Chapter 37: 36|Zoo

Forbidden Love || Theo RaekenWords: 12764

Theo was driving me to the abandoned zoo where we would meet with Mason to see if he got the supplies with Liam.

I picked up my phone as Theo put his truck in park at the parking lot of the abandoned zoo.

I dialed Mason's number to see if Nolan was following him.

"Did it work?" I asked as I shifted in Theo's truck slightly.

"Yup, Nolan's right behind us. Like, literally right behind us." Mason spoke from the other side of the line. "He's driving a bright red car."

"He's actually terrible at this." Liam spoke.

"Okay, just be careful, both of you." I said as I turned around to see Theo tapping on the steering wheel impatiently.

"Okay." Mason said before he hung up.

After a few seconds of total awkwardness of being in a car stuck with Theo, Mason and Liam had pulled up in Lydia's car. I got out of Theo's truck, shut the door behind me and walked over to Lydia's car.

"Hey, how close is he?" I asked referring to Nolan.

"He's back down the road. Don't look." Liam said from the passengers seat.

Theo walked over to the back of Lydia's car to get the supplies.

"Are you sure you don't want me to go?" Liam asked me as he looked at Theo from the back window.

Obviously Liam and Theo were still pissing each other off. Liam really didn't trust Theo with me.

"Yes, I'll be fine." I said as I rolled my eyes.

"Should I come with you guys?" Mason asked as a grin appeared on his lips.

Theo came into view.

"His friends shoot to kill. Go home." Theo said as he looked over at Mason and walked over to the zoo.

"Okay, yeah, Lydia will probably kill me if anything happened to her car." Mason said as he nodded.

"Anyways, so..." Liam said but I quickly cut him off knowing what he was going to say.

"Don't worry about it. Nolan's gonna do the rest." I said sending a small smile to both Mason and Liam before they left.

•••

Theo and I hid inside the zoo where we got a perfect view of outside to see if anyone showed up, later on Nolan showed up with two other men.

"Where are they?" One of those guys asked as he got his gun from the truck.

"Inside the Zoo. They're all here. It's not just the two of you, is it?" Nolan asked unsure.

"What do you mean 'just?'" The taller guy said.

"It's not just a pack, okay? There's an Alpha and a Banshee. They're all here." Nolan said his voice shaking.

"I don't see all of them." The taller one said. "I don't see anyone."

"I...I saw Theo and Daisy bringing a car full of food and supplies right here. There were atleast six sleeping bags, okay?" Nolan said as the older men eyes him.

"It's just Nolan and two other guys. This isn't gonna work." I whispered to Theo as we were crouched down listening into Nolan.

"Where's the backup?" Theo asked. "I mean, shouldn't there be like, twenty of them?"

"I mean, they only saw us, and they most likely will not believe Nolan." I said .

"Okay. Then they have to believe us. Isn't that right!" Theo said as he shouted the last part.

"Why the hell are you yelling?" I whispered.

"You got a problem? Oh, that's right, you always have a problem!" Theo shouted as he stood up.

"What the hell are you doing?" I asked softly as I stood up.

"Shut up!" Theo said as he looked at me once and punched me knocking me to the ground.

Oh, i'm so going to murder him.

"Yeah, you see that, Scott? Your little sister can't even take a punch. And what do you think, Malia? What, you think she can take me?" Theo shouted as I got up and grabbed my jaw.

"Okay, okay. I get it. But did you actually have to punch me?" I asked as I felt my jaw starting to heal, to late, Theo threw another punch at me.

Theo and I started wrestling each other, until I finally got a grip on his leather jacket pushing him up against the stone wall, our faces dangerously close, I back my face away and bring my fist up about to punch but he dodged my punch making me fall again letting out a low growl from how frustrated I was.

"See what I mean, Scott? She's only good in a fight when she's angry. So let's see just how angry she gets. " Theo says as I get up from the ground snarling as Theo smirks.

