When Tang Jinyu saw that Jian Qi was daydreaming, he frowned. “Are you done coming up with an excuse?”

Jian Qi shifted her gaze back to Tang Jinyu. Although she could still hear the thunder, it paled in comparison to Tang Jinyu’s chilly voice.

Tang Jinyu took a deep breath before sighing loudly. Indeed, she was an acting queen!

Jian Qi raised her brows. Was he not going ask her any further?

Very quickly, she ran after Tang Jinyu and directly reached for his arm with her hand. “I think it might be because I really am outstanding. Surely, you understand how outstanding people would always attract the attention of others. They must have approached me because I attracted their attention!” Jian Qi sounded very serious and righteous.

“Instructor Tang, why must you be numb to believe in me?” Jian Qi asked.

Jian Qi nodded. “That’s right. Why must you make yourself numb to believe in me? Wasn’t I clearly telling the truth?”

Tang Jinyu took a deep breath. “If you don’t wish to take on the risk of being struck by lightning during your additional training tonight, you’d better answer properly. How did you find out that the Eagle Organization is a mercenary organization?”

As Tang Jinyu spoke, a flash of lightning appeared in the sky as it illuminated Tang Jinyu’s handsome face. It felt as if a celestial being was displaying its might!

Jian Qi could not help but think that, it Tang Jinyu was truly able to control lightning, he would strike her on her forehead with a thunderbolt!

When Jian Qi saw how Tang Jinyu was clearly showing her a look of threat, she smiled. “I didn’t know the Eagle Organization was a mercenary organization. I was just really good at controlling my facial expressions. I’m a professional at this!”

As Tang Jinyu stared at her, he was naturally aware that everything she said was a lie.

There was no way he could force her to speak the truth!

After a moment, Tang Jinyu looked away and began walking hastily toward the base.

Jian Qi followed him. “Instructor Tang, don’t you believe me?”

“What do you think?”

“I think you have misunderstood me.” Jian Qi seemed confused. “Is it because I am too outstanding? Is that why you feel burdened?”

“Jian Qi, I think you have misunderstood yourself!” Tang Jinyu warned coldly. “From now on, do not speak. Think about the questions I posed earlier. I need a satisfactory answer!”

“What’s the standard for a satisfactory answer?” Jian Qi smiled playfully.

“The truth!”

“But I was telling the truth. Apart from me being too outstanding, which explains why they sent me the invitation, I can’t think of any other reason!” Jian Qi explained. “I was telling the truth in all the answers I gave in response to your questions. What else can I do if you won’t believe me?”

Tang Jinyu remained silent for two seconds. “In that case, give me a reason I can believe in!”
