqare chapati filled with potatoes) and with a gram dish along with butter. Then one another servant came and he placed salad before us. We all spent about thirty minutes having our lunch. I looked at my mobile and checked the time. It was 2:15 p.m. It was very late for me now and we didnât even start talking to each other. I did a formality asking them, âWould you like to have some dessert?â But that formality became a burden for me. They all said, âYes, ice-creams will work.â I said, âOkay.âA servant came and he placed ice-creams before us. Samaira realized that itâs the time that she and I talk to each other but her friends were not giving them time. She cued to her friends. They understood in no time. One of them said to others, âHey, letâs have ice-creams by walking in the bus stand.â They all stood up and went outside the shop leaving behind both of us.Grabbing the opportunity I said to her, âSamaira, we have already discussed everything with each other what is needed to be discussed for marriage. The only one thing was left, that is to see each other in real. Now, we have seen each other. My answer is yes for you.âSamaira â Okay. Aman â And whatâs your answer? Samaira â I will let you know later on. Aman â Okay. And Samaira, now I have to go as we are already late. Samaira â But you can stay for some more time. Aman â The thing is that, I thought that you would come here at sharp 11 a.m. and I thought we would easily get two hours to talk to each other. But you were one and half an hour late. And then we started having lunch. I canât adjust more. And I have a lot of pending work to do today. Tomorrow, I have to show all my records to my officers. I hope you will understand me. Samaira â But it will be very nice of you if you can stay here for some more time. Aman â I want to stay, Samaira but I canât. My probationary period is going on in my job. If I do any silly mistake, then they can also throw me out of my job. Samaira â Okay. Then you may go. Aman â But whatâs your answer? Samaira â I will tell you on phone. Aman â Okay. Nice meeting with you. Bye bye. Take care. Samaira â You take care too. I bade goodbye to her friends also who were strolling out of the shop and then boarded a bus and went back to my city, Bathinda. The Next DayAt about six p.m., I called her. She picked up my phone. I said, âHi Samaira, how are you?âSamaira â I am good. How about you?I smiled and said, âI am also good. Hmm...âSilence prevailed for about a minute. Then I asked her, âSo whatâs your answer?âSamaira â Which answer? Aman â I have told you my answer. My answer is yes for you. And whatâs yours? I mean for marriage.Samaira â My answer is no. I was shocked, âWhat! But why?âShe said in a bit rude tone, âBecause I canât marry a person who is not caring.â(It will be so nice of you, if you leave at least a single word comment ðºâï¸ð¹ðºâï¸)
