I had fallen asleep after Liam started rubbing on my back trying to calm me down. It affected him as much as It affected me. I had slept for only three hours. I was woken up by Scott coming into Liam's room. I ignored it and Liam put the covers over the both of us.
"Daisy, Liam." Scott said softly.
"No, i'm...I'm sick." Liam said as he started fake coughing.
"You're not sick." Scott said.
"Yeah, Im like deathly ill. It's serious. I think...I think it's the flu." Liam said.
"You dumbass, it's not flu season." My voice was raspy and low from all the crying last night.
"Uh, then I probably have Pneumonia." Liam said as he faked coughed again.
"You're a werewolf. You can't get Pneumonia. But you know what you can get, is in trouble for being late to school. So come on, let's go." Scott said as he pulled the covers off of Liam and I.
I groaned as I searched for a blanket that was next to me, raping myself in it.
"I don't think I should go to school. Or outside. Or anywhere. Ever again." Liam said as he put the covers back up. He was pretty pissed at himself for not controlling himself last night. A lot of people saw him and were afraid of him.
"It doesn't matter what you think, okay? Because you gotta go. Now all you do is pretend like nothing happened." Scott said.
"Pretend? I'm just supposed to pretend?" Liam said as he sat up removing the cover form his face.
"Think of it like when Superman gets caught with his glasses off. You know, he doesn't give up." Scott said as I slowly sat up and rested my head on Liam's bed frame. "He puts them back on and says 'I'm still Clark Kent.'"
"You want us to wear glasses?" I spoke up and Scott looked at me like if I was slow.
"No! I want you to go to School, Okay?" Scott said as he grabbed both Liam and I from the bed dragging us to the floor. "And be Liam Dunbar, And Daisy McCall. Just like Superman has to be Clark Kent. Like Spider-man, and Captain America..."
"But Captain America is just Steve Rogers. He doesn't have to pretend everyone already loves him. Unlike us, who everyone hates. They hate us for trying to save their lives." I say as I look at the ground letting out a small sigh I was holding.
"You're right." Scott said as he knelled to the ground. "We are trying to save lives. Which is why both of you are gonna get up and go to school and pretend like nothing happened. Because if you don't, more people could die." Scott said as he looked between Liam and I.
"Because of me." Liam said his head faced down.
He thought it was his fault that Brett and Lori died. It wasn't his fault, or anyone's. They were murdered. Seeing Liam feeling guilty breaks my heart, he knows he didn't kill them, he just wanted to save them.
"I didn't really know Brett or Lori. Well, not like you guys did. But I know you two." Scott said as he looked at both Liam and I. Scott got up and grabbed Liam's and I's backpack. "And if you're afraid of seeing more of your friends die, you guys will go."

Liam and I walked into school and so far, it was okay. Mason came up to us with the small smile that he always has. I smiled back, kindly.
"Okay, not as bad so far. This might be easier than we thought." Mason said as we walked towards his locker, which was still a bit away.
"Maybe." Liam said.
We spoke too late.
"He's one of them. What's he doing here." A girl in the hallways snickered to her friends.
Everyone just started at Liam and I with pure fear. I didn't even lash out, so why were they looking at me?
"What are they thinking letting them, come to school?"A guy said as he crinkled his nose.
Everyone just stared.
"Take a picture, maybe it'll last longer!" I almost snapped, people were quick to turn around.
"Calm down." Mason said as we got to his locker.
"I sit next to her in English." A girl said.
"Well, then find a new seat." The boy replied to the girl.
"Just block it out." Mason said.
"They know." Liam said as he started to open his locker which was next to Mason's.
"Just rumors. They don't know anything." Mason said from the corner of my eye I saw Theo and Corey making their was towards us.
Theo came up with a smirk, I'm assuming he sensed my anger or something, his smirk soon turned into a frown.
"Are you okay?" He asked his voice filled with pure worry. Theo and I have a good friend ship. I believe he changed. Yeah, he's still a bit cocky and flirty but he's changed.
"I'm fine." I said and smiled at Theo.
"Are you sure? Your heartbeat says other wise." Theo says as he looks at me straight in the eyes.
"Yes, i'm good." I said as I looked back at his eyes. He nodded in response.
"They know everything. And they think Daisy is one too." Corey said.
"Me?! I didn't even lash out last night!" I said as my face purred pure shock. "No offense, Liam."
"No offense taken." Liam said as he leaned on the lockers.
