"Hey (Y/N)! Get your head out of that archaic datapad and come have fun with me!" Smokescreen yelled. I sighed and closed the novel I was reading and gave him a disapproving look.
"They aren't archaic datapad, it's called a book." I said, rubbing my sore eyes. Optimus looked up at Smokescreen with a blank look, the mech was also drowning himself in a story. I gave the Prime a softcopy of The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes and we were reading in silence, enjoying one another's company before my charge's interruption brought us out back into reality.
Giving Optimus an apologetic smile, I promised to continue our quiet session later and he nodded, waving at me. Running towards my charge, I pushed up my glasses and sighed again, wondering what on earth is he planning this time.
"What do you have in mind, Smokescreen?" I said, hugging my hardcover version of the Sherlock novel close to my chest.
"Well, Miko said something about a movie night and sleepover-"
"Ohoho- no! No fragging way I'm letting them stay overnight here!" Ratchet butted in, disagreeing with the idea. Optimus came by and lean down, voicing his opinions in this.
"Why not? They are a part of the team, Ratchet? We should welcome them if they wish to stay longer; take it as a bonding time with their charges." Optimus offered. Ratchet scoffed and turned back, grumbling in his breath. Optimus shook his helm at his oldest friend's attitude but he knew better, the mech mean well for the team.
He's just grumpy; period.
"So, what are we going to watch? Are we talking horror nights or comedy fun?!" Miko said, leaning against the railing. She saw the whole commotion along with the rest of the team.
"No horrors please, Raf is still young and I don't think I can handle them either." I said, chuckling dryly. My little brother agreed with me, nodding his head eagerly. I remember staying up for a few nights trying to calm the poor child after our older brother played 'Annabelle' a few months ago, and the memory is still quite fresh for the both of us.
"Awww! Come on, don't spoil the fun! I brought Annabelle 2 just for this occasion!" Miko continued, whining a little as she tugged on my arm. I gave her a small shake of my head, still firm on my decision.
"Please, go ahead without us. I'll continue reading my novel. Optimus, care to return on where we left out?" I said, already turning away. Jack grabbed my hands, trying to make me stay.
"How about...Marvel?" he said, eyes shining with hope. I let out a stifled laugh and the boy knew he got me. I am a massive fan for Marvel and he used it to his advantage.
"Which movie?" I asked, sighing.
"Endgame." He said, flashing a cheeky smile.
"Fine." I relented. Optimus raised an optic ridge at me, confusion clearly written on his face.
"Endgame?" he asked.
"Avengers Endgame, the fourth and final movie of the Avengers series." I explained. Smokescreen was looking at the promo pictures and whined loudly, catching our attention.
"Aww man! They look so cool! Why can't we have one like this ourselves?" he said, pouting. I shook my head at the mech's antics.
"Robots in disguise, my dear charge. Have you forgotten about that?" I said, teasing the mech.
"No, no! But it wouldn't hurt to play a role in this. I mean, look at this...Tony! Man, he got them sweet thrusters for a human!"
"They aren't real."
"Yeah... WAIT WHAT!?" He yelled, snapping his helm at me in a flash.
"These are just CGIs and props; not real. It's a science fiction movie." I explained, helping Miko to set up the pillow fort she oh-so insistently wanted.
"Besides, I am bias with you guys. I mean, Cybertronian tech is WAY more advanced." I said, earning smiles from the team.
"Atta girl." Ratchet said, nudging me softly with his digits and I laughed. Jack rolled his eyes and spoke up.
"If any Marvel fans get hold of this, you're going to start a war." Jack said, snickering along with Raf.
"Yeah sis, they're going to attack you with all the space travelling, talking raccoons and trees, cryo-freezed man and many more!" Raf added.
"Good thing that this is a Transformer fic then." I muttered softly.
"What?" the team asked.
"Nothing! Now, come on! Get it started!" I said, nestling into the fluffy pillows. The Bots had to bend down and watch, which I felt bad for them.
"Hey, activate your holoforms!" I said. Miko and the team nodded along, casting hopeful glances at the team.
They sighed in unison but did as told, even Optimus turned his on and sat by the far corner, watching quietly. Smokescreen sat beside me and I blushed, not used to the close contact. The Bots don't usually use their holoforms unless necessary, so I guess this count as one?
The movie started and Miko passed me a bag of chips, eyes still trained on the movie. I leaned against Smokescreen's shoulders, enjoying his warmth as the film continued.
We were all very much focused on the movie, fascinated by various fights and storyline...until Ratchet ruined the moment.
"There's a talking raccoon." He deadpanned. Miko shushed him, which annoyed the medic even more.
"This does not make sense! Why must someone die in order to get some petty stone?" he grumbled. Optimus voiced out his thoughts too.
"I didn't get the reference. Why did the tiny human commented about the Captain's ass?" he asked innocently. I choked on my Sprite as I laughed along with the kids.
"Please, you don't wanna know." Jack said, snickering. Optimus optics went dim for a moment before nodding.
"Maybe it is for the best I don't know then." He mused.
"On your left."
"Oh scrap! Shut up everyone! Yes, yes! BOOYAH!!" Smokescreen said, cheering as all the Avengers assembled.
"Avengers...assemble."
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!" Smokescreen cheered along with the rest of the team...except Optimus. He's still a Prime after all.
