''Honey, come down here.'' I walked down to the living room.  ''Yes mom.'' I saw her searching around the room ,I guess looking a round for something . ''Baby I am so sorry, I was called into work .. I know you must be so disappointed .That I am not going to meet Tolan.''
''Mom you are a dentists, and it is 8 o'clock . Who needs their teeth fixed that bad?'' My mother weaved me off '' Oh it's just some papers that need sorting.''
''Sure, sure.'' She walked towards me  "look you must hate me right now.''  I shook my head ''Nope I am fine.''
''This must've meant so much to you.''
''No not really, we have not been dating that long.''
''Baby I promise you that this will be greatly beneficial, to us.'' She looked at me ''Why aren't you dressed, yet?''
''Oh Tolan has no concept of time, he is always late. Because if he says at 8. That's the time he leaves his house. If you don't mind, I need to do my hair.''
''Okay Darling, I will be back. At 1 or 2. If your brother and Colton, come back from the gym tell them?''

''So this is the finished product.'' I stood up and gave Lia a turn, we were on face time
'' I love the hair and outfit, but remove the Smokey eye for a cat eye.'' We chat and laugh while I was getting ready.''
As I was redoing my eye. "Did you tell your dad about the Dragon Ball?'' she shyly asked through the phone.
"No."
"Why?"
I was silent for a moment, I stopped doing my eye and looked myself in the mirror.
"You don't have to answer if you don't want to." She said in a serene tone.
''NO.'' I took in a shaky breath ''It's simply hard to reach him , because he is so....busy.'' I spoke in a gloomy tone of voice." But the good thing is Arden always contacts him at the right time.....he always responds when he contacts him.'' My eyes are starting to sting for some reason. "Anyways call you back later. Bye Lia.'' I said in a fake chirpy voice, I heard Lia protest, but I ended it anyway.
I tried to shake the sadness off while I continued to do my eye.
'DING DONG'
I checked my face in the mirror, I did a sleek down ponytail and the cat eye Lia suggested. The eye did not come out perfect, but he is not going to notice it.
Put on my black strip heels and grabbed my red clutch.
''Hello ..wow you look stunning .'' I heard him stutter , was Tolan nervous.'' You look good .''He had on ;White denim jacket, black T-shirt , jeans and black combat boots . ''I am a lucky guy Valentine day, came twice for me this year. It is better the second time around.''
''Wait , I forgot your gift.'' As I was walking towards my room where the gifts were.
I took his hand and led him towards the kitchen.'' Give me your car keys, and stay here."Â He gave me a confused look ''One of your gifts is big, and I want to put it in the back of your car.'' He did as I asked.
I placed the gifts in the car. I was about to walk away when I heard a ring coming from the front seat. Saw Lydia 14 miss calls. I know I shouldn't have, but I picked up the phone.
''Dang it's locked.'' My lucky day. Think how can I get into his phone.
I pushed Lydia and the phone, to the back of my head, for now.
Walked into the kitchen, looked at him and chirped. ''Let's go."