"Not all of them, but some of them think you're a creature because you hang out with Liam." Corey said.
"That's bull." I said as I rolled my eyes.
"Two sophomores on the Lacrosse team were there last night." Corey said.
"Yeah, but it was late, it was pitch black out, and there was fog on the road." Mason said.
"It was a clear night. Full moon. And well-lit intersection." Corey said as he looked at Liam.
"I have to get out of here." Liam groaned.
"No, if you leave, these rumors never stop. You guys just have to convince them that you guys are regular kids." Mason said as he looked at Liam and I.
"But we are not regular kids." I said.
"Remember what Scott said, be Clark Kent." Mason said.
"Clark Kent turns into a guy with a red and blue outfit and a cape. I turn into a monster with claws and fangs." Liam said as his nose crinkled a bit.
"Just get through the day without shifting and these rumors will stop quicker." Theo said.
"Look, people are saying that Brett and Lori died in a car accident." Mason said which made my muscles tense, every time someone brought up Brett and Lori my muscles just tense up. I felt Theo's hand on my shoulder for reassurance. "We know the truth. They didn't just die. They were murdered."

After first period, let me just say, it was exhausting. But after first period Mason told us to meet with him, Theo and Corey urgently.
"I over heard Nolan talking to Gabe." Corey said as I and Liam walked up to him, Theo, and Mason.
"You're spying on them?" Mason asked Corey.
"Since they stabbed me? Yeah." Corey said as we starting waking to our next classroom. "Nolan's gonna try to get one of you guys to shift. He needs proof and he wants everyone to see it." Corey said as he looked at Liam and I.
Could this just get any worse?
"What's he gonna do?" Theo asked Corey.
"I...I don't know. That's all I heard." Corey said as we were about to turn a hallway I heard Nolan and Gabe coming.
"Can you stop obsessing about what people are saying?" Mason said.
"It's Nolan and Gabe, they're coming." I said and Mason's eyes went wide .
Mason looked at the councilor office and motioned Liam to go in there. Liam went in there and Nolan's footsteps were getting closer.
"Theo take her out of here, now." Mason demanded Theo and he nodded before taking my hand. I tried to ignore that little spike that I felt in my stomach when he touched my hand.
"Where are we going?" I asked Theo as he dragged me to a storage room.
"Keeping you safe." Theo whispered to me as he shut the door of the storage room.
It was quite a small storage room. It was also completely dark. Suddenly the light turned on.
"Found the switch." Theo said as he let out a small chuckle.
"What do you think they're gonna do?" I asked Theo trying to make a conversation.
"I don't know, but they're not gonna touch you, okay? You're gonna be safe as long as i'm around." Theo said and I looked at him with pure awe. Theo has been such a good guy, my stomach goes crazy when he says something or does something. Sometimes I even got nervous. That doesn't mean i'm catching feelings, right?
"Okay." I whispered. "Thanks."
"For what?" Theo asked as he furrowed his brows.
"For changing, I guess. You're not the same guy that we sent to hell a few months ago." I said in a low whisper.
"I deserved it." Theo said as he shrugged his shoulders.
Before I could respond the door opened revealing Mason, Corey and Liam.
"They're gone." Mason said as he grinned at the sight of Theo and I together in a room.
"Okay." I said as I rolled my eyes as he kept that grin smeard on his face.
"Hey, i'll catch you guys later- i'm gonna go get something from my truck." Theo said.
"We have class right now." I said.
"Yeah, i know. I just have to get a sheet from my truck." Theo said.
"Okay." I said and watched him leave as he sent a wink in my direction, I crinkled my nose and rolled my eyes at him.
"So, Theo?" Mason said as he nudged me.
"No. Nope. There's nothing going on. Nothing to talk about. Nothing-" I said but got caught off by Liam.
"Why are you nervous, then?" Liam said with a smirk.
"I'm not nervous, it's just- it's hot in here- we should get to class." I said as I walked to our next class.
Let me just admit right now. I'm afraid of liking anyone. I'm afraid of having feelings, getting attached, getting heart broken, being in-love. It's just all something i've never ever dealt with. That's why it's hard for me to open up and to express myself.

"Okay, on a serious note. I think I know who the new hunter is." Liam said as we walked to our next class with Mason.
"Who?" I asked.
"Our guidance counselor." Liam said which made my eyes go wide. There was always something suspicious about her.
"So, are we gonna kill her?" I asked my thoughts went to, she killed Brett and Lori.
