*Geek Boy*
Ellie Kent's lips were incredibly soft.
I was kissing Ellie Kent.
I was kissing Ellie Kent.
Ellie Kent was kissing me.
My heart was pounding so rapidly that I could barely breathe.
I couldn't believe it.
But she was here, her lips brushing mine, sending hot waves throughout my entire body.
Her hands clutched my shirt, sending fizzes of electricity straight into my heart. My fingers slid up her face, embedding themselves into her thick luxurious curls. The locks spilled around my fingers, soft against my skin.
How many times had I dreamed of touching her hair?
My other hand was positioned on her back. I could feel her trembling as she leaned into me. I rubbed soothing lines down her back. Her body stilled, melting as she leaned into my hands.
My heart was going to beat straight out of my chest.
I was kissing Ellie Kent.
I had to be the luckiest man on the planet.
Tentatively, I swiped my tongue across her bottom lip. She gasped and her lips parted, releasing strawberry mint warmth.
One of her hands slid up my chest, brushing my neck, and coiled into my hair.
I pulled her closer, leaning forward until our bodies were almost touching. She shivered as her other hand wrapped around my back, sending jolts of electricity through my sweater. I could feel every single one of her fingers burning an impression into my back.
I never wanted it to end. I wanted to kiss her forever.
This moment was perfect. The most perfect moment in my entire life.
My phone vibrated. I ignored it, pressing closer to her.
It vibrated again, this time more loudly.
I sighed.
Too quickly, I pulled away, still holding her close to me. Her eyes, the perfect shade of aquamarine, opened slowly, widening as they stared up at me. Red burnt her cheeks and her breathing was soft as she tried to catch her breath.
Dang, she was beautiful.
Our breaths mingled between us. Again I was hit with that thought: This wasn't happening. It couldn't be.
Ellie Kent liked me. Ellie Kent, the girl I'd had a crush on for seven years, liked me.
I couldn't believe it. I felt as if I'd stepped into an alternate reality and, any second now, I would wake up and things would be back to normal.
If so, I didn't ever want to wake up.
I pulled away reluctantly, reaching into my pocket to pull out my phone. It was my alarm. Fluorescent green lights gleamed in the darkness, reading 10:30.
I sighed, "I should take you home soon."
Ellie bit her lip as she gazed at me from beneath her lashes. She hesitated. "I don't want to go home yet," she said softly.
My heart thumped, making it hard to breathe.
She wanted to stay with me. Ellie Kent wanted to stay with me.
I nodded, unable to speak.
I put my glasses back on as I switched on the ignition.
As I drove, Ellie shot glances at me. Every time I caught her gaze, she'd duck her head, her face burning red.
She was so adorable.
Tentatively, I reached towards her, slipping my hand into hers. She intertwined her fingers with mine, inadvertently sending jolts of electricity up my arm. Her skin was soft, melting in my palm. Her hands were so small but made my fingers burn from the tiniest movement.
Ellie Kent.
My heart wouldn't stop pounding.
I couldn't hold back my grin as the car bypassed houses and greenery and twisted through the town. In the corner of my eye, I watched as her house blurred behind us.
I was with Ellie Kent.
Things couldn't get better.

We pulled up outside 'The Sweet Plaza' thirty minutes later.
I glanced at Ellie. Her eyes widened as she took in the restaurant.
"Have you been here before?" I asked.
She shook her head. Her gaze touched my face. "My mom's very dedicated to healthy food," she explained.
I frowned. I knew Ellie liked sweet food. I'd seen the way she looked at chocolate since we were in elementary school.
She bit her lip. "I've always wanted to go here though." She looked up at me again, her eyes glimmering. "C-can we go in?" she asked.
My heart fluttered.
"Sure."
I let go of her hand, feeling the absence of her warmth immediately. I slipped out of the car and strode towards her door, opening it for her.
Without a second thought, I held out my hand to her.
She blushed before placing her hand in mine.
She stumbled out of the car. Automatically I reached out, catching her waist, steadying her.
Her face reddened. "Sorry," she squeaked.
I bit back a chuckle.
