A familiar old figure arrived at the Dragon Palace in the Eastern Sea, and it was none other than the old beggar himself.

Elder Tianwu was quite renowned, and although the Old Dragon King didn’t have too many dealings with him and had never been tricked by him, he was still very courteous towards Elder Tianwu.

The old beggar looked anxious, as if he had discovered some major secret he was eager to share, but upon seeing Long Xue beside Li Xiaobai, he suddenly calmed down. His beady little eyes gleamed as he looked her up and down, as if he had stumbled upon a precious treasure.

The old beggar teased her with a rascally grin as he picked at his dirty toes.

Long Xue said with a sweet smile, almost capturing the old beggar’s soul.

“Ahem, senior, what brings you here on such urgent business?”

Li Xiaobai pulled Long Xue behind him and asked with a smile.

This old man was never serious, his sly eyes even peeking at his own wife; if he weren’t certain the man was just joking, he would have gone up and smacked him already.

“Oh right, the old beggar has come with something important to discuss with you all.” His expression suddenly turned serious.

“Is it about the altar?” Li Xiaobai asked.

“Exactly. As you all may have seen, yesterday the five altars in the east, west, south, north, and center all merged into the void, opening a crack. That fissure is likely to be the portal through which the people from the Upper Realm will descend in two days.”

“But the altar in the Vice Leader’s hands only formed a Spiritual Power Vortex on the frontier and didn’t merge into the void to create a crack!”

“Vice Leader suspects that this altar is special, likely left behind quietly by that mysterious entity. The elites of the Upper Realm are not aware of this.”

The old beggar took a sip of tea, dropping a bombshell.

“What? Could it be that this altar is privately owned?”

“This means, if we can get in touch with that person, couldn’t we possibly get some news from the Upper Realm?”

The Old Dragon King stood up excitedly, his face showing some agitation.

“I see, no wonder of all the altars, only that one had contact with the cultivators of the Lower Realm; turns out it’s privately owned.

“This is our chance. The people of the Upper Realm don’t know about the existence of this sixth altar; we can use it as a breakthrough point and go have a look first!”

Li Xiaobai nodded in agreement.

“That’s also what Vice Leader thinks. He has come today to invite us over for a visit to communicate with that mysterious entity,” said the old beggar.

“Let’s bring along the Kraken as well, and all of us will take a look together. If we can find out about the Upper Realm elites’ cultivation level, that would be fantastic,” Li Xiaobai said quickly, emphasizing the urgency, every second counted.

There was a Teleportation Formation previously set up by Li Xiaobai in the frontier, and all they needed to do was put another one inside the Dragon Palace in the Eastern Sea; this way, they could travel back and forth through the formation.

As they watched him draw various formation patterns on the ground, everyone looked puzzled, not understanding what he was doing.

“Husband, what are you doing?” Long Xue asked.

“I’m inscribing a Teleportation Formation,” Li Xiaobai said without raising his head.

Long Xue’s rosy lips parted slightly, forming a surprised shape, not because she was amazed at Li Xiaobai’s extensive knowledge and talents, but because she couldn’t for the life of her imagine that the scribbles on the ground were a Formation.

This was clearly just a circle made with a few bricks; forget about any runic charm, it didn’t even have a proper formation pattern. Could this thing really teleport people?

The rest of them were also stunned, finding it hard to believe that the childlike doodles could actually be a Teleportation Formation.

“Boy, what trick are you playing? If your thing can teleport, I’ll stand on my head and wash my hair,” Kraken jeered from a distance. He had just received the message and arrived, only to see this scene—in his view, the thing had not even a hint of Spiritual Power and was a pure waste of time.

“Ahem, Prince Consort, let’s just fly over there. The border isn’t far for us; we could arrive in the time it takes to drink a cup of tea,” the Old Dragon King said with a rather stiff smile, clearly not trusting the suspicious “Formation” before his eyes.

The old beggar didn’t say much. He knew Li Xiaobai had many secrets; things like Huazi or the bathhouse couldn’t be judged by common sense, and this Formation in front of them was likely the same.

“The world laughs at me for being madly eccentric, I laugh at the world for being unable to see through.”

“Ladies and gentlemen, please come inside!”

A few minutes later, Li Xiaobai had inscribed the Formation. To call it a Formation, though, was to say he’d just used bricks to form a circle. This Formation was a product of the System; it didn’t need to follow the conventional rules of Formation design, as long as the bricks were arranged according to the blueprint, it would work.

“Can this thing really teleport?”

“Let’s just give it a try.”

Everyone stepped into the Formation with skepticism, and Li Xiaobai took out a top-quality Spirit Stone to activate it.

In an instant, dazzling white light emanated from underneath, and everybody only felt a blur before their eyes. When their vision cleared, the surrounding environment had shifted dramatically, undergoing a radical change.

“We’re actually at the border?”

“Everyone, we have arrived at our destination, let’s go,” Li Xiaobai said with a beaming smile, draping his arm around Long Xue’s shoulders.

This was the main city of the borderlands. When they arrived in the deeper parts of the borderland, several City Lords were already waiting there.

A huge Spiritual Power Vortex loomed and hovered in the void, its interior space now stable and tranquil. As long as they wished, they could now follow the pathway into the world on the other side.

“Miss Xue’er has become even more charming and beautiful. Indeed, being married and nurtured by a man makes a difference,” Liuren commented with a light smile, looking Long Xue up and down.

“Senior, please stop teasing. What’s the status of the events, and have we made contact with the mysterious person on the other end?” Li Xiaobai asked.

Liuren shrugged his shoulders, and before he could speak, a voice suddenly emanated from the vortex: “Very well, it seems everyone is here. So next, listen carefully to my commands!”
