I was at work scrolling on Instagram waiting for my next client to come in. Ever since, I moved in with Ghost everything been going good. I just ain't like the fact when I offered to pay a bill he declined . Like nigga I can hold my own.

"Nova" pop yelled.
"What" I said mugging him.
"Your client here, some lil boy must got you occupied " Pop said.
I waved him off and moved out the chair. I instructed for him to come sit down so, I can start cutting him up.
"I heard you and ghost got something going on " Duke said.
"Who you heard that from" I asked scrunching up my face.
"Folks" he said.
"We'll tell yo folks to mind theirs" I said.
"You getting offended like the shit true"
"Nah I'm getting offended cause people in my business and should be worried bout they rent" I snapped.
"Y'all cut all that shit out , whatever the next person doing is they business" Pop butted in and said.
"I'm just saying" Duke said going to the back.
I ignored him and continued cutting up my client.
2 hours later
"Wassup my kids" trey said walking in the shop.
"Nigga who is your child" I asked scrunching up my face.
"You, since I'm feeding yo fat ass" he said sitting a bag in front of me.
"Thank you" I said smiling hard.
"Yeah whatever" he said. He went around and passed everybody they food.
"Wait y'all motherfuckers ain't think about me" Pop said seeing everybody got a plate but him.
"You ain't put a order in" Trey said pulling up a chair next to me.
"Ok remember that now don't bring yo stupid ass back to my shop " pop said going to his office.
Everybody busted out laughing.
"Y'all heard about ole boy who got shot in the Motel 8" duke said.
"Yeah , man he was my cousin even though he was a crackhead they ain't have to take em from me" Tre said.
I looked over at him and didn't say anything.
Being because I knew Ghost killed him
"Justice for all crackheads" Duke yelled out.
Everybody just looked at the man as if he was stupid.
"My bad , let me just eat my food " he said going back to eating.
Everybody talked and started back working on their clients. My clientele was growing now and bank was coming in.
6:10 p.m
It was time for me to clock out. I grabbed my things and said bye to pop. I left the shop hearing "byes" and "see you laters". When I walked out the shop I seen the last person I wanted to see today.
"What you doing here" I asked.
"Get yo ass in the car" he said.
I got in the car and slammed the door.
"Don't slam my shit" he huffed.
"My bad, what do you want Anthony" I said.
"Why you been ducking me" he asked.
Maybe because you got a bitch the fuck
I just shrugged my shoulders
"Mm so you don't know aight, why the fuck I'm hearing you staying with ghost" he semi-yelled.
"Cause I am" I said lowly.
"Why"
"Because he was there"
"What you trynna say I'm not there" he asked scrunching up his face.
"No, but he was there at the time" I responded.
"Nova you know you could've came with me and Lani"
"No I couldn't I didn't want to disrespect your girlfriend" I said.
He didn't say nothing. The car grew with a awkward silence.
"Why you gotta bring that up" he said.
"What bring up the fact you got a whole girlfriend" I asked looking at him crazy.
"It's not even like that" he said.
I scoffed.
Here he go
"I'm not bout to start with you today Anthony" I said getting out the car.
He got out the car too and walked over to my side. He pulled me into a hug and I just broke down. I was holding all my emotions in.
"He kicked me out Ant" I cried in his chest.
"Man don't even stress bout dat" he said.
"I got you , you already know" he reassured me.
"Come on get back in the car" he said.
I got in the car and he pulled off.
"So I'm taking you to ghost house" he asked.
I shook my head yeah.
I looked over at him and I knew he was mad. He was clenching the steering wheel and biting his lip. I just payed him no mind.
He'll be aight. I wasn't the one who fucked up.
