Chapter 35: Chapter 35

Standing here, I watched Skye struggled to find her words. Her pleading eyes met mine. They were so full of hurt. But some of it washed away as she stared at me.

"Megan, please, I love you.......no I'm in love with you. Please.....if you're worried about Sloan, I can talk to her....just, please, I'm begging you, don't throw us away." Her voice was pleading. Broken even. I could see her eyes brimming with tears.

"Skye......" I whispered. I need for her to understand that it wasn't safe for her, but I couldn't tell her. Not without her wanting to get involved. "I just......"

Falling for my best friends sister was as complicated as I has expected. The current circumstances didn't help at all. Standing up, I went to stalk out of the room.

"Stop, Megan!" I heard Skye call after me. I could hear the desperation that laced her voice. But I couldn't bring myself to turn back. How had I let myself get into this? How did I let myself fall in love with my best friends sister? This was all kinds of fucked up.

"I said stop!" She raised her voice, pulling on my arm slightly. I could feel the similar sparks and tingles, but given the situation, I denied myself the pleasure of succumbing to the pleasure of it. "Turn around....look me in the eye, and you tell me yourself, you don't love me."

"I can't." I said softly. Finally allowing myself to look up into her bright green eyes. "I.....can't."

"That's what I thought." Was all I heard before she slammed her lips onto mine. And in this moment, it was as if nothing else mattered.

Her lips moved swiftly against mine, her hands rested at my waist. I ran my hands through her soft hair. Gripping as I deepened the kiss. This was something I needed, her touch, her presence. She gave me the strength to take on whoever challenged my love for her.

I pushed her down on the bed, pinning her arms above her head. Bringing my lips down to her neck, I rejoiced as I felt her shiver beneath me. Hoisting her up, I stripped her of her shirt. There was a brief moment where we locked eyes, but it quickly ended when our lips met again.

As we kissed, we both stripped each other of clothing. Leaving both of us in nothing but our bras and underwear. Unlatching her bra, I gazed upon her exposed chest. Not being able to control myself, I kissed down her chest. Sucking gently with each kiss.

Both of our breathing had become ragged, and quick.

Finally realizing I had no idea what I was doing, I succumbed to Skye flipping both of us over. Undoing my bra in the process. Her eyes wandered and danced across my chest. Glazing over with lust. She kissed down my chest, my stomach, then kissed across my waist. As her soft hands pulled my pants down, and tossed them to the floor, she kept eye contact with me the whole time.

She kissed down my inner thighs, and positioned herself between my legs.

Gripping the sheets, my back arched as a wave of sensation rode through me. Within minutes, I was riding out my high, clutching harder on the sheet to prevent from calling out.

Skye laid herself beside me, caressing my face with her hand. "I love you." She whispered.

"I love you, too, Skye." I said gently, grabbing her hand and kissing it. "But, we have to be careful. At least for now." Her brows furrowed in confusion. "Your accident......it happened because of me."

"What do you mean?"

"Do you remember when I told you about the creepy guy at the party Sloan and I went to?"

"The guy that was somehow invited to our family reunion, but mysteriously disappeared?" Skye inquired, pushing my hair out of my face.

"Yeah......he was...." A lump formed in my throat, as I thought about how badly Skye could have gotten hurt. "He was the one who slammed into you." Her eyes brimmed with anger, but she relaxed as she pulled me closer in her arms.

"What are you going to do?"

"What I always do." I said, I sold my leg between her's, and pressed my thigh gently against her bare core. She bit her lip, as her free hand gripped my waist. I let my hand travel down her stomach. Her hand grabbed mine softly.

"You don't have to do anything you don't want." She said softly. She knew I wasn't that experienced with girls, and she wanted to make sure I was comfortable. Even after the hell I put her through today.

"Trust me, I want this." I tried to make my voice sound seductive, but I'm sure it sounded anything but.

My lips traveled down her body, her body shivered beneath my touch. When I reached her core, I kissed her inner thighs as she did me. The moment my mouth met her core, I felt as if I were on cloud nine. I wasn't exactly sure of what I was doing, but the reactions I was getting, told me I wasn't doing completely horrible. I worked my tongue in and out of her, making her body convulse with each and every movement. Eventually, I rode her down from her climax.

Bringing my lips to hers, I kissed her with my all. I wanted her to see that I truly did love her. That I was in love with her. That this 'break' was needed, not something that was wanted. I wanted her safe.

"I love you." She whispered once again, like she wanted validation.

"I love you, too." I said, kissing her lips once more.

After about a half hour of Skye and I cuddling naked, I neglectfully stood and began redressing myself. I made sure not to tell Skye too much about what Sloan and I had planned for Brian. Mostly because I didn't want for her to get involved. Like I knew she would.

Pecking her lips once, I watched her eyes droop with sadness as I headed to the door. "I love you." I said once more.

"I love you, too."

Closing the door behind me, I leaned my head against it briefly before going to Sloan's room. She was sitting on her bed, two phones in hand. One belonging to Brian, the other, Sloan's little cousin.

"Everything ok?" Sloan asked, not even bothering to look up from the phone.

"Yeah."

"It sure sounded ok." She said, laughing as her thumbs twittled away at the screens. My face grew to be beet red. Sitting beside her, I watched as she sent text after text between the two devices. "Are you sure you want to start this?" Sloan asked, skeptically. I knew she was about to send an incriminating photo to Brian's phone.

"He started this when he tried to hurt Skye." My voice was deep, and full of malice. I was ok if he wanted to threaten me. But once he takes it upon himself to threaten Skye, or even Sloan, it's fair game. If he wants to play dirty, so will I.

Now, I know what some of you are thinking. Why not just report him? Call the cops? One main reason, there isn't any actual proof it was him. Besides the texts he sent me while Skye was sitting in a hospital bed. Even then, that's barely enough to create reasonable suspicion. Maybe probable cause, but that's not something that will do much.

If I want him out of my life, completely, I need to make his life a living hell. It's sad really, if he wasn't such a freak, and if I wasn't already completely in love with Skye, I'd think he was a bit cute. You know, in a weird boyish type of way.

Regardless, he threatened the things I care about. So, he deserves to pay. Karma's a bitch, am I right?

"Everything is set. Now, all we have to do, is plant the phone back in is bag, and report it before he has a chance to read through everything." Sloan was pretty tech savvy, so, she encrypted Brian's messages to where it wouldn't say it in the messages, but only when you searched up the number.

Then Sloan's phone began to ring. Picking it up, she looked at the screen, and tossed her phone aside. I saw that it was Chase calling. Eying her suspiciously, I didn't stop staring her down until she told me what that was about. The last I knew, Chase and her were all lovey dovey. But, I suppose that my current crises prevented me from being an effective friend.

"What's going on with you and Chase?" I asked curiously.

"Nothing." She said curtly. Then sighed. "Do you think it's possible to love two people at once?" Her eyes were distant, but her thumbs were moving continuously across the screen.

"I suppose. The human heart, is full of emotion. Or at least I think of it that way. So, yeah, I would say it's possible." I explained, watching her face contort in confusion. "Why?"

"Nothing." She immediately declined, ignoring the topic completely. I knew to drop it, but it was something that was clearly bothering her. I haven't been a good best friend at all, how haven't I noticed this?

Either way, I was ending this silent battle with Brian, I am going to make it safe for me to show everyone that Skye was mine. And I was definitely going to start being a better best friend to Sloan.

It is going to happen. No matter how hard I would have to fight for it.
