Chapter 10: •7•Diana•

The Mafia Queen┃✓Words: 5653

Diana ran towards the sound of the scream. If there was one thing Diana refused to accept, it was walking away when a woman or girl needed help.

The girl who screamed was lying on the ground. A man held her strongly by the wrist and pulled her up. She continued to yell.

"Shut up!" He yelled at her.

She muffled her cries with her free hand. Diana walked forward.

"Let her go."

At the corner of her eye, she could see Sid and em look at her wide-eyed.

The man chuckled. "Look what we have here." Some of the other men smirked.

"I said let.her. go." Diana repeated stressing each word.

"Of course my queen." the man said, faking a curtsey. He let the girl go.

She ran, rubbing her wrists.

"Thanks." Diana replied and turned around to walk away.

"Oh not so quickly, my queen." The man said.

Diana could feel him walk up to her.

He put his hand on her shoulder.

She didn't think twice.

She grabbed ahold of his hand and twisted it. She turned him around with his hand at his back. He yelled in pain. She kicked him at the back of his knee and he fell down. She kept his hands locked nicely behind him. With her free hand, she took his pistol and pointed at his head.

None of the other men moved. But that wasn't Diana's problem.

"Will you lay your hand on another woman?" She asked him.

He didn't answer. Diana twisted his hand more and he yelled out in pain.

"Answer me!"

"No, I won't!" He yelled out.

Diana bent down near him and whispered into his ear.

"Better not. Or the next time you meet me, I'll chop those hands off."

She let him go, still holding onto the pistol. But she had only one pistol and they had at least 5 men on their side. She didn't stand a chance. That's when she felt Sid pull her into the crowd.

"Get her!" She heard the man yell.

Em got ahold of her and dragged her out of the club.

"Go go go." Sid said, pushing them into the car.

The minute we were in, he started driving. The car was silent for one second.

And then they all erupted.

"HOW CAN YOU PUT YOURSELF IN DANGER LIKE THAT."

"COULD'VE KILLED YOURSELF. "

"BOSS WOULD'VE KILLED US."

The last one was Sid. Obviously.

"Guys! Calm the eff down. I'm fine!" Diana yelled over their voices. "I wasn't going to stand there and do nothing while a woman got hurt."

Em turned around from the passenger seat to look at Diana.

"I am so pissed and so proud of you right now." She said.

Diana smiled.

"Well to be fair, you did fight well. But not well enough. Or smart enough." Sid said.

"I had a gun to his head." Diana said.

"Yes, but there were people around. They could have gotten hurt."

"Like I said. I wasn't going to stand there and do nothing."

After that the car became silent.

Once they reached back to the headquarters, Diana stayed in her room for the entire day. She found a notepad in one of Em's drawers.

Diana began to draw her mom. Or at least whatever she could remember from the nightmare. She was just halfway done when someone knocked on the door. And then walked in.

The first thing Diana noticed was his eyes. He had the most beautiful blue eyes.

"Hey," he said looking around. "Is Em around?"

"No..." Diana replied. "Who are you?"

"Me? You don't know who I am? I'm the boss." He said.

"Sure you are," Em said walking in. "Diana meet my brother, Alexander."

"Brother?" Diana asked. "But his eyes..."

"Adopted." She replied.

Oh...

Diana continued to look at Em but she could feel Alexander's eyes wander over her.

"That's a pretty woman." He said looking at her drawing.

Diana quickly hid it.

"Where's Jake?" Diana asked Em.

She needed to leave the room. Diana hated this. She was a confident woman. But she couldn't be that confident in front of him.

Get your shit together, Diana scolded herself.

"With Sid." Em replied.

She got out of bed, only to realise that she was wearing really short shorts. Diana ran into the closet. She could see Alexander smirking in her head.

Get your shit together, she scolded herself again.

You're Diana Shade. No man can make you feel this helpless. She could feel her confidence coming back to her.

That's better.

She walked out after changing into new ripped jeans that Em had bought for her. It showed more skin than she would have liked but it was either that or a skirt, so she stuck to the jeans.

She walked out of the closet. "I'm going to go meet Jake." She announced to no one in particular.

"You can't." Em said.

"What?" Diana turned to her.

"Sorry girl. Sid is training him and you know Sid doesn't like anyone else around when he trains someone." She replied.

She was dressed beautifully.

"Where are you going?" Diana asked her.

"I've got some work to do." She said avoiding Diana's eyes. "Alexander will hang out with you for today."

What?!

Diana looked at him. He wasn't very muscular. But he had a beautifully sculpted face. Oh and broad shoulders.

Diana. Get. Your. Shit. Together.

"He will be taking you to go see the boss today by the way." Em was continuing. "Please don't piss the boss off. He'll explain everything."

She smoothened her dress. "I have to go. Don't kill yourself by the time I come back."

Saying that she left, leaving me alone with Alexander.

"So, princess, we're going to meet the boss in two hours. Want to do anything?" He asked, making himself comfortable in my bed.

"Yes. I want to train." Diana said looking at him.

"Alright." He said getting up. "Go get ready."

Diana walked back to the closet. She stopped near the entrance.

"Oh and one more thing."

Alexander looked up.

"Don't call me princess. I'm a mother fucking Queen."

YAS. SHE DA QUEEN.
