Ivy's pov
Fiona and I spotted the crowd not too far from us. My heart was pounding against my chest, already knowing that this was a part of Ethan I wouldn't like very much, but something in me knew that Fiona couldn't be serious... Ethan wouldn't kill anyone just for spreading rumors would he?
That's crazy.
Reaching the crowd, we pushed our way inbetween the students, just to get a good view of the scene playing in front of us.
I stopped dead track, my eyes widening at the sight in front of me.
Ethan had a dark haired boy, whose head already had a huge gash with an ugly cut on his cheek already forming a dark bruise down to his jaw, lying flat on his belly, his hand spreading to his side, Ethan holding his wrist on the hard ground, his left leg, angling in a way that the poor guy couldn't even move, a dark look bringing down his brows. "We're gonna try this again Tom, it's appearant you don't care too much about your face."
"I didn't start it-" the boy was saying but Ethan cut him off.
"That's another lie, Tommy... I don't want to hurt you, but I'll have to, if you continue lying to me. Why did you start the rumors, have you suddenly forgotten who I am? " Ethan asked, a menacing tone to his voice, his lower lip now between his teeth, as he pinned Tom down.
The poor boy looked tired, eyes red from endless tears. "I swear on my mother, I didn't start the rumors, I only heard it around, I don't even know why there are rumors... Please." The boy sobbed.
My heart ached. Ethan didn't look like he cared.
"First of all Tom, I don't give a fuck about your mother, secondly... You're a gamer right? You love to play games, don't you?" He asked.
The boy managed a nod.
"Great, that makes this so easy." Ethan said, reaching for his back pocket, pulling out a small knife, it had a thin sharp edge.
"What is he going to do?" I asked Fiona softly.
She shook her head. "Something terrible."
The boy began to squirm beneath him. "Please- please-" Tom begged.
Ethan brought the knife to the boy's finger.
"Make this easy for yourself Tom, Why did you fucking think it was okay to use my name for fame? Hm?"
"I didn't do it goddam it! Why would I do that? I don't want fame!" The boy yelled out of frustration.
Ethan paused, a sinister smile playing on his lips. "Very well then." He said.
The next thing that happened, was too fast for my eyes to even comprehend it. Ethan placed the knife below Toms' finger nail on his thumb, digging it into his flesh and plucking out the nail.
My hand flew to my mouth to stop myself from screaming.
Blood gushed out of Tom's Thumb as he screamed.
Fiona held my arm. "Come on, you don't have to watch this."
My feet were pinned to the crowd, my heart dropping low to my stomach as goosebumps rose on my skin.
Everyone around had the same expression, and just like me, they couldn't bring themselves to walk away.
"That's One down, Nine more to go... If you had just told me the truth, you'd still be able to go back to your home with a bruised face and your Thumb intact to help you play your games." Ethan sneered, looking like the boy's state didn't concern him. "But now, that's ruined." He said, angling the knife on his index finger.
The blood pooled out of his thumb as Tom choked on his tears. "Please stop, I didn't do anything, I swear, please stop."
Ethan paused for a minute, almost as if he was trying to block out the pain in the boys voice.
I shook my head, moving to take a step forward, but Fiona pulled me back into the crowd. "You don't want to do that, trust me."
"But he's hurting him... The poor guy didn't do anything, it's obvious."
Fiona nodded. "Yes, Ethan knows that."
"What?"
"He knows Tom didn't start the rumors."
"So why the hell is he doing this?" I asked, confusion and sympathy pulling on my tear buds.
"The person who started it, is here... Ethan wants the person to come out and admit it."
"That's insane- I have to stop him, he doesn't-"
Another scream erupted from Tom's throat. "Please! Please! It hurts!"
I rushed back, just in time see Ethan pulling out the nail on Tom's Index finger.
The boys' hand was shaking in pain. "Oh fuck please, I swear this wasn't me! I swear!"
"Stop fucking lying to me Tom, I don't have much time before they come to get me for this."
"I'm not lying! How the fuck do I confess to something I didn't even do!"
Ethan placed the knife on the middle finger.
The sound of footsteps rushing down the hallway got my attention.
"Shit." Fiona muttered.
"What's going on?"
"Inc Cops."
