There Cannot be Two Tigers on One Mountain

Looking at each other, seeing the smile on Bai Xiaochun’s face, Chu Tian couldn’t help but to also smile.

Seeing this, Bai Xiaochun opened the door with a smile on her face, wearing a knee-length silk pyjama, holding a plate of fruit, and walked in with her bare feet.

“Hey, Did I interrupt your writing?”

“Of course not.” Chu Tian smiled and said, “I was actually waiting for you to come, are you not going to sleep?”

“ ”- I was just getting ready to sleep.” Bai Xiaochun said as she put down the plate of fruits, “I saw the light was still on in your room, so I prepared some fruit for you, since you stare at the computer for long periods of time, you have to eat more fruit, they will defend against radiation.”

Chu Tian smiled and patted his lap

Bai Xiaochun smiled, shaking her head and said, “No, I won’t sit, you won’t be able to take it.”

“Humph.” Chu Tian scoffed and said, “Where’s my deskmate, is she asleep?

“Not yet,” said Bai Xiaochun, “she’s lying on the bed, how long are you going to keep writing?”

“Mm… just a while longer.” Chu Tian thought for a bit and said, “I’m not really tired right now.”

“Go to sleep soon,” said Bai Xiaochun, “I’ll make you breakfast tomorrow morning.”

“Mm, you should also go to sleep soon, don’t stay up.”

“Yeah, then I’m gonna go, keep writing.”

“Wait.” Chu Tian called out, “How can you leave like this, aren’t you forgetting something?”

Bai Xiaochun looked at Chu Tian with an unreadable expression, “No, what did I forget?”

Chu Tian pointed at his face and said, “quickly, otherwise, I’m going to  your room.”

Bai Xiaochun chuckled and said, “You’re so indecent.”

Still talking, Bai Xiaochun moved in, landed a kiss on Chu Tian’s cheek and said, “Okay, keep writing, I’m going to sleep now, don’t stay up too late.”

“Yeah, you should also sleep soon, love you.”

“Love you too, goodnight.”

Watching Bai Xiaochun leave his bedroom, Chu Tian smiled and looked towards the computer, pressing a few keys, reloaded the application, and continued typing away on the keyboard.

Finally, when it was nearly 1am, Chu Tian stopped typing and stretched.

He finally finished fixing everything!

After sending all 13 of the bugs he had fixed to Wang Xiaofeng, Chu Tian didn’t send any more messages, but instead turned off the computer and went to the bathroom.

It was already late, he should sleep soon.

The next morning, when Chu Tian woke up, Bai Xiaochun and Yang Rong were already awake, and breakfast was ready, too.

Without delay, after eating breakfast, the three went to school.

Although they didn’t need to do self studying at night anymore, they still had to go to class.

“Hey, deskmate, I have something to ask you, do you know someone called Nana or something who is one of Xiaochun’s classmates?”

After returning to nursing class 3, Chu Tian looked at Yang Rong and asked the question that he had wanted to ask since the day before yesterday.

“Sun Nana?” asked Yang Rong.

“I don’t know her full name,” Chu Tian shaked his head and said, “Xiaochun calls her Nana.”

“Then it’s probably Sun Nana,” said Yang Rong, “I know her, she’s in the dorm next to us and is in the same class as Xiaochun, nursing class 6, why?”

“Nothing.” Chu Tian said, “I just wanted to know, what kind of person is she?”

What kind of person?

Yang Rong thought a bit and said, “Did she do something to you?”

“She didn’t do anything to me, but I feel like she’s targeting Xiaochun.”

“Oh, that’s normal.” Yang Rong smiled and said, “This Sun Nana, how do I say this, your Xiaochun didn’t want to compete with her at all, but she always wants to compete with your Xiaochun.”

“Oh?” Chu Tian frowned and asked, “What does that mean?”

“Mm… I guess it’s envy.” Yang Rong said in a low voice, “Last time in the school’s forum, someone started some first-year beauty contest, Xiaochun didn’t even know about it, but this Sun Nana did, and she kept getting people to vote for her behind Xiaochun’s back.”

“But even by cheating like this, she only got third place.”

Chu Tian said in disbelief, “Someone like her got third place!?”

“Yeah,” said Yang Rong, “Sun Nana is actually quite pretty, her figure is also good, but you can’t compare her with your Xiaochun, your Xiaochun is too good, it’s like she’s cheating, with her long legs and good figure and face, anyone who wants to compare with her should think twice.”

“It’d be better if they weren’t in the same class, but they are, it’s like how there can’t be two tigers on one mountain.”

“Although your Xiaochun never wanted to compete with her, she keeps asking for trouble, she’s always trying to prove in one way or another that she’s better than your Xiaochun and more outstanding.”

“So she’s always vying with your Xiaochun, like how her clothes, makeup and stuff have to be better than your Xiaochun’s, but in reality, your Xiaochun couldn’t care less about her.”