So cute.
Intertwining her fingers with mine, I shut her door and led her into the restaurant.
Mentally, I prayed she couldn't hear my unsteady breathing.
I watched her surreptitiously. She was staring at the ground, her bottom lip caught beneath her teeth. Her hair had fallen loose from its ponytail, golden blonde hair spilling over her shoulders in enthusiastic curls. She was still wearing my shirt, sleeves rolled up to reveal her fingers, over the black jeans that slickly outlined her long legs. Even with heeled boots, she barely reached my chest.
She was so beautiful.
The scent of chocolate and sugar  hit us as soon as we walked in. The restaurant was nearly vacant--the majority of locals were still at the festival. I led us to a booth at the end, sliding in opposite to Ellie. Reluctantly, I released her hand.
I slid a menu over to Ellie, watching as she perused it, eyes large. I couldn't hide my smile at her expression. Her cherubic face lit up, her mouth slightly parted, her eyes glazing over as she took in the orders.
"Is there anything you want?" I asked.
"The Super Chocolate Nutty Surprise milkshake sounds delicious," she gushed. "And the Double Chocolate Cookie Dough sounds so amazing! But I'd love to try the Chocolate Vanilla Nut Sundae, it looks awesome!" She glanced up and blushed, blinking out of her daze. "Sorry," she mumbled. "I'm totally blubbering."
Warmth flooded my chest. I chuckled.
Her eyes widened, her lips parting slightly.
My smile faded. "What is it? What's wrong?"
She ducked her head. "N-nothing," she stuttered. She peeked up at me. "You don't laugh very often." Her fingers twirled a lock of her hair. "It's nice," she mumbled.
Someone was squeezing my chest.
I reached for her fingers, exhaling at the electrical sparks that danced up my arm. I brought them to my lips, brushing a light kiss on her palm. Her hand instantly burnt red and she blushed.
She was so sweet.
Someone cleared their throat.
I glanced up at the waitress, wearing red and purple as she looked down at us. A smile was pasted on her face. "What can I get for you today?"
My eyes went back to the menu. "The Super Chocolate Nutty Surprise milkshake, the Double Chocolate Cookie Dough, the Chocolate Vanilla Nut Sundae and a coffee, black, please."
Ellie gaped at me. "Will!" she squealed. "Don't order all of that. I can't pay, I left my purse with Gemma and the others."
I smiled. "Let me pay, please? To make up for Catherine ruining your clothes."
"Will!" she protested.
"Thank you for the order," the waitress replied. "It should be ready shortly. Enjoy your date." She turned, striding back to the front of the restaurant.
Date.
She'd said date.
Were we on a date?
My heart thumped rapidly as my eyes returned to Ellie. She was staring at me, eyes wide. Her face burnt scarlet. Groaning, she buried her face into her hands.
I smothered a chuckle. Â She was so adorable. "What's wrong?"
"This is our first date and I look absolutely horrible," she grumbled. "I mean, who gets puked on before their first date?"
Correction: Adorable was an understatement.
I laughed. Happiness flooded my body in a way I hadn't felt for a long time. Just her expressions, the way she looked at me, her slightest movement... It filled me with a happiness that I couldn't fathom. I couldn't remember the last time I'd laughed so much in one night.
She peeked at me from between her fingers. "You're so mean, Will," she mumbled. "Why are you the only one who gets to look hot?"
My heart stopped.
Did she  just call me hot?
My heart pounded, coming back to life with a vengeance.
She seemed to realize what she'd said because her face flared up again as she buried her face back into her palms. "How embarrassing," she grumbled.
I chuckled. Words hovered on my tongue as silence set in.
"I think you're adorable," I finally said.
She peeked up at me again, her lips slightly parting in surprise. Her skin hit a new shade of red.
"T-thank you." Her voice came out muffled.
I chuckled again.
I would never get over seeing her blush.
A few minutes later, the waitress returned with a tray of food. Carefully, she placed my coffee in front of me, before placing a heated plate of cookie dough, an icy sundae glass and a glass of of milkshake in front of Ellie.
