WY Group.

The wall behind the counter had a gold background and was inlaid with the words “WY Group,” bold and powerful. It looked magnificent and stood out in people’s eyes like a dragon’s nest, making people afraid to underestimate it.

“I’m sorry, you haven’t made an appointment, I can’t let you come up.” The receptionist said in a professional tone.

Theresa stood at the counter anxiously and said politely, “I really need to meet with your president and ask him something. It’s very urgent.”

Dolores had not been to the store for two days and could not be reached. Dolores had moved to Matthew’s villa and didn’t know where she was. She was a little worried, so she had come in wanting to ask Matthew why Dolores wasn’t coming to the store.

The store had just opened and most of her customers were coming because of her reputation. Her absence was going to make customers feel that they were not being treated sincerely.

Besides, Dolores was very serious and passionate about her word and was not the type of person who would just stop going without saying anything.

If she had been able to contact her and Dolores had said she wasn’t going to the store because she had something to do, then Theresa would have felt reassured. But right now, she couldn’t even contact her.

How could she not worry?

“I’m so sorry. I can’t let you go upstairs without an appointment. If everyone behaves like you, our boss won’t be able to do anything besides meet with people like you and waste his time.” Although she kept her dignified attitude, her words were not as smooth as before, as she was annoyed with Theresa.

“Why can’t you guys be a little accommodating? Or how about you call your boss and let me talk to him on the phone.”

“No. If you have a lot of time, you can sit in the lobby and wait for him to come down. You can talk to him yourself and if he’s willing you can ask him anything you want.”

“Why are you being like this?”

“I’m sorry, it’s my job.”

Theresa lowered her head sadly. The people in this huge company were so unkind.

She just wanted to see Matthew.

“Hi, Theresa!” Armand walked through the door, twirling the car key in his hand, looking idle.

Theresa didn’t bother to pay attention to him.

She turned to leave.

“Hi.” As she passed him, he grabbed her arm, “How come you hide every time you see me? I don’t eat people. Besides, we’re friends, we should greet each other when we meet, aren’t you being too impolite?”

Theresa frowned and tried to wriggle out of his grasp, “Politeness also depends on who the other person is. You grab my wrist as soon as you arrive. If I didn’t know any better, I’d think you were a hustler.”

Armand raised his eyebrows, shook off his dustless suit and looked at her with narrowed eyes, “I can sue you for slander for talking like that.”

Theresa’s face sank and she said in disgust, “Are you crazy? First you provoke me and now you make false accusations. Wow, this is telling.”

Armand wasn’t actually going to sue her, but was just teasing her. Seeing her angry, the corners of his lips lifted slightly, “You’ve come to meet Matthew?” He had overheard her talking to the receptionist as she walked in.

Before Theresa could respond, she said, “Fancy our Matthew?”.

“What nonsense are you talking!” Theresa was annoyed and her face turned red. Matthew was very handsome; he had the charm that only a mature man could have.

But she knew very well that he was Dolores’.

She had never thought of him that way.

Did he have the nerve to tease her?

He simply wasn’t a person!

“Are you angry?” Armand tilted his head to look at her.

Theresa wanted so badly to slap him and it took all her strength not to. She gave him a fierce look and hurried away.

Armand curved his lips and stood his ground as he looked at her with a strategic gaze, “You’ve come to see Matthew to ask about Miss Flores, haven’t you?”

Armand had just come from Boyce’s office to deal with the matter of the accusation against Maria.

He had learned from Boyce that there was no word from Dolores. He had heard that Matthew was in a bad mood because of this. As his friend, he had to come to worry about it.

Theresa’s footsteps stopped-she knew about Dolores!

But at the thought of his chutzpah, she resisted and didn’t speak to him immediately.

“Something has happened to Miss Flores, don’t you worry as her friend?” Armand turned and looked at the hesitant Theresa.

Did something happen to Dolores?

How could something happen to her?

