Min Yoongi
You were walking around bloated at nine months. Almost everything you did was uncomfortable. Scratch that, existing was uncomfortable. It was worth it though. The baby was due in about two weeks and then all this pain will be worth it. Suddenly the swollen ankles, back pain, and hip pain will disappear. Yoongi will be thrilled to see his son born, but he'll be glad not to see you crying from the pain anymore. Having your hips slowly open and prepare to give birth was not an amazing experience. It felt sharp at times, making your lovely lower area sensitive and it was just a b*tch to deal with. Hyosung unnie did her best to comfort you when she was around, but she's never been pregnant herself.
She has gotten d*ck though lately! That is major improvement and you were happy to hear it from your sister. Her long drought was over when she reconnected with an old flame out of desperation. Surprisingly enough, they were trying again to date. His name was Hyungseong and you still found it funny that Jimin apparently knew that guy. Small world. Yoongi teased your sister a lot about her struggles with men, but when he got this news he was actually happy for her. The two of you applauded her and then quickly proceeded to tell her to latch on to this guy or else she'll remain single for the rest of her life. The two of you were just trying to be helpful.
As you waddled around the apartment, you hummed to yourself. Yoongi told you not to do any more housework. He promised that he would take care of it, but he spends so much time at the center that you didn't want him to come back from work only to work again. Besides, you could still move. Not well, but still. Holly was currently sitting on the couch, playing with the toy version of him. The poor plushie was so old now. There were bald patches and honestly, it was pretty beaten by the dog who naturally loved to swing it around like crazy in his mouth. It was a little funny considering they looked the same. They used to.
You were currently doing some light sweeping. Normally, you would be running your flower shop right about now. That wasn't happening for obvious reasons at the moment. You were getting ready to pop any day now, but you had someone looking over the shop for you. Wonjae was doing it for you. He was the first boy Yoongi changed for the better. He was an adult now since he was twenty and was working on trying to keep his life in track. He wasn't going to turn back to what it used to be with the help of the Min family. Then Yuna also worked there part time since she needed money to help with her baby. She was currently six months pregnant so it wouldn't be long before she gave birth as well. The two were helping you out a great deal though.
Taking step forward, you tried reaching down for the dustpan. That wasn't a really good idea considering how pregnant you were. You can't see your toes standing up so there's no way you'll be able to reach it unless you lay down. Then it'll be a huge struggle just to get up all over again. Clicking your tongue in annoyance, you stomped your foot in a huff when you felt like something popped. You automatically furrowed your brows before it felt like you were peeing yourself. A gush of liquid left you as you gasped in shock. Oh God! You looked over at Holly who tilted his head at you.
"I think my water broke!" You panicked before realizing you were talking to a dog. A dog can't drive you to the hospital! Rushing to the kitchen table, you grabbed your phone to call Yoongi. It wouldn't be long before you felt your contractions. Crap, you're supposed to time those too. You don't know what you're doing.
"Hello?" Yoongi's voice came in.
"My water broke!!" You shouted as you heard a clang in the background.
"F*ck! Sh*t! Namjoon, I'm going!" Yoongi was panting now. "Don't worry! I'm on my way to get you!"
"Hurry! Thank you!" You shut your eyes tightly as the painful contraction hit.
Placing your hand on your stomach, you took in slow and deep breaths. You needed to pull through even as everything in you tensed up with pain. It was faint for now. It'll get stronger with time so you hope Yoongi gets here fast. You definitely want the drugs before giving birth. There is no way you will do a natural birth with absolutely nothing. Grabbing the hospital bag that you had packed and prepared, you gave Holly a weak smile. Everything will go well. Holly barked at you as if to cheer you on. Your back began to relax, but you knew it wouldn't be long before it felt like your abdomen was getting attacked. Holly would be fine for now. You have to go give birth.
