"Also, don't lie to yourself like that. Because I and as well as you know,
no matter how much you deny your feelings and the mate bond now,
there's this tiny part of you deep inside that wishes that he would just
make up for his past mistakes and you guys could be together, I can
see it in your eyes. You wished for that three years agoâ When Jade
starts to protest, Violet shushes her. "But now that hope's a bit
squashed, you still wish it but not as much as before. Of course, you
don't have to run into his arms. I will advise you to make him run
around in circles for a bit, make him yearn for you as well.â Violet
finishes.
Jade stares at Violet for a few moments, âI don't know if you are on my
side or his."
Violet lightly punches on Jade's arm, "I'm obviously on your side duhhâ
Violet says. "Well mostly on your side" Violet side eyes Jade sheepishly
"and a little bit on Adryan's too. Well, you know seeing as how he's my
Alpha, and I've known him for years. But I'm mostly on your side, I
swear" Jade narrows her eyes at Violet, which makes her laugh
nervously. "You know my mind is like this pendulum, I'm swaying more
towards your side, but once in a while it sways a bit towards Adryan's
side too." Violet finishes her explanation for taking Adryanâs side.
"Are you mad at me for taking his side?" Violet questions Jade
"No, I'm not." Jade replies, causing violet to sigh in relief and throws her
hand in the air. "I'm just a bit mad that you managed to psychoanalysis
me without being wrong about a single thing."
"I can be a therapist if I want to, can I?" Violet questions.
"Maybe" Jade answers back.
"Maybe charge like 30 dollars per hour" Violet says dreamily, already
making plans about being a therapist on her mind.
"Maybe not. We don't want people to go broke now, do we?!"
"Ehh, they're lucky that I'm not a therapist.â
"They really are" Jade chuckles, "Wait, why does everyone keeps
mentioning about some posters or flyers, you are like the second
person to mention about in today, and people in the pack were staring
at me like they knew me" Jade questions, this was something she had
noticed and was curious to know.
Violet suddenly freezes on her spot, like a deer caught in headlight,
"Well, you know" Violet drags a hand down her face. "First promise me
that you won't tell Adryan or ask him about this?" Violet holds her
pinky forward for a pinky promise.
"Are you serious?" Jade asks incredulously, Violet clicks her tongue in
response. Jade finally relents and extends her pinky up and hooks her
pinky with Violet's.
"Happy now?"
"Very" Violet replies. "Now that we have got that out of the way, When
you ran away three years ago, let's say that Adryan didn't take it too
well. He kind of went berserk and broke a bunch of stuff around the
pack house. Started snapping at anyone and everyone, I mean people
were afraid to be even be near him. Later on, after like two months,
when he hadn't still found you, he resorted to distributing flyers and
posters with your face on it, so that if anyone saw you somewhere
they'd know how you looked and who exactly to call. Also, he moved
out of the pack house two months after you left." Violet stares at Jade,
looking for a reaction.
"What kind of idiot distributes posters and flyers nowadays?" Jade asks
shocked with Violet's revelations.
"A fool in love like Adryan obviously" Violet mutters discretely under
her breath.
"What did you say?" Jade asks, causing Violet to shake her head
immediately, "Nothing, it was nothing.â
Yet unbeknownst to Violet, Jade heard her words loudly and clearly, and
it sends her mind into overdrive by thinking about her words.
'âAdryan that too in love with her? Impossibleâ She thought to herself.
"You never know," a voice retorts back inside her head, shocking Jade. It
was Kira, her wolf.
âLook who decided to show themselves after agesâ Jade remarks
sarcastically.
Kira just humphs at Jade and retreats back into her mind.
They both fall into a peaceful silence after that.
"But on a serious note, can I ask you something I have been dying to
ask you" Violet suddenly speaks up again.
"Sure" Jade says, wanting to know what Violet was so curious about.
"How did you" Violet struggles to explain her words," How did you
regain your eyesight?"
Jade stares off into nothing in particular, that was something she would
like to know herself, "how did she gain her eyesight out of nowhereâ.
"I, 1 don't know" she reveals truthfully, âthis might sound absurd, but it
all happened after a month of me leaving, I just had this weird dream.
More like a nightmare or vision of my past. I dreamed about my mom,
and I tried following her, I entered into a room where I saw a rogue
wolf attacking her, and apparently it was an illusion because I walked
right through them when I tried intervening, I stood there helplessly
and the next thing I know I see this woman. She tells me that she's
there to help me, and she reveals that she's the moon Goddess. I mean,
that's absurd to even say it out loud without seeming like you're a bit
cuckoo up there.â Jade points towards her head. She turns towards
Violet to see her taking in Jade's words. Processing them.
"That's a lot to take in, especially if you actually experienced it." Violet
says after a while. "Wait, did you just say one month after you left? Are
you sure, like hundred percent sure?â Violet's eyes widen as if she had
to break through. "Holy shit, I have to tell Adryan about this.â
"What?" Jade asks her, confused by her sudden change in behaviour.
Violet's eyes glaze over suddenly, Jade comes to the realization that
someone was mind linking her.
"Well" Violet says while standing up straight from her kneeled position
on the floor from earlier, "Brian needs my help with some beta work
related office papers records, so I better go." Jade nods her head in
understanding
"It was nice talking to you after a long time Jade" Violet says, she leans
forward and hugs, well tries to as seeing how Jade was sitting on the
couch with Adonis on her lap.
"You too, Vi" Jade smiles at Violet, earning one back herself.
Violet starts walking towards the door, she opens the front door and
turns back just before leaving, "Jade" Violet calls out, causing Jade to
look up at her.
"I don't want that bitch to take your place, or anyone else for that
matter. It belongs to you, Jade. I hope you have enough heart to stay.â
Violet says, hopefully making Jade's heart tug with her words "Forever."
with that Violet leaves Jade to her own thoughts.
âMe too, Vi. Me too," She whispers to no one in particular.
