Jude was really disappointed at her brother. She thought he already corrected his error and made a fresh start, however, her brother didnât change at all and acted even worse.
She completely gave up any expectation on her brother and knew he was beyond remedy.
Maximilian couldnât figure out why Jude was unwilling to catch him and reminded, âYou can control him for a few days.â
Jude petted on her forehead when hearing this and blamed herself for not thinking of this method. She immediately took action.
Her brother kept on struggling, however, it didnât work at all and he was taken away by Judeâs colleagues in the end.
Jude finally realized Maximilian helped her a lot and said to him with shame, âSorry for involving you in.
It really costs you a great deal of money.â
âNever mind, just take this as my birthday present for auntie.â Maximilian smiled.
The middle-aged woman blushed when hearing his words and never expected he was so good at making others happy.
Because the middle-aged man was in a good mood, he opened a bottle of good wine and shared it with Maximilian. Soon, he became drunk and almost said impolite words to Maximilian.
Maximilian pretended to smile and felt speechless to his action. Maximilian was good at drinking.
However, the wine was in high degree and he had drunk a lot, making his cheek become a little flushed.
The middle-aged woman suddenly stood up and said, âYou can have dinner together. I have to take him to the bedroom.â
Actually, she wanted to create an opportunity for her daughter, meanwhile, she continued to tease her daughter and said, âWell, Mr. Lee. Itâs late now. How about spending a night here?â
âMom, but we donât have spare room.â Jude couldnât help complaining.
The middle-aged woman smiled and said, âHe can sleep in your bedroom. Itâs a normal thing between friends.â
Jude couldnât help showing the whites of her eyes to her mother. What kind of logic she had? She was simply friends with Maximilian, instead of romantic friends. How could they sleep together?
Jude wanted to say more but was held up by her motherâs gaze. Her mother continued saying, âItâs late at night. Donât think too much. Our place is far from the hotel and you cannot drive. Well, you canât let the guest sleep on the sofa.â
Hearing this, Jude didnât know how to rebut. Actually, she really had a mixed feeling towards Maximilian. She was fond of him but was not sure how he felt about her.
Only Jude and Maximilian were left in the living room when the middle-aged man and woman got back to their room. They were awkward and looked at each other. They didnât know what to do next because what happened now went beyond their imagination.
Jude tried to keep calm and said, âYou can sleep in my room, but remind that you canât do anything to me.â
Maximilian replied with a smile, âYes.â
Jude finally led him to her room. No man had come to her bedroom before except her father.
Jude was nervous and worried Maximilian would talk about her bedroom. When thinking about Maximilian was drunk, she was also afraid that he couldnât control himself and did something to her.
She got more and more nervous as she thought more and didnât know what to do.
Maximilian looked around and didnât judge her bedroom at all. He tried to be calm to avoid Jude from knowing his thought.
Actually, he was surprised to see Judeâs room was in pink shade. He always thought she was a cool girl and never expected she was also a little girl deep inside.
Maximilian asked, âWell, do you have any other quilt?â
It took him three times of asking until Jude finally reacted. She looked at Maximilian in astonishment and never expected he would say such a thing. She came back to consciousness and pointed at the wardrobe behind him.
Maximilian turned around and picked a plain quilt, saying with a smile, âGood night.â
Jude rolled her eyes and thought Maximilian couldnât wait any longer to sleep with her. When she thought he was going to put the quilt on her bed, she was shocked by his action next.
Maximilian carried the quilt out. Jude couldnât believe what happened in front of her. What was going on?
âWhere are you going?â Jude couldnât help asking.
Maximilian replied, âI am going to sleep on the sofa.â
He knew Jude didnât trust him and the reason why she led him to her room was because of her motherâs advice. He didnât want to take advantage of othersâ difficulties.
Hence, he really respected Judeâs idea. Jude became confused when hearing Maximilianâs words. She never expected Maximilian would do such a thing and couldnât believe it was real.
She then shook her head and thought Maximilian was trying to prod her into action. She remained silent, waiting what would happen next. However, Maximilian left and was ready to sleep on the sofa with quilt.
âWell, are you going to sleep here?â Jude asked.
She suddenly felt Maximilian was a real gentleman by respecting her. Unlike someone else, he was only a wolf under sheepâs fur.
Maximilian replied calmly, âYeah, thatâs why I carried the quilt out.â
Jude didnât know what to say when hearing his words. She was giving him an evident hint of inviting her to sleep with her. How could he cannot figure it out, or was it because he simply wanted to refuse her?
She became doubtful for her appearance. Was it because she was not beautiful and attractive enough?
She was confused and didnât know how to answer. She could feel Maximilian was different from men she had met before. She thought Maximilian was only a ladiesâ man on that day. Now she finally changed her mind. Maybe he was simply controlling him on that day.
âYouâd better sleep in my bedroom, or my parents will think I am abusing you.â Jude gritted her teeth and became flushed. How she wished she could finish the words quickly!