Stepping out of the apartment, you were extremely careful going down the narrow stairs. You were trying not to get stuck as you heard the sound of a car speeding. That could only be one person. Sighing to yourself, you made it to the bottom to see Yoongi come to a sharp stop. You really didn't like him driving dangerously. Sometimes he really couldn't care less about red lights, but you didn't want him adding to his record. He's supposed to be a good boy now. Yoongi got out of the car to see your small pout at him. He rolled his eyes, pecking your lips and grabbing the hospital bag from your hands.
"I won't drive as crazy to the hospital, but you need to get in." Yoongi turned around tossed the bag inside the car. He was quick to open the passenger door, motioning you to get inside already. He was doing his best to act calm so you appreciated that.
Slowly getting in the car, Yoongi shut the car door once you were comfortable. He rushed to get back in the driver's seat. Yoongi was sweating. It was obvious to you, but you didn't say anything. He was already stressing enough about everything. Unfortunately when your next contraction hit, that didn't help ease him one bit. Yoongi was talking to you and would raise his voice loudly whenever you started contractions. It would be nice if he wasn't shouting in the seat next to you. You're just glad at this point that he was able to drive over to the hospital without speeding or doing anything else illegal.
He parked the car, jumping out immediately while you worked on unbuckling yourself. Yoongi ended up pulling the door open and unbuckling you himself. At this point, you thought he was going to carry you into the hospital himself. Hopefully he calms down when the two of you have more children. Thankfully it all managed to go by quickly. Yoongi spent his time waiting with you. It took some time for your cervix to reach ten centimeters, but eventually the doctors gave you the green light to start pushing. They gave you an epidural and you were happy not to feel the intense contractions. The staff were around you as Yoongi held your hand.
It took about five pushes in total to get that little boy out. Yoongi kept cheering you on as you did your best. Next thing you know, the baby was out and Yoongi stopped holding your hand to cut the umbilical cord. There was sweat on your forehead when you realized there was no crying. Your eyes widened as you looked at the nurses in panic. Where is your baby? Why isn't he crying? You were close to losing yourself when the nurses brought you over your baby boy. His movements were slow, looking sleepy with his eyes shut so tightly. The nurses told you not to worry about him not crying. He was breathing just fine. Taking him into your arms, you were quick to begin crying from pure joy.
"Gummy, look at him." You stared at the little guy in awe.
"He's not crying like a little b*tch after being born. That's definitely my son." Yoongi nodded with pride as you chuckled.
"Don't swear." You shook your head gently.
"It's not like he understands." Yoongi brought a hand up to his eyes, clearing his throat. Oh? You pulled your eyes away from the baby to smirk at Yoongi.
"Crying?" You smiled. "That's so cute!"
"Shut up." Yoongi didn't want to hear it.
"Wow. Treating your wife and the mother of your child like this?" You teased only to get a sloppy kiss on the cheek. You giggled as Yoongi gave his son a forehead kiss. The baby wrinkled his forehead from the affection. The little guy didn't expect it one bit. He stirred in your arms, but mainly tried to sleep in your arms. Certainly like his father. "His name?"
"Jaehyun." Yoongi booped the boy's nose. You smiled, looking at the baby. The name fit him perfect. Min Jaehyun.
Yoongi didn't have to say it, but you knew the name was similar to his younger brother. He took from the Jae from Jaehyuk and gave it to your son. Something new and similar at the same time. You let Yoongi hold his son as the staff gave the three of you some privacy. They would be coming in soon again later. Yoongi took that moment to sit on a chair next to you and cry as he held his son. He didn't want to do it with strangers in the room. You stroked Yoongi's hair to comfort him. He didn't have to say anything for you to know that he was imagining how Jaehyuk would have been as an uncle. You'll have to be a strong rock for Yoongi more than before. He might feel extremely protective over Jaehyun by the time he becomes twelve and feel odd when Jaehyun gets older than his uncle.