"Ahhhh!" Tom yelled as Ethan slowly dipped the knife into his middle finger.
"I did it! Stop! I started the rumors!" A voice yelled from the crowd, an auburn head girl rushed out. "Just stop this." The girl had tears streaming down her face.
Immediately, Ethan let go of Tom, giving a sigh of relief as he got to his feet, the knife dropping from his grip as his hard eyes landed on the girl.
"Murray!" A rough deep voice sounded from the end of the hall.
I looked up to see some guys in dark blue uniforms rushing towards the scene.
"Make sure I never set my eyes on you, ever." Ethan said to the girl, his voice menancingly low. "Cause if I do, I'll forget how to use the safety on my gun."
She gulped down.
He took a step back, making a move to turn to the direction of the cops. "You guys are Nine seconds late-"
He stopped when our eyes locked.
The tug in my chest couldn't be mistaken.
The frown on his face slipped away immediately, his eyes bringing on the same look they had after he saw my parents.
I couldn't look away neither could he. I knew I had a look of question in my eyes... Cause my heart was screaming the same question, over and over again. why the hell did you do this Ethan?!
An Inc cop reached him, making him break eye contact with me as he roughly held his arm, pushing him forcefully against the lockers and cuffing his wrist.
I almost stepped forward to stop them from rough handling him, but Fiona held me back.
"Back to class! Everyone!" One of them yelled. Immediately, the crowd scattered, but I couldn't move.
Two other cops picked Tom from the ground, carrying him away.
"You're going to suffer a great deal for this Murray."
"All talk and no do, Festus." Ethan retorted.
The man fumed, his fist decking Ethan on his jaw, making him wince in pain.
A tear dropped down my eyes as they carried him away.
"What are they gonna do to him?" I asked, looking desperately at Fiona, who equally looked worried.
"Nothing, Glory always interferes."
"What if she doesn't?" I asked.
She shook her head. "If she doesn't, this would be the last time we'd ever see him."
My heart dropped so low in my stomach. "They'd hurt him?"
She sighed, leading me away from the scene. "This isn't the first time he's gotten arrested Ivy... He's done even worst things... They know him, and they hate him... They might mess him up a bit, but- he'll heal, and glory will get him out."
"I need to talk to him." I told her. "I need to ask him why he did what he did."
"They don't allow visitors Ivy, except if it's from his parents or any other blood relatives."
"Ethan doesn't have any blood relatives here in the Inc."
She shurgged with a sigh. "Yes, but Glory gets to visit."
I shook my head. "I know what he did was horrible, but- the way they handled him... I didn't like it, and I don't like the thought of them beating him up."
"Hey, it's okay... Hopefully, Glory intervenes on time." She said, rubbing her hand reassuringly down my arm. "Come on, we gotta get to class."
I didn't want to go to class, I wanted to go to him... To make sure they don't hurt him.
He didn't want to hurt Tom like that... I saw it in his eyes, but my question now is, why did he do it? What was the point of hurting the poor guy, knowing he wasn't even guilty of anything?
Why?
__
I had gotten rid of my jacket a moment ago, leaving me with just a black spaghetti strapped blouse, as I stepped into the training room with Fiona and Roman at my sides.
It was a large empty space with a tall shelf lined with training sticks.
Students were on every corner doing little exercises, some talking, some just on their TCom.
"This is PE in Inc high." Fiona stated.
"Fighting your fellow students?" Roman voiced out.
"Yeah, but it's fun, if you win the fight."
I sighed. "I don't think I'm up for this." I heard myself say.
Fiona looked over at me. "Are you still worried about Ethan?"
"Of course I am. It's been almost three hours. I just can't help but think about him... I can't control where my thoughts go. I want to stop, but I can't." I sighed.
"I'm worried about him too, but trust me, he'll be fine." She said.
"Yeah."
"I so glad I didn't get to witness that." Roman voiced out.
"It's not as bad as you heard it Roman, people exaggerate."
"Still... Removing somebody's finger nail? That's gotta hurt."
"He'll heal in a matter of days." Fiona said.
"Hey beautiful," Ralph's voice resounded from behind me.
He placed a hand on my shoulder, leading me away from Roman and Fiona. "You're tense." He noted.
I sighed, shrugging his arm off my shoulder. "Maybe a little." I turned to face him."
