“Jian Qi left with Boss,” Zhao Yu answered immediately. There was a slight tremble in his voice.

‘This lady is truly violent. I can’t afford to get on her bad side!’

After glancing at the group of people, Leng Yu ignored Lightning, who was still rubbing his waist mournfully, and turned around to leave the canteen.

Only then did the group of people around Lightning extend their hands to help him get up.

“Something like this could happen to you too!” Crocodile teased with a smirk on his face.

Lightning chuckled. “I was just going easy on her.”

Everyone chuckled. Who would believe him?

When Jian Qi saw that Tang Jinyu was driving toward the city, she felt surprised. “Where are we going?”

“Home,” Tang Jinyu said calmly.

Jian Qi was stunned for a moment. “Instructor Tang, are you bringing me home to meet your parents?” She chuckled devilishly.

“I didn’t expect things to develop this quickly. I feel shy now.” Jian Qi covered her face as she pretended to feel embarrassed.

After Tang Jinyu glanced at her, he shook his head speechlessly.

A few hours later, the car stopped in front of a shopping mall.

Jian Qi raised her brows slightly. “Aren’t we going home? Why did we come to the mall?”

Tang Jinyu smiled half-heartedly. “Naturally, one must prepare gifts when meeting the parents of her significant other. Do you have money?”

Jian Qi reached into her pockets before pulling them out to show that they were empty.

Tang Jinyu felt an urge to laugh when he saw how cooperative she was.

In the end, he remained silent and began walking into the shopping mall.

At first, people would stare at the very good-looking couple. However, after noticing Jian Qi’s mannerism, people began paying less attention to them.

When they arrived at a jewelry store, there was only a pair of customers in the store. Meanwhile, there were more than ten shopping assistants.

It appeared rather deserted.

After Jian Qi followed Tang Jinyu inside, she casually glanced at the jewelry on display.

“I’m looking at rings.” Jian Qi smiled. “Have a look too. Which one do you like? I’ll buy one for you when I propose to you.”

The shopping assistant nearby tried not to laugh. ‘This lady is really funny.’