The first day at the hospital was an emotional one. Jaehyun was born while old memories were brought back for Yoongi. Someone new he cared about entered his life. It terrified him that he let someone else inside his world. Someone else he would protect with everything he had. There was no question about that. He just felt overwhelmed. He would stare at Jaehyun who preferred to sleep all day. When he was awake, Jaehyun stayed silent and old made grunts when he was hungry or was pooping. Jaehyun wasn't much of a crier to both of your surprise. He just slept a lot.
Yoongi and you were back in the apartment. Hyosung unnie's old room turned guest room was now the baby's room. Eventually Yoongi and you would have to move out of this cramped space. The two of you were working on it. For now, this would do. You were taking a nap while Yoongi watched over Jaehyun. He promised you he could handle the baby all on his own. He wanted to. Especially since Namjoon gave him a month off to spend with his family. He was grateful that Namjoon was paying him still to take care of his family. Namjoon's a good friend.
The new dad was currently sitting on the floor with Jaehyun. The baby sat on a soft, plush mat while on top hung a few toys. Little stars that spun around with a press of the button. Jaehyun never seemed interested in those things though. Yoongi placed his hand gently on Jaehyun's chest, smiling to feel his baby's little hear beat. Jaehyun slowly began to kick his legs as if trying to push his father's hand off him. Yoongi laughed right away as he felt himself falling deeper in love with his son. He was perfect. He wasn't too surprised though. The perfect woman of his dream's naturally would give birth to the perfect son. This was more than he could ever ask for.
"Are you trying to pick a fight with me, little guy?" Yoongi asked as Jaehyun let out a grunt. Little sounds left Jaehyun as he kicked his legs harder before he placed his own hand on his father's. Yoongi stiffened up, watching as Jaehyun gripped onto his long index finger. His hand was so small compared to his. "I love you..." Yoongi stared at Jaehyun who proceeded to put Yoongi's index finger in his mouth. "Okay, no."
Yoongi chuckled before wiping his finger on a soft cloth. It was meant to wipe up Jaehyun whenever he drooled which was a lot of the time. Yoongi gently cleaned up Jaehyun's lips, staring at the little guy with adoration. His tiny hands were always in closed fists as if he were ready to punch everything around him. What are you even angry about? Yoongi leaned down to blow raspberries into Jaehyun's stomach. The action was ticklish and got Jaehyun to let out a squeal. He smiled, moving more as he stared up at Yoongi. He squealed? Yoongi blinked at Jaehyun in surprise to hear that leaving his son. That's a first. Jaehyun giggled as Yoongi felt his soft heart aching. He needed to take a moment.
Jaehyun will be fine for a quick second. Yoongi took in a deep breath as he ran out of the room to storm in yours. He jumped on you, screaming into the sheets and waking you up. It startled you so much. What's going on? Why is he acting like this? You looked around and stared at Yoongi in shock. Placing your hand on his face, you tilted your head at him.
"What's going on?" You were getting ready to stand up in fear.
"Jaehyun giggled." Yoongi shoved his face in the pillow, muffled screams leaving him. You laughed before kissing the back of his head.
"Go back to Jaehyun right now." You patted his back.
"Yeah, yeah!" Yoongi jumped onto his feet, rushing back to check on his baby who was only kicking the air. "You literally don't do anything but sleep and eat and I love you so much. What the f*ck?" Yoongi's gummy smile appeared on his lips, going back on the floor with his son. He played with Jaehyun without realizing you were watching happily by the door now. He's such a good father.
There was no doubt in your mind about that. Yoongi continuously showed love and affection towards Jaehyun. It warmed your heart every time to see the two of them bonding. Yoongi was always excited to see Jaehyun. It was so adorable and Holly was even feeling jealous to see Yoongi giving the baby so much attention. Yoongi couldn't believe he had turned into a family man. The same guy who used to start fights, sell drugs, and just do awful things to survive. So much progress. You were always proud with how far Yoongi came even though he always tried to thank you for saving him. He's the one who wanted to change so you don't take credit.
