"Y/N, are you ready? It's almost your turn to take the stage."
I sigh.
"Yep. I'm ready."
B/N nods.
"You take the stage in three. Calm yourself down first."
I take a deep breath, sneaking a peek at the audience. There are just as many students as I had expected.
"Y/N, this is your queue."
"Got it."
I step onto the stage with my prop sword, immersing myself into the play, and becoming one with my character.
"Knight? What are you doing here?!"
I chuckle.
"I've come here to capture you, commoner."
I raise my sword.
"Now, surrender yourself..."
"...!"
I 'knock her out' with my blade and carry her away backstage for Elise's part next.
I set Alisa down and get ready the props for the next scene.
"Y/N, things are smooth sailing for now. Keep up the good work."
Alisa pats me on the back.
"Yep. You too."
Soon, we head out for the next scene.
"Knight... how dare you?!"
"Oh, princess... what's wrong? Have I triggered something? You used to be cold and merciless... how does it feel to suffer now?"
"You...!"
I leave the cell, to meet with the king.
"My knight... I plan on executing that commoner first. We need her out of the way."
"What? But she's innocent-!"
"Are you defying me?"

I grip my sword tightly.

"Princess, commoner. I have planned the escape route. Just follow it and we'll make it out."
"We owe you one, knight... even if you got us into this first."
I smile softly.
"I should've known it was wrong, rather than following the king's orders blindly."
I cut off the chains on the commoner and princess' hands.
"C'mon, let's go."
"Knight! What are you doing?!"
"My king- I-!"
"Silence! You are a traitor."
I fought off the other knights.
"You... knight, how dare you?"
I raise my blade, preparing for the slash...
Before I could, I trip over the king's robe..
"Eh-?"
"Oof-!"
I land on top of the king...
"Y/N, what are you doing?!"
She whisper-yelled at me.
"I fell, okay..?!"
Elise and Alisa stood awkwardly behind.
"Uhm..."
Quick... improvise something..!
"Uhm.. my king! The truth is... I've only ever had eyes for you...!"
"Wha-?!"
I grasp her hands tightly in mine, dropping the sword down.
"I have always been loyal to you, my king... but I cannot stand seeing you do something like this... Only bad things come from it."
I sneakily glance back at Elise and Alisa and signal for them to run.
They did, and I continued trying to cover up the mistake..
"Y/N- Knight, what are you saying?!"
"It's true, my king... I love you."
The audience had their mouths wide open.
"Kiss...!"
One of the audience shouted.
"Kiss! Kiss!"
The rest continued chanting.
I gulp.
This isn't part of the script...
Blair is flushed red.
She froze, and her eyes stared blankly back into mine...
Sorry Blair, I have to save to show...!
I lean close.

*gasp*
I got up, and knelt before my king.
"My king... I will protect you forever, so please... trust me and let the commoner and the princess go."
"You- What- fine..."
My king crossed her arms, avoiding my gaze.
"I will do it... I can't refuse my loyal knight after all...and... I love you too, my knight."
I smile.
"...?"
B/N signalled anxiously from backstage.
I quickly picked Blair up and ran backstage.
I took away the lead characters' spotlights...!
Alisa and Elise continue on with their touching scene minus the kissing scene...
And the show ends.
"Y/N, what were you thinking you dummy?!"
"Sorry... that was a little sudden huh..."
"Of course you idiot...! You...!"
"Look, I'm sorry... okay? I'll make it up to you."

The soothing sound of her voice, and the warmth of her body on mine made me feel things I shouldn't feel.
When she pulled back, she continued to act as if nothing happened.

I can't tell if that was part of my acting anymore.
I'd be lying if I said I didn't imagine things with her... but when she said that...
