Jeffery also instructed her not to get up. He said Marina could manage on her own.

“I miss your mother all of a sudden, join me for wine,” Jeffery poured the wine for Matthew.

Marina purposely said, “You are hurt, don’t drink.”

“I’m in a bad mood, can’t I drink some?” Jeffery’s words stopped Marina from speaking.

Jeffery picked up his wine glass and encouraged Matthew, “Join me for a drink.”

Jeffery would get melancholy when he thought of Jolene and asked Matthew to drink wine with him in the past. So Matthew didn’t think much of it and joined him for a drink.

Jeffery, indeed, was in a bad mood that day, thinking about Jolene. He feared that Matthew was not Jolene’s son.

He wanted to find out the truth, but he feared that Matthew was not Jolene’s son.

Her volume was low.

“I’ve picked up the glass you used, is that all right?”

Dolores frowned, she caught the key point instantly. The glass Marina was holding was the glass Matthew had just used.

She was taken aback. ‘Do they realize Matthew’s identity and want to find out the truth, that’s why they asked them to eat here?

Is their goal to get Matthew’s saliva and test his DNA? After thinking about that, he felt a sense of coldness.

If Jeffery knows Matthew’s identity, their relationship will be spoiled and they will become enemies.

She smiled and said, “The food is getting cold. Follow me to eat together.”

Marina wanted to turn her down, but she couldn’t find a suitable excuse. So she couldn’t help but follow Dolores into the dining room.

Marina felt uncomfortable, still holding the glass.

Dolores took food for her deliberately, “Auntie, this is delicious.”

It would be awkward if Marina didn’t eat it, she found an excuse, “I’m going to get water.”

She put the glass in the kitchen when she got water there.

Dolores watched her stealthily. After seeing Marina put the glass down, Dolores picked up her glass and went into the kitchen. She exchanged her glass with the one on the table as Marina reached for another glass.

Marina was surprised when she turned around and saw Dolores, “Why did you come?”.

“I want to drink some water too,” Dolores passed her the glass.

She looked at Dolores’ glass and the one on the table. She found the glass on the table, she felt relieved. She smiled and said, “Let me pour you some water.” Dolores received the glass.

After pouring the water, they returned to the dining room table.

Jeffery’s emotions were not stable. He still hadn’t come out of it.

Dolores sat down next to Matthew. She looked at Jeffery, understood why he seemed so long-suffering all of a sudden.

‘He must be afraid that Matthew is not Jolene’s son.’

According to his behavior last time, he was treating Matthew sincerely.

He appreciated the kinship.

Dolores sighed quietly.

She sighed because the world kept changing, she sighed because God was making fun of people.

Luckily, she found him earlier, then nothing would change.

Jolene had passed away. If Jeffery wanted to do any DNA testing, he could simply extract it from living people.

Then, he would compare the DNA between Matthew and Victoria.

If Matthew’s DNA was extracted, Jeffery would discover the truth.

However, since she had exchanged the glass, Jeffery would not be able to discover anything.

After the meal, Dolores exchanged the silverware she used with Matthew when she helped Marina clear the table.

They were the same, no one would notice that she had swapped them.

Marina tugged at her, “You don’t need to help me. Go to the living room now, I’ll clean it myself.”

Dolores pretended to be calm: “Let me help you.”

“No need,” Marina pulled her to the living room and did not allow her to move the things in the dining room.