His past still affected him. That was the sad part. Luckily gangs left Yoongi alone, but tonight didn't go too well for Yoongi. He had a nightmare for the first time in a long time. He tossed and turned in bed, sweat forming on his forehead. You stirred to see him gasping in his sleep. That was enough to wake you up right away. Yoongi was shaking his head desperately, crying in his sleep. Holly woke up as you shook Yoongi awake. You held him, assuring Yoongi that it wasn't real. Whatever he had just dreamed would not come true. It was fake. Yoongi slowly calmed down as you showered him in kisses.
"Do you want to talk about it?" You stared at his scared eyes.
"...it was just that monster again..." Yoongi looked away from you, shrugging to himself. His father would usually be the center of his nightmares. You frowned at Yoongi until Holly snuck his way up to start licking Yoongi's face. That helped Yoongi as you told him to try falling asleep again.
It didn't end for Yoongi there. Mainly because he lied to you about what his dream was about. He was scared to tell you what it was truly about. He didn't want you to hate him or to be afraid of him. It took a lot for Yoongi not to cry or start punching the wall. The dream messed him up pretty bad, making him hate himself and he couldn't take it. By the time it was morning, he was out of bed with little sleep. All he said was that he would be out today. He left before you could really say anything. It's okay, you'll hold down the fort over here. It's not like Jaehyun and Holly were a handful.
While you stayed home, Yoongi frantically got in his car. He was doing his best to hold himself together for a little longer. He was shaky as he drove over to the center as quick as he could. Yoongi could barely think straight as he parked the car. Technically, he wasn't supposed to even be at work until the end of the month. He just knew who would be here this early. Yoongi's leg was shaking as he told himself to just go inside. He needed to deal with this. Biting his lip harshly, Yoongi got out of his car to enter the center. He pushed through the doors, going straight towards Namjoon's office. Yoongi didn't bother knocking when he came in. This was urgent. Namjoon looked up in surprise, looking at the clock in confusion.
"It's barely eight in the morning, Hyung..." Namjoon blinked at Yoongi. He shut the door behind him, making Namjoon worry. "Something's wrong."
"Very wrong. Very f*cking wrong!" Yoongi shouted. Namjoon quickly stood up but remained calm in order to help Yoongi. He walked over and tried to sit Yoongi down who was being stubborn.
"Tell me what it is. I thought everything was okay with (F/n) and Jaehyun," Namjoon said as Yoongi became still. The mention of his son seemed to make him crumble. It stung more than he would have thought. Namjoon sighed, bringing Yoongi over to a seat. "Hyung, you have to tell me or else I can't help you."
"I had a nightmare...and it was the worst f*cking one." Yoongi looked down at his lap, sobbing as he remembered it. He brought his hands up to his head and desperately shook his head. It all felt like a vivid memory rather than a dream. That's why it hurt him so much. It felt like there was no line between dream and reality. He was losing it. Namjoon stared at his hyung sympathetically, waiting for him to explain what exactly had him acting like this. It's been so long since Yoongi's panicked like this. "J-Jaehyun..."
"I'm listening." Namjoon stayed close.
"...I-I'm a f*cking monster, Namjoon! I'm just like him!" Yoongi started to hyperventilate. Namjoon grabbed a bottle of water before grabbing Yoongi's face. He needed direct eye contact to remind him to breathe. He needed to take things one step at a time. Namjoon didn't like seeing his hyung crying like this. This dream destroyed the safety Yoongi felt. Once Yoongi was breathing at a regular pace, Namjoon gave him the water bottle to drink.
"Take it slow, Yoongi." Namjoon reminded him.
"...I...hurt Jaehyun in the dream...I f*cking hurt him. One of the most precious people in my life. W-We were back in the trailer and I laid a hand on him for crying too much!" Yoongi threw the bottle at the wall. "I would never do that sh*t! Never! Why would that happen? I don't want to hurt him!"
