Chapter 38: 37|Merge

Forbidden Love || Theo RaekenWords: 7766

I was sitting next to Scott, we were at the hospital. Theo sat on the other side of me. We brought my mom in last night. And Lydia, my dad, and Mason, they were all hurt.I have been eavesdropping on every nurse that was working on my mom.

"I think she's coagulopathic. I need another suture. The bullet missed the ascending aorta. Brachiocephalic is intact." I heard Dr.Geyer say.

Malia made her way to sit on the side of Scott and held his hand for support.

"Hemodynamics are stable. She's gonna be okay." I heard Dr.Geyer said and I sighed in relief, a few tears threatened to fall again.

I had cried the whole night. But she's gonna be okay. I felt Theo's hand rub my back, I looked back at me and he gave me a sad smile.

"She's gonna be okay." He mumbled, and I nodded.

"Scott, I have to go do something." I whispered to Scott.

"Where are you going?" Scott asked.

"I have to do something, i'll be quick, just let me know if something else happens to mom." I said as I got up.

"Do you want me to go with you?" Theo asked and I shook my head.

They weren't gonna like what I was about to do.

I had made it to the school, my firs instinct was to find Gabe.

I finally found him and literally dragged him into the locker room, shoving him in, closing the door behind me.

"I don't know anything. I swear. I don't know what happened at your house." Gabe said as I walked over to him, my anger rising from hell.

I grabbed him by his shirt lifting him up.

"Do you know who was there? Did you know my mom was there!" I snapped in his face.

"No, I didn't know anything. I don't know anything." Gabe said as my eyes flashed their amber.

I let go of Gabe's shirt and pushed his head onto the mirror that was there. Not hard enough to break the mirror, yet.

"Maybe you haven't noticed lately, but i've been having trouble with controlling myself. And when things happen to my family, my friends, I just can't seem to help it." I say through gritted teeth.

"No, Daisy, wait, please..." Gabe pleaded as I pushed his head harder onto the mirror.

"I just get so damn angry!" I snap as I pressed his head further the mirror broke.

"Stop, Daisy, please." Gabe pleaded as blood starting crinkling down his cheek.

"Do you think i'm going to kill you? Do you think we're killers? Maybe we should be." I said as more blood started pooling from Gabe's cheek.

"You're really gonna kill him?" A voice from behind said, I turned around and saw the only, Theo with his arms crossed over his chest. "I mean, I don't really care if you do. But, have you thought this through? Any idea where you're gonna dump the body? No one saw you grab him, did they? Cause that could be a problem."

"I don't care." I reply looking back at Gabe.

"I don't care either. But at least let me help. I'm the one with experience here." Theo said. "If we kill him, we'll have to find the witnesses and kill them, too. Which means we're gonna need shovels, some plastic bags, maybe a chainsaw.."

I scoffed and let go of Gabe making him fall onto the ground.

"You made your point." I said as I walked over to Theo.

"And you didn't kill him. That's progress." Theo said as he shrugged his shoulders.

"Why do you keep trying to save me?" I almost snapped.

"You might want to remember what Scott's goal has been all along...Keep people alive." Theo remarked.

"He should try harder." Gabe said as he was still on the ground.

"What are you taking about?" I asked as I turned to face Gabe.

"You don't know, do you?" Gabe said

"Know what?" Theo spoke up but Gabe didn't say anything except for sitting up against the wall.

Theo walked over to Gabe and picked him up by his shirt pushing his head over to the mirror where I had him a few minutes ago.

"about the other bodies." Gabe whined as more blood came out from his cheek.

"What other bodies?" I asked in confusion.

Gabe led us to where they kept the bodies in a dresser. Gabe opened up the freezer revealing three bodies.

"Does the teacher know about this?" Theo asked.

"That's the teacher." Gabe said as he pointed at one of the bodies.

"Unless there's a gun in there, too, this isn't helping us find the shooter." I said as I crossed my arms over my chest.

"Why'd you hide these bodies?" Theo asked.

"We didn't wanna get caught." Gabe said.

"Caught doing what?" Theo asked.

"Testing them. To see if they were werewolves. And they were." Gabe replied.

"Just like you tested Corey?" I asked a little too harsh.

"We didn't kill them. Look at their faces. Something else did that." Gabe said.

"The Anuk-ite." Theo said.

"The what?" Gabe asked.

"Why would it want to kill anyone? It feeds of fear. Dead people aren't afraid." I said as I looked over at Theo completely ignoring Gabe's question.

"Maybe the killing is just a by-product." Theo said as he shrugged his shoulders.

"Of what?" I asked.

"Of it looking for its other half. Which means it's looking for a supernatural creature. Someone like us." Theo pointed out.

"So these three could have been werewolf's just not the ones that the Anuk-ite was looking for." I said realizing.

"Which means you've been helping it." Theo said as he looked over at Gabe and closed the freezer. "Idiot."

"I don't even know what you guys are talking about. I was just helping Aaron. It was his idea to test everyone." Gabe said as he backed away slightly.

"Aaron didn't want to find more of us. He wanted to find his other half." I said as I realized who Aaron was.

"He's the Anuk-ite." Theo said.

Gabe left, I called Scott, he brought over Malia with him.

"It's a bad day for finding bodies." Malia said as her and Scott closed the freezer.

"There's gonna be a lot more if we don't find Aaron's other half." I said.

"Which we know nothing about." Theo stated.

"We do know one thing. We know it's a werewolf." Scott said.

"We need to find this other werewolf right now." I said as I looked in between Malia and Scott.

"Preferably before they merge." Theo said as he crossed his arms over his chest.

"What happens if they merge?" Malia asked.

"I don't know, but I got a feeling that it's not going to be good." Scott said as he turned around to look at Malia.

"Any chance you got to put together that army, Scott?" I asked.

"You're looking at it." Malia said just as Peter entered the room with a steering wheel in his hand.

You've got to be kidding.

"Let's hope this thing doesn't feed off of desperation. Cause this room reeks of it." Peter said.

"What happened?" Scott asked Peter.

"The hunters destroyed my perfect automobile. So,is this thing had anything to do with it, i'd like to see it's demise is...Appropriately, painful." Peter said as he set the wheels down by the window.

"I thought you had two cars." Malia pointed out suspiciously.

Peter grabbed another piece from his other car and threw it on the ground.

"There's going to be hell to pay."

All of us got home, my mom was now okay, she was resting in her bed. My mom approved of having Theo around in the house, surprisingly. I led Theo to Isaac's old bedroom, as he set down his clothes on the bed.

"Okay, I think you're set." I said as I stood in the doorway.

"Thank you." Theo whispered.

"Oh, one more thing." I said as I walked over to the dresser. "If you are going to use any of these drawers to store your clothes, don't use this one. That's where all of Isaac's scarfs are at, he will literally kill you if you even touch it. I'm pretty sure he'll come back for them, one day."

"Yeah, got it." Theo said as he chuckled a bit.

"Alright, well, I guess, i'll see you in the morning or something, I don't know." I said as I walked out of the room and headed to mine, which was just next to his room.

And with that I got comfortable and fell asleep.
