''What are you doing. YOU SCARED ME.'' I bend down to help the person up.
''Really, than how did I end up on the ground? If you were truly the terrified one.'' Tolan moaned. He held his hand over his mouth than coughed. ''Did you just chipped my tooth.'' He said in disbelief.
''I did what ?''I started to panic. I got on my knees to check. It was indeed true. ''That kick was suppose to knock out at least, 3 teeth. Either you have very strong gums, or I need to work on my kicks.''
He looked up at me in disbelief. ''That's what you are more, concerned about? Not babe are you okay?''
I stood up and walked towards my front door.'' The same babe that said he was going to call, but didn't or the same babe, that left me during lunch or wait the same, babe that I did not see at all after lunch. YOU DID NOT EVEN SAY BYE.'' I unlocked the door and slammed it in his face.
''Wait , are you mad.'' He walks through the door, and is now standing in my living room.'' No, can't you see I am doing acrobats, and weaving a magical basket.Of course I am upset.'' I walked up to my room. I close my livingroom door behind me. I heard the door I shut open, and I heard footsteps coming closer.
'' I am sorry...wait did you kick me on purpose?'' As I entered my room, Tolan was still on my tail. I grab my towel in my room and entered the bathroom, I locked it. I felt dirty I needed a shower.
''I wish it was on purpose. If it was than IÂ would've, have knocked your head off your body.'' I yelled over the bathroom door.'' Look I am going to sit in your living room. If you are done showering and you still don't want to talk to me I will leave. I am not going to force you to talk to me. ''He yelled over the bathroom door

I put on my pink sweats , ready for a fight and went down stairs. ''Before I start I know you must be wondering. What happened with our date plans.'' He said as I sat down across from him on the couch.
''No, not really I was thinking of ways I could punch you to the ground.'' I said deadpanned tone of voice. ''You are really funny your sarcasm gets me every time.'' He commented while laughing. I waited for his laughter to die down. ''I am dead serious.'' I stated while, he shifted uncomfortably.
''Look I would firstly like to apologize for that. I went to the organizer he said we only have the place tomorrow at 7. I was not even at school. I left after lunch. I was dead wrong for not talking to you and leaving you at lunch. I am so sorry.''
''You can't treat me any type of way. Show up to my door and expect me to jump into your arms, as if nothing happened. If we want this relationship to work you need to understand that. Just like how you need respect , I need that too. Don't make me look stupid, because that is not appreciated.'' I roared at him.
''Again I am deeply and utterly sorry. Baby you my first girlfriend, I am still learning and navigating this relationship thing.'' He stood up and came and crouched in front of me'' can I please hold you?'' I nodded my head he gave me a kiss on my forehead. IÂ leaned back on his chest ,I was listening to his heartbeat.
''Can I ask you something.'' I still leaned in his chest inhaling his musky cologne ''How long did, you google and rehearse those lines.''
He pulled me back to his chest ''baby don't worry about that.''
I busted out laughing, he joined me. We turned on the TV we were watching some football game. I was not entertained. So I was thinking, about outfits I would wear next week.
''Are you mad that we don't get to, go out on the day of our anniversary?'' His question interrupted my thoughts.
"Well a part of me is. But what can I do, we still going to do something tomorrow." I suggested to him.
I walked towards the fridge. ''Want something?''
Tolan quickly gave me a glance '' Water would be fine. I thought you would be more sad about this.'' I walked back and gave him his bottled water. When he took the bottle I saw something, on his wrists. That caught my attention.
''Most girls would have freaked out and an accused me oof, not caring about our first anniversary.'' He spoke up
I sat on the couch. ''Well the most important thing, was for us to spend time together. It did not matter how we did it.'' He took my hand as I said these things.
''Besides Colton's back in town. My family's having dinner with him tonight.'' Tolan shot his head to look at me.'' How do you know him and why are, you guys having dinner with him.'' He was rubbing the back of his neck.
''Wait are you jealous?'' I teased. ''Why would, I be jealous. My girlfriend was planning to have dinner with an ex-star athlete from our rival team.'' He scoffed.
''Good cause that would, be stupid if you were. Cause you are the only one I want.'' I tried to lean on him but he sat up straight .I sucked in a breath ''He is my brother's best friend, even though they played against each other. They went to the same middle school. He is studying in Seattle. So he came down to visit him. Not me. Oh and he is staying with us. I told you all I know''
''Cool'' he stated. He started to fidget with the rope, I notice earlier on his arm. "I have been meaning to ask you about that. Who gave that piece of string to you. Why do you never take it off.''
He raised his arm to look at it  ''Oh a friend. Over time it lost it's meaning a long time ago.''
''Oh so would you take it off if you got a better offer.'' He pondered on my question, for a minute. ''Well yeah, if it had no meaning then, why would it suddenly have any meaning now. So yeah, I would trade it in for a newer one in a heartbeat.'' I nodded my head, getting happy about an idea I have.
'Thump' 'Thump'
Tolan and I shared a look of did you hear that. ''Do you have a cat or dog or something upstairs.'' He asked. I shake my head vigorously to say no. Tolan shot up to his feet, and I followed behind him. ''You can sit down I got this.'' He tried to reassure me.
''Really so he can come strangle me when I am all alone. I know, you know I am more than capable of coming with .......I mean look at your tooth.'' I reassured him. He rolled his eyes ''Am I ever going hear the end of this?''
I took a bat and walked in front of him, ''Only if you ever try to undermine me.'' I heard him suck in his breath.
We heard it again it was coming from my room. The hairs at the back of my neck stood up. I took a sharp breath. Tolan took the opportunity grabbed the bat out of my hands jumped in front of me and opened the door.
''What are you doing here?'' I heard a familiar voice said.'' What am I DOING? YOU ARE THE ONE COMING THROUGH THE WINDOW?' 'He said with a lack of belief. Window? What is going on?