"Oh, hell yes! The tiny guy is big!" Bulkhead said, smashing his fist when Ant-man went straight on with the Leviathan.
"Check that out! Tony and his wife teaming up!" Arcee said, impressed with Pepper's move. The team's expressions faltered when Wanda went straight first with Thanos.
"Oh, she's fragged." Smokescreen and Bulkhead muttered at the same time, watching the purple titan getting his ass handed to him by a mere human.
"Damn girl! Go get him!" Arcee said, rooting for the Scarlet Witch.
"Rain fire!" Thanos said, and rain fire it did.
"Oh no..." Ratchet breathed out, momentarily forgetting about his annoyance.
"Wait, something's up...OH FRAG YEAHHHHHH!!" The team cheered again when Captain Marvel appeared.
"Oh heck yes, girl power!" Arcee commented. Her smile widened when a group of female Avengers assembled, making the scene even more badass.
:-Hurry, hurry! Get the damn gloves to the van already!-: Bumblebee beeped, optics trained on the hectic scene.
"AWW YESS! Tony and Peter's reunion!!!" Jack said, fist-bumping with Miko.
"Oh snap, shush everyone! It's Doctor Strange's turn for action now!" I said, marvelled at the Sorcerer's Supreme power against the massive waves.
"No..." Optimus spoke, eyes widen with horror when the van exploded. The fight with Captain Marvel played out and he gritted his teeth, hoping that the lady would win. She was actually...until the slagger took the Power Stone and Knocked her off.
"Oh fuck, I'm not ready..." I said, leaning against Smokescreen even more, preparing tissues as I saw Doctor Strange lifted up his fingers. He looked at me with confusion for a brief moment before turning back to the screen.
"No!" the team said in unison when Thanos tried to snap. The mad titan failed, and that's when I sucked in a harsh breath. Tony got the stone and looked at Thanos.
"And I, am...Ironman." SNAP!
.
.
.
"NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!" The team wailed, even Optimus closed his optics and looked down, feeling a little emotional towards the movie.
I was sobbing horribly when Pepper placed a kiss onto Tony face as he let out his last breath. Miko was crying into Bulkhead arms, the latter sneezing a few times and crying too. Arcee wiped her tears and willed herself to be strong, but she broke when the helmet scene played out and she heard Ironman's speech to the team.
"I love you 3000..." Jack said, blowing his nose into the tissue. Ratchet rubbed his optics and looked away too, sadden about little Morgan's fate with her father.
:-Hey, wait! Captain's giving back the stone!-: Bumblebee pointed towards the screen. His expressions returned back into sadness when they saw the handsome Captain had grown old.
"STEVE, I THOUGHT YOU WERE WITH BUCKY TILL END OF THE LINE?!" I yelled along with Jack, both of us staring at the screen incredulously. The scene played on and we both saw Thor giving his kingdom to Valkyrie and joined the Guardians of the Galaxy.
"Man, we would've met the Guardians if they were real. Heck, I'm sure Ratchet would love to have a chat with the raccoon." Smokescreen joked, trying to lighten up the mood.
"Keyword: Raccoon. How in Primus 's name is that...thing able to talk!?" Ratchet snapped.
"Movie plot." Me and the humans said together.
The movie ended and I still haven't recovered from Tony's death, sniffling loudly as I weeped into Smokescreen's embrace.
"I hate this..." I sobbed. Miko and the gang had already calmed down but they were still sad about his death. Optimus was about to say something wise when Smokescreen held up a servo, giving the leader an assuring smile to let him handle this situation.
"Hey (Y/N), his death wasn't in vain, you know?" Smokescreen said, trying to cheer me up.
I bawled even louder.
"Why it gotta be him!? What about Morgan!?" I weeped, tugging his arms. The team sweatdropped at the rookie's attempt.
"Maybe- I don't know! But what I DO know is that Tony sacrificed for the team's was truly the way it goes! I mean, according to Jack, he was the first MCU movie, right? I say the directors did the right thing to make him to end the movie...Endgame, a very fitting name." he said, stroking my hair. I wiped my tears and gave the mech a weak smile.
"You're so corny." I laughed, pushing the mech gently.
"Haha, got you to laugh!" he said, hugging me tightly before whispering into my ears, making my breath hitched at his sudden husky voice.
"Though, I rather not see you cry over Tony's death. Keep in mind next time, no more sad movies. My job is to make you happy, little Belle." He said, flashing me a grin and gave my head a peck.
"OOOOOOHHHH!!!" The team's eyes and optics went wide as they gasped. Sighing, I gave the team a flat look.
"What? You guys didn't know?" I huffed, still not releasing my hold on Smokescreen's shirt. I was currently on his lap, my hands gripping his shirt as I glared at the team childishly.
"You haven't spoken of this to the team yet, (Y/N)?" Optimus raised an optic ridge at me, not bothering of the team's gasps again.
"OPTIMUS, YOU KNEW!?" Ratchet yelled.
"Yes, was it not obvious?" he deadpanned. The team stared at him with disbelief, not able to process at how the frag was this situation obvious!
"(Y/N)! Mama's gonna freak out!" Raf said, still in shock. I gave my little brother a smile and kissed Smokescreen's cheeks, smirking mischievously at him.
"Who said about telling mama?'