Theo and I began to wrestle again, I managed to break his nose two times. Yeah, karma's a bitch. Literally. Theo ran his claws over my shirt literally ripping right through it.

"Are you done? Or should we keep going?" I asked as Theo backed into the stone wall holding himself.

"I think they're sold." Theo said as he looked out to see that Nolan and the other guys were calling backup.

"You ripped my shirt." I remarked as I looked at my shirt that was nearly hanging off.

"Yeah? Well, you broke my nose. Twice. It healed, you broke it again. Two times." Theo said as he held up two fingers.

I decided to get payback for him ripping my shirt so I punched him again making him fall onto the ground.

"Three times." I said as I smirked holding up three fingers.

Theo grunted as he got up, holding his nose, he looked at me and scoffed.

He then proceeded to take his leather jacket off and tossed it over to me.

"Thanks." I whispered as I put the jacket on and smiled.

"Yeah, no problem." Theo said as he cleaned the blood from his nose.

•••

"There's still three of them, and it's been half-an-hour." I said as I walked the stone steps.

"Don't blame me. You're the one who picked the abandoned zoo. The hell are we doing in this place anyway?" Theo asked.

"Because- it's like Mykonos."

"Like what?" Theo asked unsure.

"The Greek island. In the city they built these long, narrow, winding streets, that all meet up with each other. The invaders would get lost in them like they were in a maze trying to figure out which way to go." I said as Theo just stood there with a small smile. "What? I like History."

"I'm impressed." Theo said with a smirk. "It's a good idea."

"Yeah, only if the invaders actually show up." I said.

"I think they just did." Theo said as we saw many cars pull up.

Monroe and Gerard were here, pure anger fills me.

Pure.

Even Nolan, it's just anger that fills through my veins.

And Allison, I used to come here with her, it wasn't such a good idea to come here.

God, I miss her.

"Hey, let's go. We're supposed to be decoys, not target practice, you still working on that anger?" Theo said as he was backing down on the steps.

"I'm fine." I said a little too harsh.

"Well, you can be angry at Nolan and stay alive. Come on." Theo said as he grabbed my shoulder. I knocked his hand off my shoulder and he scoffed.

"Fine get caught." Theo said as he left the stone steps.

"Spread out. Nothing gets in or out." I heard Gerard yell at his men, a low growl came from me.

•••

"If you keep looking, he's gonna see you. Get back." Theo said as I peeked my head out again to see if Nolan was still there. "I'm not dying out here because you want payback against him, okay?" Theo said and I ignored him again and peeked once again. This time I felt Theo's hand grab my arm and pull me away.

"Let go." I said through gritted teeth.

"Calm down!" Theo almost snapped as he still had the grip on my arm.

"I said let go!" I snapped as I felt my eyes flash a yellow.

"What's going on with you? This can't just be Nolan. Something around here is triggering you." Theo said as he let go of my arm.

"I'm fine." I said not maintaining eye contact with him.

"What is it? The hunters? You don't like cages, scared of heights?" Theo asked.

"I said... I said i'm fine." I said as I breathed in deeply.

"There up here!" A voice from behind said.

I turned around and saw Nolan pointing his pathetic arrow at me. I growled and lunged myself at him.

Now that i'm half transformed in my werewolf form, Nolan reeks with fear.

"She wants me to kill you. She'll kill me if I don't." Nolan stuttered as he stood up.

I simply just snarled at him, Nolan puts his finger on the trigger of the arrow. I growl and shoved Nolan to the rock wall, she scrunch's up his face in fear as I bring my fist up. I take a look at my fist before punching at the rock wall centimeters away from Nolan's face.

I throw another punch to the rock wall, and another, and another, until it literally broke. I looked T my hand it was covered in blood, but it began to heal. I looked at my face again, and this time I was not gonna miss a chance to punch Nolan.

Until someone hit my head knocking me out.

•••

I woke up in Theo's truck, I grabbed my face, mostly my jaw it hurt like a brutal bitch. I groaned a little as I touched my cheek.