Theresa didn’t believe him. She wouldn’t doubt it if someone else had told her, but she didn’t have a good impression of him.

“Don’t try to fool me. Dolores is fine. Why are you cursing her? What are you trying to do?” Armand, “…”

You didn’t believe him?

“Is my character so bad?”

“Are you even a person?” Theresa looked at him coldly. Talking to him was useless.

Seeing that Theresa was really angry, Armand straightened his expression and said seriously, “Miss Flores has been missing for two days and there is no news of her. Now, it’s hard to tell even if she’s in B-Town or not, do you believe it now?”. After saying that, Armand went to the reception and stayed there. At the reception desk, he ran his hand across the table that reflected people’s faces on it, looked at the receptionist and winked at her.

Although Armand didn’t come to the company often, everyone knew about his relationship with Matthew. The receptionist had already seen his interaction with Theresa a moment ago.

Armand knew her.

He knew Theresa might have a real reason to see Matthew.

But he had never seen this woman before – where was she from?

He couldn’t help but gossip, “Who is she?”

Armand raised his eyebrows, “It’s nothing for you to know. Gossip less and do your job.”

The receptionist pursed her lips and replied dryly, “Understood. No gossip.”

“Good girl.” Armand smiled at her with a charming look.

The receptionist took a sip of water. Although Armand wasn’t as attractive as Matthew, he was still a ‘diamond’ among ordinary people.

And he had just winked at her.

The receptionist looked at Armand like a lovesick fool, unaware that she was almost drooling.

Armand sighed in disgust.

Dolores had disappeared?

Was she real or fake?

Theresa looked at Armand in confusion. Her concern for Dolores overcame her disgust for him. “Had something really happened to Dolores?”

In fact, she hadn’t been able to contact her for two days.

Armand looked at her like she was an idiot, “Can you joke about something like that? Besides, why would I lie to you?”.

“So what should we do now?” Theresa nearly cried anxiously, “What about Samuel and Simona?”

Armand didn’t react for a while, “Samuel and Simona, who?”

“Dolores’ son and daughter.”

“Wait…” Armand reached over and pulled her aside. Dolores had been married to Matthew before. It didn’t last long and it was a hidden marriage. Not many people knew about it, only a few close to Matthew knew.

But now he was saying that Dolores had had children.

Whose children were they?

Matthew’s?

This was…

After so many years after the divorce, it was hard to say they were Matthew’s.

Besides, did Matthew know that Dolores had children?

“You said Miss Flores gave birth to two children, how old are they?”

“Five or six years old. They’re twins, so they’re both the same age, what’s wrong?” Seeing the wariness in Armand’s eyes, Theresa also became alert. Why was she asking?

“Do you know that Miss Flores was married?”

“Yes.”

In fact, Dolores never told anyone about herself, nor did she mention her short marriage to Theresa. Theresa only said so because she had guessed.

Because Dolores was not someone who slept around casually. Theresa had been with her for so long, knowing her character and personality, that she would never have given birth to someone’s children unless she was married.

And from her observation, the man she had been married to was Matthew. She didn’t know why they had divorced. She could see that Matthew still had feelings for Dolores.

Armand complained twice: “You know everything, you seem to be very good friends with Miss Flores. Then you would know the father of the two children…”

“Huh, what do you mean?” Theresa snorted coldly, obviously sensing that he thought Samuel and Simona were not Matthew’s.

“Dolores isn’t someone who casually sleeps around. Don’t overthink it and don’t think she’s a bad person.” Theresa was angry again that Armand doubted Dolores and her children.

Since infancy, the two children had been raised alone by Dolores. Their father had never once fulfilled his obligations. But now, even her friends were casually questioning the identity of the two children. How could she not be angry?

Armand looked at her, “You’re angry again.”

“I have nothing to say to you.” Theresa didn’t want to deal with him at all, but out of politeness, she said, “Thank you for telling me about Dolores.”

After speaking, she turned and left. Armand chased her outside, “Wait a minute.”