"No! Daisy, you always think about killing someone, Malia definitely got into your head." Liam said.
"She killed Brett and Lori. Killing her will make us equal." I said as I shrugged my shoulders feeling tense.
"So our guidance counselor is a werewolf hunter? I'm never asking for guidance again." Mason said as we walked into the classroom.
Liam sat in his assigned seat and so did I. The girl next to me looked at me once and all of her was pure fear. She picked up her things and left. I looked back and The girl Liam was sitting next to him did the same .
"Maybe they forgot something." Mason said as Corey entered the class and sat next to Mason.
"Is there a problem?" Mrs.Finch asked Liam and I as to why those girls moved.
"Um, no. Not with me." Liam said and then Mrs.Finch turned to look at me.
"There is no problem here." I said looking down at the desk.
"Okay, who will let Liam join their group?" Mrs.Finch asked and nobody raised their hands except for Mason and Corey. "Okay. Liam turn your chair you will be working with Mason and Corey." Mrs.Finch let out a sigh. "Who will let Daisy join their group?"
Again, nobody raised their hands except Mason and Corey.
"Someone other than you two." Mrs.Finch said as she pointed at Corey and Mason. But again nobody buldged to raise their hands. "Hmm. You all have one more minute for someone to volunteer or the whole class fails the day's lab."
I turned around to face Mason, Corey and Liam.
"This is just making it worse." I whispered.
"Yeah, well, it's about to get worse-worse." Corey whispered back.
"Why do you only show up when there's bad news?" Liam almost snaps at Corey.
"The entire Lacrosse team is looking for you. They're blocking the exits. They want you more because of your anger. Daisy doesn't have anger issues so they think she can control herself. They're coming after you." Corey told Liam.
This is gonna be a problem.
"Why?" Mason asked Corey as to why the Lacrosse players were blocking the exits.
"They're gonna try to make Liam shift in front of everyone.." Corey replied to Mason.
"That definitely can't happen." Mason said.
"What are we gonna do?" I asked and before anyone could answer I was interrupted.
"All, right, Daisy, looks like you're not winning the popularity contest, so why don't you work alone?" Mrs.Finch said as I turned back to look at her.
The door opened revealing Theo. I sighed in relief, thank the lord I didn't have to do this assignment alone.
"I'm sorry I was late I was-" Theo said but soon got cut off.
"It's fine, Theo. You're just in time. You're partners with Daisy." Mrs.Finch said as Theo made his way over to me with a smirk. "And i'll decide whether or not I was bluffing about failing everyone."
"You're welcome." Theo whispered to me.
"For what?" I whispered as I turned to look at him.
"I just saved your ass from working alone." Theo whispered to me.
"What do you want? A kiss on the ass?" I asked him as I furrowed my brows.
"That would be nice." Theo said with a smirk as he shrugged his shoulders.
"You're such an ass." I said as I chuckled.

So the plan was for Mason and Corey to hide Liam, somewhere so that Nolan and Gabe won't find him. Corey managed to use his invisibility on Liam and they hid Liam successfully.
Theo and I were walking in the hallways when we got stopped by Gabe and Nolan. I literally despise these people.
"Oh. Hey, Nolan." I said as I tried to be nice and smiled.
"Where's your plus one?" Nolan asked as he checked behind me. I'm presuming he's talking about Liam.
"Liam? He left home. He was sick he had Pneumonia ." I said as I put my hand on my hip.
Nolan grabbed something from his pocket and threw it over Theo. It was some white powdery. I'm assuming he thought Corey was hiding Liam behind Theo.
"What the hell!" Gabe snapped as he saw neither Corey or Liam.
"Where are they!" Nolan snapped at me.
"I told you he has Pneumonia." I said.
"I'm assuming your little play didn't work. And you just messed up my hair, for no reason." Theo said as he dusted the white dust off his hair.
"Okay, fair enough. If we won't go to him. He'll come to us." Gabe said as he grabbed me and pulled me into an empty classroom.
Fuck.
Theo tried to attack Nolan, but before he got the chance about five Lacrosse players charged themselves at him.
Gabe shoved me into an empty classroom, well not so empty after the kids that were in joying this came into the classroom.
"Where is he!" Gabe demanded as he pushed me up to the nearest wall.
"I'm not gonna tell you anything!" I said through gritted teeth.
"Tell me where he is or i'm gonna have to torture you." Gabe said as he brought his fist up to my face.