"You said it yourself, Yoongi. You would never and I know you wouldn't. He's your son who you love and you're nothing like your father." Namjoon was doing his best to keep Yoongi under control. It was clear that Yoongi wanted to act up and destroy anything in his path. He wasn't in the best state right now. "Do you hear me? You are a different person. There is no way you would ever follow in his path."
"H-How do you know that for sure? What if one dayâ?"
"No what if questions. Those never happen," Namjoon spoke firmly. He watched Yoongi swallow hard, the male still struggling to stay still. Yoongi had his teeth tightly gritted as tears ran down his cheeks. It was hard for Namjoon to see his hyung like this after so long. "Why didn't you tell (F/n)?"
"She'd hate me."
"No, she wouldn't. She would be doing the same as me. Telling you that you're not capable of ever doing such a thing to Jaehyun." Namjoon squeezed Yoongi's arms, keeping him seated and still on the couch. "Yoongi hyung, (F/n) agreed to be with you and accept you for who you are. For everything. The past, the present, and the future. She wants to help carry some of your guilt off your shoulders. She would never look at you with hate. She never has. Even when you treated her like sh*t, she smiled and wanted to be your friend."
"...I don't deserve her," Yoongi muttered.
"Hyung, don't make me punch you in the face." Namjoon chuckled to receive a glare from Yoongi. "You're happy with her. The happiest I've ever seen you and she wanted to be with you. The woman waited two f*cking years for you to return from the military! That's a keeper, Hyung!"
"And I hope all of you kept your nasty f*cking hands off her in that time." Yoongi huffed.
"You weren't writing letters back so she got a lot of hugs. That's it." Namjoon grinned, pleased to see Yoongi relaxing now. Even if that meant having an angry Yoongi in front of him. "What? Are you going to try to steal the center from me?"
"That is a touchy subject and you know it, @sshole." Yoongi pried Namjoon's hands off him. "But I get what you're saying...it's not real."
"It's not. It's a dream." Namjoon nodded. "Go back home to your family. Just leave before Taehyung gets here and tries to hug you."
"The d*mn child keeps asking me for photos of Jaehyun." Yoongi shook his head, standing up and taking a deep breath. Namjoon laughed as he patted Yoongi's back.
Namjoon walked Yoongi out to his car, making sure one last time that Yoongi was okay to drive himself home. He'd be fine. Yoongi needed someone to slap him back into reality. Namjoon waved as Yoongi drove down the narrow street away from the center. The only thing was that Yoongi wasn't planning to come home. Not yet anyway. He needed to visit someone who helped keep him in check as well. Yoongi was a lot calmer this time around. His nerves didn't make him feel jumbled and all over the place. He made sure to take deep breaths as he drove. Soon he found himself in front of the cemetery.
Here goes nothing. Yoongi nodded to himself, getting out of his car with no flowers in his hands. He felt bad about that. He always brought Jaehyuk flowers. This time was a little urgent and unplanned though. Next time he'll bring double the bouquets for him then. Yoongi rubbed his sweaty hands on his pants as he walked inside. He moved slowly past the graves, heading in the familiar direction of his brother. That's when he noticed someone was already standing in front of Jaehyuk's grave. That automatically had him alert as he marched over there. His footsteps were loud though which got the person to turn. When they did, he stopped to see it was you and Jaehyun.
"W-What are you both doing here?" Yoongi walked closer to the two of you. Jaehyun was awake, resting his head against your chest as he tightly held a single flower in his hand.
"I had a feeling you would come here...your dream. It was worse than what you told me, wasn't it?" You said softly. Yoongi looked down at his feet with a sigh.
"I don't like how you're always right."
"Yoongi, whatever it was...I hope you know that we'll protect you. You're safe. We trust you and love you with all our hearts. Ain't that right, Jaehyun?" You looked down at your baby who was staring at the flower more than anything. "Well, I'm sure Jaehyuk would agree. You don't have to fear whatever your dream was about."
