Dolores was confused by the fever, she didnât quite catch what Matthew had said, she only caught that phrase of âI wonât touch youâ. She let go of his hand calmly.
Matthew took off her knitted sweater, traces of water still remained on her crystalline skin. She was cold and her body was still shivering, she squirmed and twisted her body, wanting to find a cozy spot. Matthew looked at her, her cheeks were red with fever. Her hair was wet and clung to her cheeks. She looked very much like she had from an intense night when sweat had soaked her hair, and that sexy look when she had run out of energy.
Matthew felt his whole body heat up, if Dolores wasnât sick, this time, she really wouldnât control herself.
He inhaled deeply, and averted his gaze, draping the blanket over her.
When her clothes were removed, she felt her body warm, and reached up to pull the blanket tighter around her.
Matthew turned up the heat in the house, picked up the clothes from the floor, and put them in the bathroom. He closed the bathroom door, turned on the hot water, took off his clothes, and took a hot bath. Then he put on clean clothes. With a dry towel in one of her hands, and another hand rubbing her hair, she walked to the side of the bed. She threw the towel used to rub her head on the table, and used the other dry towel to wipe Doloresâ face and hair.
Step into new worlds at g Ɐ lnÏ Î½ð® âsâ¤conn She had taken a hot bath and her body temperature had recovered. Thatâs why he could touch her. He carried her and put her under the blanket.
Dolores could feel the warmth of his body, she wrapped her arms around him and snuggled into his arms, her head like a kitten, burying herself in his neck.
Matthew seemed to have activated her weak spot. Without moving, her muscles clenched tightly. Dolores wore no clothes, her tender body moved over his, and her feelings swayed.
He was not someone without self-control, but in front of this woman.
Her self-control, was literally a joke.
Dolores was in a state of confusion, totally unaware of the situation she was in right now. She was cold, and wanted to find a warm place to curl up, and this warm place was Matthewâs arms.
Her hands were not honest, because she realized that this warm place was blocked by something. She wanted to remove this thing.
Matthew lowered his head and looked at her hands tugging at his bathrobe. Her eyes were dull.
His Adamâs apple was bobbing up and down, his voice was low, âIf you keep playing like thisâ¦Iâm afraid I wonât be able to control myself.â He was a human being, please donât test him like this.
Dolores wasnât listening at all to what he was saying, she just wanted a warm âplaceâ.
Helplessly, Matthew clutched his hands.
âHmmâ¦.â She had been grabbed by someone, feeling uncomfortable, her eyebrows furrowed. Her hands struggled, âHmm, let me go -â
âIâll let you go, but stay out of it.â Matthew controlled himself, and the fire raging inside him, âIf you keep messing around, I wonât control myself anymore, I donât care that youâre not conscious. Itâs no big deal, I can make it up to you again when youâre conscious.â
Iâm not sure if Dolores heard what Matthew said, but she stopped moving, and Matthew tried to let go of her hands, and she stopped moving.
Matthew lowered his head and looked at her, and listened to her even breathing. Matthew, ââ¦â
Had she fallen asleep like this?
She blinked, wasnât this too fast, she had already decided not to control herself. And now, in the end, had she fallen asleep?
After seducing him, she herself had fallen asleep?
Just like that?
Knock knock â
âIâve called the doctor.â Boyceâs voice sounded from outside the door.
Matthew climbed off the bed to pull the blanket tightly over Dolores. Her entire body was wrapped, only her head was visible.
Making sure she looked very decent, Matthew went to open the door.
Next to Boyce was a doctor wearing glasses, in his hands was a medical box.
Matthew quickly ushered them in.
Boyce knew Matthew had some reservations, so he said, âI went to get it myself.â
There wouldnât be anyone playing clueless in the middle.
Only then did Matthew turn his body to the side and softly said, âCome in.â
âHeâs on the bed.â Matthew walked to the side of the bed, and the doctor followed, put the medical box on the table, took out the thermometer and placed it in Doloresâ ear. With the push of a button, her temperature was taken very quickly.
The doctor frowned, âWhy does she have such a high fever, itâs 41 degrees, how did she get this fever?â.
âBy falling into the water.â replied Matthew.
The doctor put the thermometer back in its medical box. He must have been shivering in the water. In this weather, if he fell into the water, it would be strange if he didnât have a fever, âLet the fever cool down first, I will prescribe some medicine to bring his fever down.â
While he was taking the medicine, the doctor said, âHe has suffered chills from falling into the water. He will have cold in his body, make him some ginger tea to get rid of the chills.â
âOkay.â Matthew lowered his eyes, looking at the lady on the bed, her face was even redder compared to a moment ago.
The doctor prepared the medicine, wrote on it the intake and the amount, put it on the table, âLet her eat now. When his fever comes down and he starts sweating a little, heâll be fine.â
âThank you, Iâll bring him down.â Boyce dismissed the guest.
Boyce only came back up after a while, he was carrying two bowls of ginger tea.
âI saw you were wet too, so I had the hotel chef prepare two bowls.â Boyce passed him the bowl.
Matthew took it and finished the ginger tea. She passed the bowl to him, and took the other, âWait for me outside first.â
âOkay.â
Boyce picked up an empty bowl and went outside. Matthew put the ginger tea on the table and helped Dolores sit down. Dolores was settling into her sleep, unwilling to move. Now that she was being moved around, she felt annoyed and her eyebrows furrowed.
Matthew patiently coaxed her, âGood girl, wake up and drink some ginger tea and eat some medicine before you go back to sleep.â
He put the medicine in Doloresâ mouth. Perhaps because it was too bitter, she did not swallow it, but spit it out.
Matthew, ââ¦â
âGood girl, take your medicine.â Matthew again took out two pills. This time Dolores didnât even open her mouth, muttering, âBitter.â All medicine was bitter.
With no other choice, Matthew put the medicine in his own mouth, then brought his lips to hers and pushed it in.
Dolores twisted her head, wanting to push him away, but Matthew pinned her head down, not allowing her to move. He used his tongue to push the medicine down her throat. It was as if something was stuck there, it felt terrible, she wanted to spit it out, but couldnât, and could only try to swallow it, but there was no water. If she swallowed it dry, it wouldnât go down and it would stick in her esophagus.
Matthew took a gulp of ginger tea, and once again brought his lips close to hers, pushing the water down into her. This time, Dolores was very proactive in wanting to drink the water.
Quickly, the medicine was drawn by the water into her stomach.
Matthew had used this method to make her finish the entire bowl of ginger tea.
Putting her to bed, he covered her with a blanket and let her sleep.
After drinking the ginger tea, her body became warm. She turned her body, shifted to find a comfortable position and continued to sleep.
Matthew sat by her bedside for a moment. Seeing that she was fast asleep, he only got up to leave the room.
Boyce was outside the house, seeing Matthew come out, he asked, âIs she any better?â
âHe just took his medicineâ¦â
âI want to look for Mr. Nelson.â
âIâm sorry, outsiders are not allowed in here, you canât come in.â Charles and the bodyguardâs voice came through from the elevator.
âCharles?â Boyce looked at Matthew.
Matthewâs expression was grim. He had arrived just in the nick of time. This business, Charles had some explaining to do .
