I was just warming up the food when P Force arrived. I opened the door for him and he smiled when he saw me.
"Hey, thank you for the invite."
"No problem, P. I am just glad you could make it. It's a lot of food. Sometimes, I think my mom forgets I live alone."
"Maybe she's reminding you that you don't have to live alone." P Force teased me.
I groaned at him and offered him a drink while I said I would continue warming up the food. P Force agreed to help me and we chatted as we warmed the food up.
"Phuwin...about earlier.. about inviting Pond..I'm sorry. I.. I always just think of both of you as a pair. I really should also realize that you both lead your own lives and you are allowed to see other people too. I'm sorry if I unintentionally made it look like you are with him."
I looked at P Force and just nodded my head. "It's ok P. I know Pond and I are really close and tight so it's very usual that people always see us together and it's hard for them to do so otherwise. Maybe this is also why we both don't or cant date because nobody wants to date us thinking we are together."
P Force didn't say anything but just shot me a very apologetic look. I waved it away insisting I was fine. We sat down to dinner and it was like before, with him paying attention to what I liked to eat and also always serving me first.
Once we were done, P Force offered to wash up and didn't let me touch a single plate. I just sat on the island, nursing a glass of wine, swinging my feet and just chatting away with him. We had built up a very good camaderie and it was starting to shine through.
We chatted about games, hobbies, and things other than just work. It was the first time our conversation was going into personal stuff but it was enjoyable and I was learning new stuff about P Force.
Once he was done, he turned around to me, wiping his hands off on the apron.
"Can I get a glass of wine too Phuwin?"
"Sure P!" I got off the island, pouring him a glass of wine. I turned around and he was keeping away the apron. He turned to me, smiling and reached out for the glass of wine when I decided to be a little cheeky. I waited as he was about to take the glass then I pulled it away. I did it a few times and P Force growled at me. I laughed out loud and darted away from him, scurrying away like a little mouse, with the glass of wine in my hand!
P Force ran after me and I just kept skipping away! But he finally caught up with me, caging me at the dining table! I held the glass of wine as high as I could but he was taller than me so he easily just grabbed it, downing it as he glared at me. I laughed as he finished off the wine.
Only when he was done, it hit us that I was still caged between him and the dining table. The distance between us was just miniscule and he was just towering over me. I looked up at P Force, my face reddening.
"You ok, Phuwin?"
"Yes P.. why do you ask?"
"Why is your face so red? Are you coming down with a fever?"
"P! No! You are so close to me! I...I.. "
"Hang on, are you shyyyyyy?" P Force teased me. I smacked him on his chest and he laughed out even louder. Ugh! I tried pushing him away but he barely moved. In fact he leaned in even closer to me.
"P!!!!" I spluttered out in shock! He laughed as he pulled away, ruffling my hair and just said he was teasing me. Ugh, this P! 2nd time already he has teased me.
I watched as P Force walked back to the refrigerator to top up his wine and asked me if I wanted more. I nodded and he refilled my glass for me too.
We nursed our wine as we decided to game. Finally around 1am, P Force said he would make a move. I offered for him to stay over but he said he had work later so couldn't as he still needed to grab his work stuff. I nodded, asking him to be safe. He nodded, waving me goodbye as he drove off.
As he went off, I suddenly thought of that little girl who had told me to make P Force my boyfriend. Then my mind flitted back to the events that had happened tonight.
It just hit me that it seemed like I had just spent an evening with P Force and it was like he was my boyfriend. Even if I really knew he wasn't. But the funniest part, ugh that little girl's words kept playing in my head and I was also starting to think that P Force would actually make a wonderful boyfriend.
Ugh! I had to stop playing fairy tales in my head!!
