Anger and sadness shine in his ocean blue eyes as he looks at her.
She presses Adonis closer to her, tightening her hold on him. She
couldn't bare to continue looking at Adryan's face, because that look,
that made her feel extremely guilty for keeping his son away from him
for too long.
"Is the baby mine?" He asks after few moments of silence.
"No" she lies.
"Do not lie to me Jade. I can smell both of our scents mixed with the
baby" he speaks, moving closer. His body now pressed against hers but
careful not to crush the sleeping child she held in her arms.
His face moves closer to hers, his lips nearing hers but he tilts his head
to the side last minute so that his lips were aligned with her ear.
"Do you take me for a fool Jade?" He whispers into her ear causing her
to breath come out in uneven patterns as her body shuddered with
tingles.
"Is it a boy or a girl?" He asks her, now he had moved back, so that he
was still close to her but enough so that he could stare at Adonisâ
sleeping frame.
"It's a boy" she looks as Adryan stared back at her, she could see
happiness swimming in his eyes, but his eyes turn hard after a few
moments.
"Why?" His voice hard but there was something else laced within them,
a tinge of sadness seeping through his words.
Sadness hits her as well but it vanishes as soon as it came, because in
the end it was his own actions that drove her away in the first place.
"You know I had to, Do not act like you don't know anything. Don't you
know Adryan? It was because of you. It was your hot and cold attitude
to us being mates that drove me away in the first place.â She says
boldly, staring straight into his pair of hypnotizing ocean eyes.
She could see how her words had managed to anger him, as his
breathing pattern changed visibly, his ocean eyes turning darker as he
stared back at her. He was fighting for control, as his fists tightened.
"What's his name"? He asks her, after he had successfully gained back
his control.
She stares at him, thinking in her head whether she should let him
enjoy getting to know his sons name after what he had done to her.
"Adonis. Adonis Romano." She says after a few second. Her words
shocked him that much she could see from his facial expression that
portrayed shock which he didn't try to hide from her. Shocking.
He looked at her with happiness in his eyes, mixed with shock.
"You gave him my last name." His voice a mere whisper.
"Yes. I did. I'm not selfish enough to it give him your last name." She
answers back his question.
"Thankyou" even though it was a mere whisper, she had managed to
hear his words. It shocked her because he had never heard him say
thankyou to anyone before, for the whole six months she stayed at his
pack.
She just nods her head at him in acknowledgement.
"We need to go back" he speaks after a few moments, his words
capture her attention. Her eyes harden as she glares at him the next
moment.
"No" she says.
"No?" He repeats her words, one of his
dark eyebrows raised in question.
"Yes, a NO, Adryan. I'm not coming with you. The only person that is
going to be leaving this apartment and go back is you. Not me.â She
looks at him, square in his eyes.
A mocking humorless laugh leaves his lips, startling her, causing
goosebumps to arise on her skin. He moves closer to her face, to the
point where both their noses brushed against each other.
"Do you think I would travel so far? Away from my pack only to go back
empty handed? Without you by my side?" He asks her, his heated gaze
staring at her own ones that stare back at him with anger burning
behind them.
"I'm not going back Adryan" she hisses back at him, repeating her
previous words.
It was shocking how Adonis managed to sleep through out, not even
waking up with their raised voices and when Adryan had broken down
her front door with his fists.
"that's not happening Jade, because I'm not going back without you
and my son" Adryan says, stressing the last words to prove a point.
"We can do this the easy way or the hard way Jade" he continues
speaking "either you come back with me, to our pack willingly, or I can
throw you over my shoulder and take you back by force. Your choice.â
He finishes speaking with a wicked glint in his eyes.
"You wouldn't" her teeth grit together as she stares at him angrily. âHe
wouldn't do that would he?" She thinks to herself. But his glinting eyes
held promise, he was enjoying this, she could tell. He knew that he had
cornered her, wanting to get what he wanted, and that was to get her
and their son to his pack.
She also didn't fail to notice how he had said our pack instead of his.
Which made her want to snort, because his pack wasn't hers at all. The
Blood Moon Pack wasn't her pack. It was Evergreen Forest Pack, which
sadly didn't exist anymore so she was most probably a rogue now. A
free wolf even.
Surprisingly her wolf, Kira had been silent so far. Which confused Jade
because normally Kira was a chatty one.
Her shoulders slump in defeat as she weighs her options, and the only
thing she could come up with was going back with him willingly.
"Okay" the words leave her lips, just a mere whisper because she hated
it. She hated giving into his wants. Most of all she hated him getting his
way.
A victorious smile appears on his face, infuriating her further.
"Smart choice" he speaks, looking into her eyes "you have ten minutes
to back your and his essentials.â He says, leaning back and turning away
from her.
"Whatâ, I â" she starts to argue but he cuts her off.
"9 minutes and 40 seconds remaining" he speaks "and don't try to
escape because I'll find you, againâ he speaks the last words with his
head tilted so that his eyes would meet hers. A slight warning in them.
âDammitâ She thought, with anger burning inside her.
"I'l be waiting outsideâ with that words said, he leaves her room.
Jade had to lay a sleeping Adonis onto her bed in order for her to
collect their belongings, Adonis and her clothes were stuffed in a huge
duffel bag within two minutes, and lastly Adonisâ car seat.
The ten minutes Adryan had given her was over within the time she was
done packing their belongings and walking out with Adonisâ in her
hand, just like before. She had dragged and placed the huge duffel bag
near her front door, no not her front door, where front door was
supposed to be.
Now absent since some one couldn't control their caveman tendencies.
She rolls her eyes at that.
When she walked outside her apartment, she was stunned to say the
least. She hadn't expected there to be so many people out here. But
now, as she took in the scene infront of her, she could see roughly
around twenty werewolves surrounding the front of her apartment,
some even walking back and forth from the back of her apartment.
'So he had come preparedâ She thought you herself.
There were three SUV's precent, all of them black in colour, blending
into the night perfectly. The rest of the wolves might have travelled
here in their wolf forms.
Her anger rises when she sees the figure leaning so casually onto the
sides of one of the black SUV's, looking at the wolves that were walking
back and forth.
She starts walking towards him, wanting to give him a piece of her
mind.