"...I love you." Yoongi immediately wrapped his arms around you. He kissed your forehead as you giggled. You would have hugged him back too, but your hands were full. Jaehyun was in between the two of you, looking at his father now and holding up the flower. It looked like Jaehyun was reaching to touch Yoongi's face, dropping the flower in the process.
"Oh no. That was meant for Jaehyuk." You took a step away as Yoongi crouched down to grab it. He smiled, staring at the cute little flower. Delicate and precious. Youthful. A flower worth protecting. Just like Jaehyuk. Yoongi placed the flower on Jaehyuk's grave just as Jaehyun began crying. You bounced Jaehyun in your arms, smiling awkwardly at Yoongi who stared at his crying boy.
"Hey, you're crying now, but this will be a cute story for when you're older," Yoongi said. Of course, Jaehyun kept crying. You cooed at the small baby as Yoongi faced his brother's grave. He stepped closer to close his eyes and talk to his brother. This was the first time Jaehyuk was properly meeting Jaehyun. He's the perfect little boy, isn't he? Yoongi took in a breath, blinking as his eyes stung. It felt so strange that he was moving on in his life. He graduated, did his military service, got married, and now he has a kid. All that while Jaehyuk eternally remains twelve.
Eventually Jaehyun stopped crying when you distracted him with something else. It didn't take long for him to completely fall asleep in your arms. Should you even be surprised? You smiled as you watched over Yoongi who silently caught Jaehyuk up on what's been going on in his life. You waited patiently until Yoongi turned to face you. He nodded, wrapping his arm around you. He looked back at Jaehyuk's grave before the two of you walked out of the cemetery. The walk over to the car was slow, but the both of you decided to visit the flower shop. A quick stop wouldn't hurt while the two of you were already out.
The drive wasn't a long one. Soon you were back in front of your shop, staring at it with a smile. You can't wait to go back to work. You'll wait until Jaehyun gets a few more months older before returning though. He'll be inside the shop with you while you work. It's usually easy enough here so it wouldn't be a problem to bring Jaehyun to work. Yoongi and you stood with your son, slowly entering the shop to see Yuna moving a vase onto the display. She was six months pregnant now, her belly a lot bigger. Just as Yoongi was about to offer help, Wonjae appeared to carry the vase for her. He placed it in front of the window with a sigh.
"I told you to let me do the lifting." Wonjae looked down at her as she giggled. "It's not funny."
"Your face is." Yuna grinned, but you could see her cheeks were pink. Oh?
"Are we intruding on something?" You smiled as the two turned to face you. They seemed startled, looking at the three of you as if they never heard the door ring when you all entered. Yoongi looked down at you, sighing heavily.
"Nothing at all, Mrs. Min!" Wonjae smiled as Yuna gasped. She rushed over to you, staring at Jaehyun who slept peacefully.
"He's adorable." She wanted to squeal so badly. She looked over at Yoongi, playfully punching the man. "Look at you! Being a father!"
"Don't hit me." Yoongi sighed with how excited Yuna was. "You'll be getting one of your own too soon."
"Three more months to go." Yuna sang. Wonjae smiled to himself, shaking his head as he stood behind the register to write something down. Your eyes switched between the two, too curious for your own good.
"Anything happen while I was gone?" You asked.
"Nothing. Everything is practically the same." Yuna shrugged.
"Besides Yuna forgetting she's pregnant all the time," Wonjae added.
"I don't forget!" Yuna defended herself, pouting at the male. He nodded his head, acting as if he didn't quite hear her. Yuna walked over to Wonjae, her friendly nature getting him to bicker for some reason. It felt so familiar. You turned to face Yoongi with a smile.
"What ifâ"
"Are you being nosey?" Yoongi tilted his head as you pouted right away.
"I just think they're cute together," You mumbled. Yoongi chuckled, pulling you close to him to kiss both you and Jaehyun.
"Jaehyun and you are the cute ones." He smiled happily.