''Little bit further'' His hot breath brushed against my skin. He was busy leading me towards the date venue. He tried to blindfold me, but I shot that down faster than a bolt leaving a gun. He was not about to ruin my makeup. So, I just closed my eyes all the way there.
''Okay now.'' I opened my eyes and all the air was knocked out of my lungs. As I looked around. I was in awe of the beauty. I knew he made so much effort. The was candles leading towards a green tent, that was illuminated from the outside.
We walked towards the entrance of the tent .The tent was decorated with fairy lights, there was also a mini screen T.V in there .There were ton of snacks; Oreo's, gummy bears, sour worms, and tons of other candies. I turned to look at him , he was holding white roses.
My eyes started to sting ,and I started sniffling .So I started to fan my face with my hand. ''Hey do you not like it or ?''He had a panicked look on his face.
'' This. looks. Amazing. '' I said between kisses. "BABY, you going to ruin my make-up, with tears. This is just wow." I took the white flowers, from him.
He has this smile on his face brighter than a bulb. " I got us the Just go with it movie.'' He sounded like a 5 year old, showing off his toys.
He picked something up....a DVD and he pops in into a DVD player.
"Where.. did you get that.'' I observed with amusement.
"I know a guy." he stated smugly. I rolled my eyes.
This just keeps getting better and better.  "Wait why did you choose this movie?''
'' Because you like Jennifer Aniston, and I like Adam Sandler. Babe it's not rocket science.''
"Is this Smoke-wood park?'' I asked as, I looked around.
"Yeah it's the park, where I asked you out. Smoke-wood park''
I was still in awe of the whole set up .''Who helped you with this ?''he switched on the screen.
''Bowie helped me, apparently Ace was busy .'' He was rolling his eyes.'' So should we start the movie?'' We sat there and laughed through the movie , he was feeding me snacks and vice versa and we both took a bunch of pictures and videos.
"Let's go outside and look at the stars, now that movie the movie is done." He suggested I nodded in agreement.
He started to open up about his family ,he was staring into space as he was talking.
''My Dad has 2 other sons 1 is in college, the other one has a job. I am my mother's only child. He only started being active, in my high school years. They going got married 2 years ago. At times I just wished... you know?'' We were both lying down, I placed my hand over his chest. To show him I knew, what he meant.
I had more questions on his family life. But I didn't ask because he was still staring into space literally.
So I decided to talk'' Well my mother is a dentist, she is one of the strongest woman I know. She graduated from dentist school two years ago. Me and my brother a super tight. No one can say nothing bad about him, to me or around me about him.''
''What about your dad?'' Even though Tolan might make me feel safe and appreciated. I shook my head'' I know we might have a moment, but I am not ready to talk about that.''
''Don't you trust me .'' He questioned, I took his hand. '' I am not ready please, understand. Just because we like each other does not mean, I owe you every detail of my life.'' He sucked in his bottom lip and looked away. He didn't press further.
''Okay, let's open the gifts. Me first." I knew he was deflecting. "Okay.'' I played along.
''Here. '' He passed me a large pink gift box and a large gift bag. I opened the box there was gold kickboxing gloves.
Pink is my favorite color ,but these are gold gloves.'' Bowie helped me pick them out. Since he is a fighter....or was one.''
I opened the pink gift '' Wow... a bedazzled cup . I have been wanting one of these for minute.''
''To be honest I did not know that, I saw it on Amazon and decided to get you one.'' I started to sniffle ,so I rubbed my nose. One more surprise he took a box out of his pocket. There was a  beautiful heart shaped neckless.
''I want to give you this neckless, to show you my commitment to you. I absolutely adore and admire you.'' I could not fight the tears anymore. ''Oh gosh my make up.'' He just gave me a toothy smile.
''THANK YOU .....'' I gave him a long kiss. ''Wait here let me get your gift .'' I walked off and returned , when I came back, I saw him on his phone. He put it down immediately.
'' I feel bad cause ,I don't think my gifts will live up to yours.'' I gave him a gym bag. ''I have been wanting a gym bag. For months now, but I never gotten around to buy one thanks."
''Yeah I thought I would get you a bag for your first game, for good luck. Open it, check inside.'' He opened the bag there was a grey bracelet inside. I could not read his expression. He was rubbing his mouth. "What do you not like it?'' I asked him
''NO, I mean what do you, want me to do with this.'' I gave him a look of confusion'' to wear it of course. SINCE you said that string has no value. I am giving you something with value. And better looking."Â I cheerfully spoke, while he was rubbing his jaw.
''Oh ..um thanks Bree.'' He gave me a kiss on the cheek. I didn't question him because I knew he would downplay it.
"It's getting chilly, let's go in the tent." I explained. "Yeah, sure.'' he agreed. We got inside the tent. Than an idea jumped in my head.
''Hey can I get your phone to call Arden, my phone is dead.'' My phone was not dead, it was an excuse to check his phone. ''Sure I will be outside with this blanket.'' He stood up and walked out of the tent. He unlocked this phone, passed it to me, and walked out.
I quickly went through his calls. The last person that called him was Ace. I stood there staring at the screen in disbelief. Either I imagined the fourteen missed calls, or he deleted them. The more important question was why?

The word count was really getting up there so .There is still so much I want to add to their date, so I made a part 2.The pics of their gifts ,will be in the next chapter.
