Chapter 7: Ch. 6 - ORPHANED

Chapter Six

💰 Orphans 💰

"What the hell is happening to this kid?" Stiles yelled as he, Derek and Avalon tried to hold a convulsing Brett. "He's been poisoned by a rare wolfsbane. I need to make an incision, and you need to hold him as still as possible." Deaton said.

"Hey Derek? How about a little Werewolf strength?" Stiles asked making Derek shoot him a look, "Yeah, I'm not the only one here with Werewolf strength." He said.

"If you can't hold him still, the incision might kill him." Deaton said and Brett's eyes snapped open and he pushed everyone away before climbing off the table. But before he could go anywhere Peter came out of nowhere and punched Brett, sending him tumbling to the floor unconscious. "I guess I still have a little Werewolf strength myself."

"Yeah... Maybe more than a little..." Derek said as Avalon went to Brett, "Hey I don't think he's breathing." She said and Deaton crouched down and started to cut a small line down Brett's chest making him let out a few gasps and a puff of yellow smoke came out of the cut. "Is he okay?" Stiles asked and Deaton nodded, "I think he'll be fine, but probably out for a little while." He said.

"Guys, can you hear that? I think he's saying something." Stiles said and Avalon bent down to hear what he was saying, "The sun... the moon... the truth... The sun... the moon... the truth..."

"Three things cannot long be hidden: the sun, the moon, and the truth. That's Buddhist, right?" Avalon asked looking up at Deaton who nodded. "Satomi." Peter said making them all look over at him.

Coach took a swig of dayquil before coughing and looking over at Mason, Scott and Avalon who stood in the doorway. "Sorry, guys. Liam skipped my class. Maybe he's sick... like me..." Coach said and Mason looked over at Scott and Avalon.

"Liam didn't look sick on our run." He said and Avalon nodded, "He was fine before he left." She said as Scott looked at his phone. "He's not getting back to any of my texts." Scott said and Mason sighed. "Mine, either." Mason said as the bell rang and Avalon sighed, "Hey, don't worry- We'll find him. But, text me if you see him." Avalon said and Mason nodded. "All right." He said before walking away and Avalon and Scott looked at each and Avalon was about to say something but Scott's phone started ringing.

"Liam?" Scott asked as he answered his phone, "Sounds like you already know the answer to that, Scott." Garrett said making Scott look at Avalon who raised his eyebrows and he mouth Garrett's name. "Where is he?" Scott asked, "Come on- like I'm actually going to tell you that." Garrett said as they walked down the hall away from people.

"I'll give you the money." Scott said, "Yeah, you will. But, that's not going to get you Liam back. You're going to have to put in a little more effort than that." Garrett said and Avalon sighed impatiently before she took Scott's phone. "Alright, what the hell do you want, asshole?" She asked in a demanding tone, "I want the money- and Violet. Or, you never see Liam again." Garrett said making Avalon scoff.

"Oh, you can suck my fake dick with your wanna be mob boss bullshit. Where the fuck is brother?" Avalon asked making Scott give her a look and she just waved him off. "Just you and Scott meet me by the busses. Just the two of you." Garret said before hanging up, Avalon handed Scott his phone and walking out the doors.

Avalon walked past busses before finding Garrett standing in between two of them making her drop her bag and walk over to him. She immediately punched him in the face making him stumble back slightly.

She waisted no time grabbing him by his collar, roughly slamming him against the bus as Scott ran over.

"I wouldnt do that if I were you. Unless you want your to die." Garrett said and Avalon chuckled, "You really want to fuck with me right now Garrett? If my little brother dies then so will you. And that's a promise." She said. "Fine, go ahead. Kill me, I'm just the only person who knows where Liam is." Garrett said as Scott walked up, "Avalon." Scott said and Avalon glared at Garrett for a moment before dropping him. She stepped back and roghly grabbed her bag from Scott as Garrett fixed his shirt.

"Okay, what do you want? You want us to go to Stilinski? I can do that. Or, we can talk to my father- he's an FBI agent." Scott asked and Garrett chuckled slightly, "You think I want you talking to anyone with a badge? I'm not getting help from a Werewolf and a bitch with anger issues because I want them to talk to someone." Garrett said and Avalon rolled her eyes.

"Then what are we supposed to do?" She asked and Garrett glanced around slightly, "They're transferring Violet to a federal facility. You're not gonna let that happen." He said and Scott furrowed his brows. "How?" He asked, "They're going to put her in a car. We're going to follow it. We get ahead of it, you stop it." Garrett said making Avalon cock an eyebrow.