"I had to knock you out." Theo said as he drove, i'm assuming to my house.

"Yeah, how many times?" I asked as I sat up straight.

"Five." Theo said as he smiled, like he was proud. I sighed and it went silent.

"I almost killed him, didn't I?" I asked softly.

"Almost, but you broke your hand trying not to." Theo said.

"That's new." I scoffed.

"Next time you come up with a plan like this, pick a place that doesn't trigger a murderous rage." Theo spoke.

"I didn't think this was gonna happen." I said as I shifted in his seat to get comfortable.

"Whether you meant it or not, you picked the spot. You made the plan. You wanted me to help." Theo said.

"If I needed your help for anything, it'll be so that I get angry enough to kill you myself." I said .

"You brought me here because that thing that came out of the hunt is affecting you too. You need to figure this out before you completely lose it." Theo said as he turned to look at me for two seconds then back on the road.

"The Anuk-ite causes fear, not anger." I said as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.

"People only feel one emotion at a time, Daisy. Which is why you get angry when you're afraid. That's why you almost tore Nolan apart." Theo said.

"If the Anuk-ite can cause this, what do you think it's doing to everyone else?" I asked and Theo looked over at me.

"Probably a lot worse." Theo said as he shrugged his shoulders and parked in front of my house.

"Thanks, for the ride." I said without meeting Theo's eyes. I got out of his truck and walked up my porch. I stood still for a couple of seconds.

I walked back to Theo's truck and stood in front of his window side. He saw me and rolled down the window.

"I know, that, you don't have anywhere to sleep." I said softly.

"H-how?" Theo asked ashamed.

"The night, the hellhound was at the school. Your truck was there and I saw you sleeping there. Not that I was spying you or anything." I said. "You can stay here, you know. I'm sure Scott won't mind."

"Are you sure, I don't want to bother-" Theo said but I cut him off.

"Yeah, you can stay in Isaac's old room." I said with a small smile.

"Thanks, really." Theo said with a smile, that kind of smile that lifted anyone's heart in a second.

We both got inside and I walked up the stairs with Theo.

"Wait here." I told Theo as I was outside Scott's door.

I knocked lightly before entering shutting the door behind me.

There stood an awkward Malia and Scott.

"Was I interrupting something?" I asked as both Malia's and Scott's face turned redder than a tomato.

"What do you want, Daisy?" Scott asked as he chuckled lightly.

"Okay, so, Let's see. Can Theo stay here? And before you say no, he doesn't have anywhere to stay, okay? Just be nice, think about it, he's changed, look you don't have to trust him, okay? Or like him or anything-" I started rambling but soon got caught off by Scott.

"It's fine, he can stay." Scott said calmly surprisingly "I don't trust him, but he's changed."

"Oh- my god! Thank you!!!" I squealed as I jumped up.

Scott walked over to open the door of his bedroom and there stood Theo.

"You can stay in Isaac's room." Scott told Theo. "I don't expect to see you two in each other's rooms."

I scoffed and Theo chuckled.

"I understand." Theo said as Scott nodded.

•••

We all went to the kitchen where there was, Argent, Mason, Lydia, and my mom, plus Scott, Theo, Malia and I.

My dad entered the house without knocking.

"Scott, Daisy. Okay." My dad said as he looked at both Scott and I. "You guys can't leave, no one can."

"Nice to see that you've changed your mind. I'm afraid to ask why." My mother asked.

"It's Gerard's weapons." My dad spoke. "The guns, they've all been distributed illegally to the citizens of Beacon Hills. All of them, and at no charge.."

"What, he just gave them away?" Scott asked in disbelief.

"No. He's arming his army." Argent spoke up.

"Get down!" Lydia yelled out of no where.

I felt a body protect me, I looked up and saw Theo.

Then gunshots started going from the window into the house.

After what seemed like forever, the gunshots stopped. I sat up and my eyes went wide to what I saw, my mom was laying on the ground with blood all over her.

She had been shot.