"You know, I really do try to see the best in people. But seriously...Some of you fuckers are making it so damn hard." I said and his fist came in touch with my face.
That stung a little. I closed my eyes and held in a breath, a deep breath before I could explode and rip him in half. Nolan then came into the room.
"Are you having fun?" Nolan asked me as he came closer to me.
"Yup, the best i've had." I said sarcastically as I opened my eyes.
"Well, you're about him have some more fun." Nolan said as Gabe tried to lift my shirt up.
"What the fuck is up with you!" I yelled as I tried to get Gabe's hands off of me. Nolan looked at Gabe like that wasn't apart of the plan. Gabe wasn't supposed to touch me in any sexual way, yet there he was trying to lift my shirt up.
"Touch her, and I will rip you in half!" I heard Theo yell at Gabe as he was being held by the lacrosse players just right outside the door.
"I'm here! Leave her alone!" Liam yelled as he was outside the door. Soon after Liam said that, Gabe stopped what he was doing.
"Looks like you're saved, princess." Gabe said with a smirk.
"Don't call me that again!" I said as I was about to explode.
"Leave her alone. I'm here. Let her go." Liam demands Gabe. And Nolan told the Lacrosse guys to let me out the room.
The lacrosse players that were holding Theo had let him go. Theo immediately started running towards me.
"Are you okay? Did he try anything? I'm gonna tear him in half-" Theo said as he went to walk into the room but I stopped him by grabbing onto his arm.
"I'm okay, he didn't do anything." I whispered to Theo and he pulled me into a hug that I didn't expect. I hugged him back in fuming all his scents. He was in pure awe. He smelt like good cologne, like really good.
The moment was interrupted when I heard grunting. It sounded to familiar...Liam.
I ran over to peek my head into the room and Gabe and Nolan were beating Liam aggressively. Liam didn't fight back which surprised me.
"Come on. Coach,will do something about it." Theo said as he saw the tears forming in my face. I nodded and Theo took my hand as we rushed over to the locker rooms.
We managed to get into Coach's office.
"I'm sorry, kids i'm working wh-" Coach said but Theo interrupted him.
"Gabe and Nolan are beating up Liam." Theo said and Coach immediately stood up from his seat and stormed up to the room.
I didn't even realize but Theo and I still had our hands linked onto each other.
Coach stormed into the classroom, Liam looked almost dead. There was blood croaking from his mouth. There was blood all on his face.Be was sweating. He hasn't shifted. Gabe was about to throw another punch at Liam.
"WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE!" Coach yelled as he stormed over to Gabe and grabbed his fist standing him up. He grabbed Nolan as well. "Back off! Hey! Get to the principals office! Now!"
Coach let go of Nolan and Gabe and they both made their way into the principals office.
"Now what the hell is this! Get out all of you!" Coach demanded. " I can't stand to look at your faces!" all the people rushed out leaving only, Corey, Mason, Theo and I. I let go of Theo's hand.
Coach knelled in front of Liam where he was laying on the ground. Coach looked at us to help him, and Mason, Corey, Theo and I rushed to help Liam up.
"Come on, come on, there you go. Let's go." Coach said as we got Liam up. soon after he left the room.
Mason and I helped Liam up as his arms were wrapped onto our shoulders.
"I can't believe you did that." Mason stifled out to Liam.
"Clark Kent, right?" Liam said softly as he looked at Mason and I.
"Yeah, Clark Kent." I said as I sent Liam a teary smile, he then leaned his head on my shoulder.

After cleaning Liam up in the bathroom, Theo and Corey left home. Mason and I helped Liam outside.
"I know what you were doing." Mason said as we walked out the school doors.
"Trying not to shift." Liam said pointing the obvious.
"No, you took that beating because you think you deserve it because of what happened to Brett and Lori." I said as I whispered Brett and Lori's name.
"Maybe I do." Liam said as we got to Mason's car, leaning on the car.
"You took a beating, but you didn't deserve that." Mason said.
"Look, I know I didn't kill them. A hunter did. And she has a name." Liam said talking about Monroe.
"Yeah, and she also got new recruits too. See, Nolan's not the one you gotta worry about now."Mason said.
"You mean Gabe?" I asked.
"No, I mean, like, every one. Nolan didn't just want Liam to shift in front of everyone to show them that he's a werewolf. He wanted to show everyone that you guys are the enemy's." Mason said.
And I knew what he meant.
"That we should be hunted." Liam said realizing.