The expression on her face was priceless, her face glueing to the mounds of chocolate and sugar in front of her.
I wish I could photograph this moment, the way her eyes sparkled.
"Thanks," I said to the waitress.
She nodded and left for the kitchen.
"Oh Will," Ellie breathed. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have made you buy all of this."
I grinned as my eyes watch her take in the food, unable to leave her beautiful face. "You didn't make me. I wanted to."
She still hesitated, guilt seeping into her expression.
I brushed her jaw, lifting her chin so she was looking at me. Red permeated the skin I'd touched, making my heart pound.
She blushed whenever I touched her skin.
It was rapidly becoming difficult to breathe.
"Please eat it," I asked softly.
She froze, simply staring at me with wide eyes. Finally, she nodded.
I watched as she reached for the sundae first, spooning a small bite. Her face glowed instantly. She hummed, smiling as she tasted it.
Wow.
She glanced up at me, then glanced down, her cheeks burning.
She was just too beautiful.
A phone chime went off.
Ellie frowned, pulling out her phone and swiping the screen. She bit her lip.
"It's Gemma. She wants to know where I am."
She glanced up at me. Instantly, she blushed, before dropping her gaze back to her phone.
"I'll just tell her I left early," she breathed. Her fingers typed quickly on the keys.
Her phone beeped again. After reading the text, she slipped it into her pocket.
She shot me a glance from beneath her lashes. Her face turning crimson, she returned to staring at her food.
I leaned on my palm, my eyes poring over her expression as she ate the sundae. I couldn't hide my smile. She was practically luminescent. Her skin was permeated with red. And her lips...
"I wonder what they're doing right now," she mumbled, still not meeting my gaze. "I hope Gemma and Tyler finally talked it out." She took another scoop from the sundae.
"Hmm," I replied as I sipped from my coffee.
"I think Madison and Layla were having fun. But Layla gets bored really easily." I watched as she licked her spoon, her gaze unfocused. "I'll ask them how it went tomorrow."
She blinked out of her daze, glancing at my cup of coffee. "Is that all you bought?" she asked, her voice slightly panicked. "I'm such a ditz." She pushed some of the food towards me. "Have some, please."
My lips twitched as I struggled to contain the smile stretching across my face. "It's alright."
Guilt was painted all over her face. "I can't be the only one eating."
My fingers brushed her face. "I like watching you eat," I replied, my voice quiet.
She froze again, her eyes large as she stared at me.
I smiled as she went back to jabbing at the ice cream, skin scarlet. "Is it good?"
She hummed, smiling. "Delicious! You should try some."
I leaned forward, swiping my thumb over a stray crumb that had caught on the side of her lip. She inhaled sharply, sending a shiver down my spine. My eyes locked on hers. I brought my thumb to my lips, licking off the chocolate.
"Hmm-mm, delicious."
She gaped at me, another bout of red blooming on her face. She touched the side of her lip. "I'm so embarrassing," she grumbled.
"Cute," I corrected, chuckling.
She shot me a playful glare before her face flared up again.
I pressed my fist against my lips, trying to smother my laughter.
She exhaled. "It's not fair. You're always so calm and collected around me. While I..." she waved her arms. "I'm always a bumbling idiot. This is so humiliating."
I grinned. She had no idea how nervous I was. My heart had been pounding a mile a minute from the moment I'd seen her sitting on a bench at the festival, looking at me with those beautiful blue eyes.
"Trust me," I said softly, "I'm never calm around you."
A small smile stretched over her face and then she giggled, the sound soft and feminine.
My heart stopped as the sound ricocheted through my entire body.
Ellie Kent was giggling. I'd made her giggle.
Woah.
How lucky was I that I got to see this?
I grinned back at her, feeling my heart flutter in my chest.
I heard the bell of the restaurant entrance ding, but ignored it, unable to peel my eyes away from her face.
Until I heard his voice.
"Hey, anyone here?"
I looked up. My body froze as my eyes fell on the pair that walked into the restaurant.
"What is it?" Ellie's voice.
Standing by the door was cheerleader Chelsea Simmons  and jock Justin Markson.
