Armand frowned, âWhat are you laughing at?â.
âYou think they won? You think they got me?â Sampson laughed more and more wildly.
Armand frowned even more, what did he mean?
Matthew took Doloresâ cold hand and hugged her even tighter. His eyes narrowed slightly.
âWhat else can you do? You canât escape today no matter what.â Armand looked at Sampson who had gone mad, his face turned angry.
âI canât escape, but you can.â He unzipped his zipper as he spoke.
Soon after, Armand understood what he meant because he was wearing a bomb strapped to his body.
As soon as he showed the bomb, everyone around screamed. The woman selling food took her daughter in her arms and hid under the table.
She looked at Matthew and laughed, âWho among you dares to catch me?â.
Matthewâs face remained the same as he shielded Dolores behind him, âWhat do you want?â.
As he spoke, the bodyguard behind Sampson slowly stepped forward and tried to subdue Sampson.
Sampson opened his arms, âGive me Lola, let me take her, otherwise letâs die together.â
Matthew deliberately bargained with him so that the bodyguards could approach him.
âAnd if I donât agree?â
âIâve already told you, weâll die together if you donât agree, no one would be left alive!â. Sampson looked to his side, âLola, do you really want to see so many people die because of you?â
Dolores turned her head and didnât look at him, but her eyes happened to land on the mother and daughter hiding under the table. Their eyes blinked and their hands clenched.
They were innocent but their lives were in danger because of her.
Dolores wanted to tell them to leave. There was no use hiding under the table, but she was afraid of attracting Sampsonâs attention.
âLola, come with me. Iâm the only one who really loves you and truly loves you. Only I can die for you. Come with me.â He reached for Dolores.
At that moment, the bodyguard approaching Sampson accidentally bumped into the chair and made a noise. Sampson looked back and saw the bodyguard approaching him. His face instantly turned grim. He found the bodyguard, so the bodyguard opted to move quickly towards him and catch him.
Sampson kicked down the chair in front of him and blocked the bodyguard.
âMommy, Mommy!â The little girl panicked and went into her motherâs arms. Sampson turned his head and stared at the little girl. Dolores saw that he was going to hurt the little girl, she quickly said, âStop him, quick.â
The bodyguards rushed to protect the daughter, but they were too late. Sampsons overturned the table and grabbed the girl. The woman refused to let go of her daughter, âLet go of my daughter.â
âGive her to me!â Sampson yelled at the woman, the woman was terrified and screamed, âLet go of my daughter, let go of my daughter!â
The little girl felt pain as she tried to snatch her away, frightened she was screaming, âMommy, Mommyâ¦â
Dolores wanted to help the mother save her daughter. Sampson was a lunatic now and would definitely hurt the little girl.
As soon as she moved, Matthew quickly stopped her, âIâll go.â
Sampson used brutal force to rip the girl from the womanâs hand. He only wanted to use the girl to threaten Dolores. As soon as she turned her head, she saw Matthew, âYouâ¦â
Matthew moved very quickly and grabbed Sampsonâs hand tightly. Matthew was so strong that Sampson felt pain in his hand, his hand holding the girl loosened. Matthew took the opportunity and grabbed the girl in his arms again. Sampson was very angry, his blood was boiling and he touched the bomb strapped to his body, he tried to press it to detonate the bomb. In that moment of nervousness, Matthew raised his foot and kicked it away.
Bang.
Tables and chairs fell over.
Sampsonâs reaction was swift. He got up and ran.
The bodyguards quickly chased after him.
âBoohooâ¦â The little girl cried in Matthewâs arms. He looked down and saw the girlâs face turn blue with fear. Her frozen red hands gripped the collar of his shirt tightly in fear of being snatched away.
âLouise, Louise.â The woman rushed to hold her daughter. Matthew handed her daughter back to her.
He wrapped his daughter tightly in his arms, kissing his sobbing daughter and comforting her, âDonât be afraid. Itâs safe now, itâs okay now. Mommy is here.â
âThank you.â The woman hugged her daughter and leaned into Matthew. Without him, perhaps her daughter would have already died in the explosion.
She never thought Sampson was a madman, otherwise a normal person wouldnât strap a bomb to his own body.
âHe came over for lunch. He told me he had argued with his girlfriend. He asked my daughter to take this young woman. Who knew heâ¦â The woman looked at Dolores with reddened eyes, âHe almost hurt himself.â
The woman knew why Dolores gave her daughter money. She was willing to eat the food because she didnât want her to be embarrassed. She simply accepted the money Dolores gave her without much thought. She was a kind person, but she did not expect that her daughter and herself were about to hurt her.
Dolores never felt that the mother and daughter were at fault. Only that her kindness was being used.
âItâs too late now. Hurry home nowâ¦â
âAh!â
Before Dolores could finish her words, a terrified scream interrupted her. Matthew and she turned at the same time. They saw that Mistress Leslie was being held captive by Sampson.
âWhatâs going on?â Armand rushed over, âHow could she be caught by him?â
The bodyguard said, âWe chased him and he ran this way. Mrs. Leslie came out of the house and ran into him. He didnât know Mrs. Leslieâs identity. He just captured her as a hostage.â
Mrs. Leslie was so frightened that when she saw Armand, she immediately shouted, âArmand.â
She didnât know who Sampson was and no one told her about todayâs plan. They only kept her and the two children in the room. Simona insisted Boyce to look for Dolores.
So Mrs. Leslie went downstairs to look for Dolores. She also wanted to look for Armand. Armand and Theresa were newlyweds. She was worried that Armand still hadnât come home when it was so late, so Boyce didnât see her come downstairs.
When Mrs. Leslie arrived downstairs, she saw Armand and Dolores outside. She wanted to go out and look for them. Suddenly Sampson pounced on her and seized her.
âYou know Armand?â Sampson grinned fiercely.
Mistress Leslie was older now and didnât notice anything wrong with Sampson. She replied casually, âArmand is my grandson.â
âHaha.â Sampson burst out laughing. He looked at Armand and then looked at Matthew for a moment, âYouâre not going to let me go, are you?â
âSon of a bitch!â Armand was about to rush at Sampson, Matthew quickly stopped him, âCalm down.â
Armandâs chest heaved rapidly, âIf you dare touch my grandmother, even a lock of her hair. Iâll feed you to the dogs.â
âThen you have to be able to catch me.â Knowing that the hostage in his hand was Armandâs grandmother, Sampson was sure he wouldnât dare act rashly.
âIf you want to save her, fine.â His eyes shifted to Dolores, âTrade with you.â
âShit, no way!â Armand was disgusted with Sampson.
Sampson suddenly grabbed Mistress Leslieâs hand with great force, Mistress Leslie gave a cry of pain.
Armand said angrily, âFuck you!â
âI agree to swap with her. I will go with you and you will let her go.â Dolores said suddenly. Matthew stood in the middle. He didnât speak, but his eyes met hers. They both understood each other without the need for words. Dolores said with a smile, âI believe in you.â
Dolores repeated inside her mind, âI believe you can save me.â After saying that, Dolores turned to Sampson.
Armand got nervous and yelled at Dolores, âHeâs a pervert. Heâs targeting you. If you leave, youâll fall for his game.â
Dolores didnât seem to hear him and didnât hesitate at all.
Armand turned to look at Matthew, âYouâre really letting her go?â.
