Hello all. I'm sorry for not updating or being on for awhile. I got a new phone a couple months back and locked out of my account while figuring out my password (I'm terrible at remembering lol) and trying to get back into my old email ect but here I am! I also debated on coming back to write. I want to but I'm losing the story line and the ideas I had for it. Going to try and get back at it though so thanks for being patient with me.
Also just to be clear based on some messages I saw I had, I do not own any copy rights to the idea of a ddlg school. Many have wrote along these lines before, I just took my own idea and characters and put the words to life. My characters, words and plot are my own and are my copyright however.
Copywriting is not cool. Many authors depend on their writing and do not want their ideas taken or have someone else take the credit. I get inspiration
from other great stories that make me want to write my own but I always go for my own plot. If I have in any similarities it is not my intention to do so. However if you wish to write with characters like mine in your own "I wish it happened this way" thing I will not be mad. Just please give proper credit and do not take credit for all the ideas.
Other question I received was any tips on how to be a better writer?
To me I imagine what scenario I want in my head. I work it out in my head and then once I've worked it out I go to write. My inspiration comes from things I wish I could read/experience. Write down what you wish you could see or read. Also make sure to try to use proper spelling, punctuation. Give good details and try to keep details consistent along the story. Try not to repeat the same phrases over and over especially with dialogue. For example: he said "xyz" she said, "abc" over and over. Spice it up with "lmno," he asked. I sat quietly and then responded with "pqrs."
Now yes this doesn't always happen. Can't say how many times I've read over my story in the beginning and realized the inconsistent details I've put in. I've tried to fix them but it can be hard. Oh and always reread what you've wrote to make sure it sounds right. Sometimes sleeping on it can help before you publish.
I am in no way a professional writer or perfect. I am terrible at finishing plots and bringing it all to an end but with those questions I was asked I just wanted to share my secrets. I encourage everyone to write and express theirselves.
Listening to readers give ideas and suggestions also helps. I take tips from people who read my story and leave comments for me. Sometimes I try to work suggestions out as a chapter, but sometimes it doesn't work. It's all about finding the flow for you and your book. Unfortunately I've lost the flow for my book right now so I'm sorry to not give another update yet. I will try to get into the flow again though. I want to finish this story for everyone and keep writing.
I appreciate all your support guys thank you for making this book possible! Stay well!
Love,