"Your first day at Inc high has been horrible so far I guess."
"You have no idea."
He smiled, "One minute." He said, moving over to the shelf to bring down two training sticks.
He walked back, tossing one to me.
I caught it. "You wanna fight?"
"It's the only thing that'd make you feel a little better."
I smiled. "Kicking your ass would make me feel a lot better."
"I'd love to see you try, Fisher." He returned the smile with a smirk.
We moved in circle, eyes never leaving each other. From the corner of my eyes, I saw students beginning to notice us.
He attacked first, swinging his stick to my waist level. I didn't see this coming so he got me hard on my waist.
"Study your partner, just like they study you."
"Noted." I said, charging towards him. He blocked my fast attack, I struck at his chest but his stick came right in front of him. My weapon hitting his hard, making a loud clank.
He pushed, making me stumble back.
"Where's you balance Fisher?" He asked.
I gritted my teeth, rushing towards him, my stick flying to his jaw, but he blocked it, in a way that the other end of his weapon, slapped hard at my lower back.
I winced, moving back.
He smirked. "Focus."
The grip on my stick tightened as we moved in circles, his smirk never leaving his lips.
I moved this time, throwing my stick in his direction. He blocked every attack I made, the sound of our weapons hitting each other filled the training hall.
In a swift movement, his weapon reached under my feet, hitting my leg in a motion that made me stumble to the ground with a harsh thud.
He laughed. "Epic fall?"
"Fuck you." I said, getting on my feet and throwing my stick to the other side of the hall. "Fuck the stick."
He smiled, his teeth hooking his lower lip to stop the smile from spreading any further.
If I wasn't so angry right now, I would have appreciated his good looks for a minute.
"Okay." He threw his stick away. Flexing the muscles on his fist. "Fuck the stick."
Adrenaline rushed through my veins.
All eyes were on us but I could care less.
I charged towards him, aiming for a punch on his jaw, he moved to block it, but I angled the blow to his stomach. My fist connecting with his abs.
He groaned, stopping my next blow by twisting my arm, my back slamming against his hard chest. "That hurt." He said harshly to my ear, but I could hear the smile on his voice.
"Sorry Cinderella." I said, my elbow hitting his ribs.
He let go of me immediately. A smile played on the side of my lips.
He stood up right, his eyes raking my body from head to toe. "You wanna play dirty, Fisher?"
I shrugged.
He smirked, raising his hand and moving his index finger, motioning me to come at him.
I threw a punch his way, but he dodged it, his hand gripping my waist, and leg, coming to swipe mine off the floor.
We both stumbled to the ground. His legs tackling mine to remain still. With my free hand, I tried to send a elbow blow to his face, but he was quick, almost as if he'd seen the move before I made it.
He gripped both my wrists, pinning my hand to either side of my head.
I laid there beneath him, breathing like I just finished running a marathon.
His minty breath fanned my face as he brought his face closer to mine.
I tried to move but couldn't. "Never fight with anger, you'll lose your focus." He said, his gaze dropping to my lips, then back to my eyes. "I'm a little impressed." He added, a smirk playing on his lips.
He released me, getting to his feet, hand extending to help me up.
I took it. He pulled me up to my feet, his eyes never leaving mine.
"Feeling better?" He asked, hesitantly letting go of my hand.
"A little bit." I smiled. "Thanks."
He shrugged a small smile on his lips as he walked backwards before turning to the direction of some guys.
I sighed.
"I sense some serious tension between the two of you."
I jumped, turning to see a curious smile on Caramel's face.
"What?" I asked, raising a brow.
"There a little chemistry there... I can sense it... That fight thing was pretty intense, too much body contact."
I rolled my eyes. "He was just trying to make me feel better... There's no chemistry, whatsoever."
She raised her brow.
"Stop, seriously."
"Okay, that doesn't mean I won't keep an eye out on the two of you. Ethan might hate my guts but I don't hate his, I wouldn't want to see him hurt by two of the most important people in his life." She said, walking away before I could even give a reply.
What the hell is she talking about?

What do you think of this chapter?
Do you think there's any chemistry between Ralph and Ivy? Or is Caramel just being extra?
Do you think Glory would intervene in Ethan's arrest?
Till the next update, bye beauties!