"You want us to attack a car? That's your plan? Wow, you are fucking boring." She said and Garrett rolled his eyes before looking at Scott, "You're an Alpha- if you can't stop one little car, then one little Beta is going to die." He said before holding up his lacrosse stick, pressing a bottom to make a blade come out.

"I stabbed your boy with a blade dipped in wolfsbane. Once it gets to the heart... Bad things happen." Garrett said making Avalon step forward, "If my brother dies, be prepared to make your deathbed." Avalon said before walking away making Scott follow her.

"Hey, you can't keep threatening him. We need to make sure he tells us where Liam is." He said making Avalon stop and look at him incredulously, "I can't threaten the guy who kidnapped my brother? Should I threaten you instead? Considering he wouldnt be in this place if you hadn't bit him." She said and he sighed.

"You can hate me all you want for that but I was trying to save his life." He said and she scoffed, "Forcing him into the supernatural world isn't saving his life, all it did was put him in more danger. Look around, there's a hit list for supernatural creatures. My little brother is missing and possibly dying because of it. You didn't save his life, you made it harder and more dangerous." She said before walking over to her car.

Sitting in Avalon's car with her in the driver seat, Scott in the passenger and Garrett in the back, Scott opened a case that had a gun in it. "This is not going to work." Scott said and Garrett looked at him, "All you have to do is stop the car. I'll take care of the rest." He said. They glanced out the window when they heard a car drive by Avalon sighed and pulling out onto the road, following the car from a distance.

"There's a stop sign half a mile ahead." Garrett said and Scott furrowed his brows slightly, "So, I take out the tires with my claws?" Scott asked and Garrett rolled his eyes. "Teeth, claws, magic heat vision- Just stop them. You ready?" Garrett asked as Avalon drove up to the car.

She furrowed her brows slightly as the closer the got the more they noticed the car was on its side and there was someone down in the road. "Stop! Stop the car!" Scott said and Avalon instantly slammed down on the breaks before she and Scott quickly ran out.

"Dad! Dad!" Scott yelled as they ran over to Stilinski, who was pulling McCall out the car. "Guys..." Stilinski said weakly as Garrett got out the car, pulling the met off his lacrosse stick to reveal another blade as he walked over. "She's not in the car! Violet's gone!" Scott called out as Garrett spun the stick around.

"Listen to me... They're still here... They're still here..." Stilinski said making Avalon furrowed her brows, "Whose here?" She asked before they heard a growling sound making them look over to see a Berserker staring at Garrett. "What the hell is that thing?" Avalon asked as she looked at the Berserker with wide eyes, "Berserker." Scott said.

"You want me? Come on! Come and get me! Come and get me." Garrett said before spinning around his lacrosse stick dramatically as he walked towards the berserker. "Yeah, that's right! You're not so big! You're not so big!" Garrett yelled before all of the sudden another berserker came up behind him, stabbing a sharp bone through his back. Scott ran forward making Avalon's eyes widen before the berserker slammed his hand down on him making Scott fall to the ground.

The berserkers looked towards Avalon before turning around and walking away.

Scott slowly started to wake up before seeing Deaton standing over him. "Hey there. I was actually hoping you'd be out for a few more minutes..." Deaton said making Scott glanced around to see Avalon holding his shoulder down while Argent gripped onto a was looked like a bone carved into a knife that was lodged into Scott's side.

"Scott? This is going to hurt." Argent said before holding his hand down on Scott's side before ripping out the knife making Scott scream out in pain. Scott fell off the table making Deaton and Argent quickly catch him and help him stand up.

"You all right?" Argent asked and Scott nodded, still groaning in pain, "Where's my dad? And the Sheriff?" He asked. "They're at the hospital. They're both doing fine." Deaton said as be pressed a cloth over Scott's wound, "Hold this." He said and Scott held onto to the cloth.

"It was Kate. It was her and the Berserkers." Scott said and Avalon nodded, "I already told them but they moved fast, and they didn't leave much for tracks." She said. "We have to find her. She's got Violet- I think Violet knows where Liam is." Scott said and Deaton stepped forward holding the bone knife.

"Then, as much as this hurt, it could probably also help... Can you get a scent?" He asked and Scott grabbing it.

Scott ran up to a building and a second later Argent pulled up with Avalon not far behind in ber car. Argent looked up at the building before sighing making Scott and Avalon look at him, "You've been here before?" Scott asked and Argent nodded. "I worked here. We used to own the building- it was part of our business." He said and  signed softly.

"I've fought these things before.. They're strong, really strong." Scott said and Argent nodded, "That's why I brought this." He said before opening the back car door and pulling out a M24 assault rifle before looking at Avalon. "You know how to shoot a gun?" He asked and she shook her head, "No, but I know something else." She said before walking over to her car.

She pulled out a can of spray paint and a lighter, she held the lighter out in front of the can before spraying the paint making a makeshift blow torch. "It's no assault rifle but it's something." She said and they nodded before they walked into the building.

The three of them slowly walked through the building until they heard Kate's voice echo throughout the building. "You shouldn't have come." She said making them glance around, "Kate. I'm here for Violet. I need to talk to her." Scott called out.

"I knew you'd find me." Kate said before the noticed her shadow on a sheet of plastic making Argent raise his gun. "But... I was hoping we could do this later. I just needed a little more time." She said as two berserker shadows came up behind her, "For what?" Argent asked.

"To learn control." Kate said as they could hear her clawed hand lightly drag across some plastic before she stepped out. "Lower the gun... We walk away... and you don't have to get hurt." Kate said and Avalon raised her eyebrows slightly, "Where's Violet?" She asked but Kate didn't answer her.

"Put the gun down, Chris." She said as the berserkers started to move, "Where is she?" Scott asked as Argent placed his finger over the trigger. The berserkers stepped out before running at them makin Argent start shooting at them. "No, no, stop! No!" Scott yelled but Argent kept shooting until Kate ran up and knocked the gun out of his hand before punching him making him stumble back into a table.

Scott blocked the swing from one of the berserkers while Argent rolled off a table right before a berserker smashed through it. Kate gasped in pain, when she was hit with a sudden burst of flames making her turn to Avalon who smiled. "Names Avalon, nice to meet you." Avalon said before before spraying the paint again making Kate groan and step forward back, trying to cover her face.

This caught the attention of one of the berserkers making it walk towards Avalon. It swung its arm making her forget about Kate as she ducked. Avalon looked back at where Kate was it find her no where in sight making her scoff slightly.

One berserker tossed Scott through a few thin walls while the other berserker walked towards Argent. The berserker went to swing at Argent but he ducked making the berserker's fist go through a pillar. Avalon whistled making the berserker turn his attention to her.

The berserker swung its arm at Avalon but she ducked and spun around it. It turned around and she instantly blasted it with flames making it back up slightly. A second later the spray paint ran out making her eyes widen slightly, "Ah fuck." She mumbled. The berserkers waisted no time before hitting her across the face making her fall to the ground before going over to Argent.

The berserker grabbed the back of his shirt, arm with a sharp bone, ready to strike down. "No!" Kate yelled before letting out a loud roar making the berserker let Argent go. The other berserker walked over before both of them following Kate as Avalon got up ran over to Argent.

"Scott..." Argent said weakly as Scott ran over and he and Avalon helped Argent up, "I'm sorry." Argent said and Scott glanced down. "I'm not going to find him..." He said and Avalon shook her head, "Don't say bullshit like that. There's still time." She said.

Seconds after she said that a very distant yell echoed. "There's still time." Avalon said before she and Scott quickly ran out the building. They ran into the woods, Avalon following Scott until they ran up to a well.

"Why is it always." Avalon muttered as Scott ran up and grabbed Liam's arm right before Liam fell down to the bottom. Avalon ran over and quickly grabbed Liam's other arm, helping Scott pull him up. They helped him sit on the stone wall of the well as he breath heavily before looking up at them.

"You're okay, Liam. You're okay." Scott said before pulling Liam into a hug for a moment until they pulled away. Liam looked over at his sister and she smiled at him before wrapping her arms around him.

In the examination room of the animal clinic, Deaton dragged a scalpel down Liam's chest making a puff of yellow wolfsbane come out of Liam's cheat. Avalon pressed her hand on Liam's forehead, feeling him already start to cool down making her look at everyone and nod.

"I don't want to keep watching people die." Scott said making them look at him, "I'm not sure you have much choice about that..." Argent said and Scott shrugged slightly. "Maybe I do." He said and Deaton raised his eyebrows, "That's a lot of burden to carry, Scott." He said.

"I don't care. No one else dies. Everyone on that list- everyone on that Deadpool- it doesn't matter if they're wendigos, or werewolves, or whatever. I'm gonna save everyone."
